Dr. Adam is amazing! My GSD had an ear implant 4 months ago in a different state. Long story short, the implant developed an infection so the implant needed removal. Three vets in Sioux Falls area would not even look at it! Dr. Adam took on the challenge and had it removed in 15 minutes! He's the best!

In Brookings visiting family and our dog got a hot spot. Scheduled an appt the same day at their South location and couldn’t be happier with the care we received.Dr. Breanna Leiseth and Vet Tech Holly were so thorough with their care and explaining what they were doing and what I needed to do. They were so sweet to my dog and I felt we were in great hands away from home.I felt their prices were very fair as you’re always worried about breaking the bank at the vet, not here.Totally recommend them.

We bring all of our furry family here! Staff are so kind and considerate, and know the pets by name. The doctors are efficient and take the time to make your animals comfortable. My dog, who has always hated men, fell in love with Dr. Adam Benson! He is the best and we hope he never leaves!! ❤️

Absolutely the best vet in town. No doctor there is a bad choice, and they will always do what's best for your furry babies. Genuine, caring people who only want to see pets be well, stay well, and if not, then make it back home to their family after making them well. They try very hard to make sure you understand the cost of procedures, and understand not everyone comes from a well off background. They try to assist in ways that they can to help keep pets safe and healthy at an affordable cost.

Perhaps the best veterinarian service in the region! Whether they are caring for your fur baby kitten or your hooved buddy, these guys are amazing! I love how much the staff truly care about the animals as individuals and not just commodities or property! Having experienced ag vets from various parts of the country & small animal vets alike; I’d recommend even driving extra miles to bring an animal in need here!

I have been with big sioux vet for many years even as animal medical care. They have seen and treated my animals many times. This place for me is hands down the best veterinary care we have ever experienced! We had to put our boxer down in Dec 2021 and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. We seen Dr bre for my boxer and she was amazing with us and his care and patient with us and our concerns and confusion she seemed to really care!! When he had to be euthanized we seen Dr Adam for that and he was so nice during that difficult time! I sat for almost an hr and a half on a Saturday because I couldn't leave my dog and they were patient the whole time! We see Dr Adam for our other dog (my boxers pup he was a week old when his dad died) and he's going to be having surgery for amputation and honestly I wouldn't trust any other place to do it! Everyone is so amazing and nice and I've never had a bad experience there!! I recommend them to everyone I know with pets!!

There is not enough good things I can say about the vets/vet techs here. Our puppy broke her leg and our normal vet told us to wait hours before coming in. Needless to say, we called around. Big Sioux told us to come right in despite never having brought our animals here before. They treated us and our sweet girl with such kindness and true compassion. We will never take out animals anywhere else. Thank you for all you do! They made all the difference for us❤️

Dr. Adam has made us feel so welcomed being new to town. We were worried about having to leave our old vet since he loved our girls so much but Dr. Adam has far exceeded all expectations. The amount of love he shows our girls, they get so excited to go see him. Dr. also helped me with pain management and end of life expectations for our sweet Rileybear we lost last year. We will be lifelong customers of Big Sioux. You won’t find anyone better!

Brought my dog in after ingesting some kind of toxin and we weren't sure if he was going to make it and Dr. Adam Benson saw him right away, did a full work up and blood work and started treatments the same day! My dog was pretty much paralyzed from the neck down and after a week of treatment he was showing lots of progress. Now after almost 2 weeks he is back to his fun loving self and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! We will forever be grateful for everything Dr. Benson and the staff did for our pup! Very loving and caring staff. Definitely reccomend bringing your pets here!

Dr Ayers is the best vet ever. She helped my pup through diabetes, losing an eye, cancer and everyday hurdles. The staff is compassionate and absolutely incredible with daily issues. Yes! Yes! Yes! Bring your pet here. The team is great. You can’t go wrong.

Excellent care for my dog after a 4”x 6” patch of skin from her neck and chest was ripped. I called the after hour’s telephone at 7:15 pm and Dr. Adam and two associates met me at the clinic in 45 minutes, during a tornado warning. I believe he brought his family to be safe.Great care and 4 follow up visits for a very affordable price … believe me, I have great experience in this area. I live 190 miles east in Minnesota but will see Dr Adam again. He saved my dog in a great manner and still follows up. 10.11.2017

My normal vet wouldn't do an x-ray and completely misdiagnosed my dogs problem after 2 days he was not well at all. I took him to animal medical care without an appointment they were extremely busy but worked my dog in and quickly gave him an exam and x-ray and determined he had a rock lodged in his small intestine. There surgeon was gone for the week but were able to quickly get him into surgery in Sioux Falls. Greatful for the caring and compassionate staff at animal medical care. I will be taking all of my pets to them from now on.

Took my dog here for an emergency after a horrible experience and they took great care of him! It was ten o’clock at night and they were absolutely terrific. They followed through with phone calls and scheduling appointments for the next check ups. Would highly recommend!
