Store is clean, well-organized and has plenty of options for all your needs. The staff is polite and helpful. They have a walk-in cooler and wine chiller. Their wine selection is impressive for being a moderately small store. The fact that it's owned by the city is unfortunate, as the prices are higher and hours they are open are highly inconvenient, though! Good thing Volga is open after 8pm!

As a person from out of town, I thought they had a good regular beer selection (I was only looking at beer, particularly local craft beer). They did have a pretty good selection of local craft beer (mostly IPAs) and they had Drekker (ND) which is almost impossible to find, but it was mostly sold out. The sales person did give me a heads up on when more would be in, which I did appreciate. The store was clean and well organized. The staff were nice & helpful.

If you have to get just one or two things fine but you are better off just planning ahead and buy your booze in Sioux Falls as it is WAY OVER PRICED here. The place is clean and laid out well, the help is friendly and helpful. But seriously expect to pay at least 10% or more higher vs Sioux Falls except for beer.

Nice range of selections, but the little girl with the glasses is rude and has NO social skills. Even though this is a nice place, they need to find workers like the taller lady that actually asked us if we needed help with anything.

The exterior doesn't do this place justice. Inside is an amazing wine selection for a small town liquor store. And very well presented. Lots of cold drinks to choose from and a few non alcoholic beverages to mix your drinks with.

Still strange in my mind that the city owns it and controls all sales in the city. Also no competition so prices are just whatever they see fit. All in all a nice store, people are always friendly.

Good selection, good people. Parking can be a pain. Prices a bit higher than normal for a dedicated liquor store, but they are the only game in town.

Store is clean and well set up. Nice selections. No wine chiller, so plan ahead if you're wanting to drink a wine that is preferred chilled.

Seem like they only really cater to the college crowd. They don't bring in any craft beers and then tell you they can't get it. Will no longer buy beer here. Will go to Sioux falls and purchase my beer from now on.

I give the store 5 stars for selection and staff. I give the store 1 star as I do not think the City of Brookings should be in the booze business. They should only be regulating it through licenses.

Beer is always old, bought beer that was month past date, not skunky yet but taste old every other place in town and another is dated 4 months out, not just a 1 time deal happens all the time, also not cold when they put the beer cave in that got better but now back to being cool again

Nice Municipal liquor store. Have a large selection of everything to choose from. Stop here every once and awhile but have always found something. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

My wfe was insulted by the big guy that works at the cheese factory in Brookings.other employees appologized for him , big guy didnt. When you buy two large bottles of liquor ,the store gives you a $2.00 discount. He did not give it to me, i asked why not , big guy said , I DON'T do that. Fire this big guy , he is an insult to Brookings .

They've got plenty of selection, but they have to since it is the municipal(no other liquor stores allowed) liquor store. I don't really see sales on stuff that I drink, but again the selection is good.

This place is never open, stopped by 2 weeks ago during regular business hours and they were closed. Thought it was the covid stuff but nope. Apparently they are rich and don't need clientele.Disappointed........

For a municiple liquor store (which are usually expensive - since they're a monopoly), the prices here are not bad. And they have a surprising selection.
