Okay, I don't hate the place. I simply called to ask them if we could come see a potential dog or cat and was told no. I had to have a specific one in mind and they aren't accepting visits. Kinda dumb. We could have potentially got an animal from them, but they aren't interested in giving me an appointment, so oh well. There are others out there.

This is an excellent humane society. They do their best to ensure every animal is healthy and happy, and they want every one to find a loving home. I adopted my cat from there and they were incredibly helpful. It is also a wonderful place to volunteer.

I adopted my cat from here 3 years ago. She was a perfect addition to my fiance and I's family. The staff was super kind! I was new to the area back than, they told me what I needed and where to get it before adopting her.

I absolutely love this place, they take amazing care of all of their animals. They have all kinds from cats and kittens to rats and bunnies. They also have a few dogs that need loving homes. Great place to visit even if you aren't thinking of adopting and just want to hang out with some loving animals in a clean and happy environment.

Staff here are nice, but they have a werid covid setup. They were not super transparent with their volunteer program over the phone, but all the tasks are made clear. Didn't adopt or anything, but they do well.

The humane society is a great service to brookings and surrounding areas. They are a no kill shelter :) get your next family member here instead of a breeder or pet shop! They even have small animals.

Had to give up my turtle because I couldn't find a vet who would see him. People at the counter were competent. Facility not as clean as one would hope.
