As far as dollar stores go, this one is one of the nicest I've been to. Sometimes you walk in to a Dollar General and it looks like all hell broke loose, or a tornado came through or someone just ransacked the place. This particular location seems to keep their stock up and organized. I've had to ask staff a couple of times for items and they've been super helpful and pleasant.I usually stop here for odds and ends on weekends, like cleaning supplies or some emergency items. Usually they have what I need. :)The cashiers are always really nice. I don't know who is running this location but other branches could learn from them. Two thumbs up, 10/10 recommend this location.

My lady was rudely spoken to about how much an item costs as the Management had not updated the price tags on items in the store. After being treated rudely by Staff/keyholder lady about how the "prices went up" it was not as tagged and advertised in the store and still getting upcharged for items after they made it out to have "fixed it". This is not legal as per the FTA (Fair Trading Act).

This is a good place to pick up essentials quick and easy. They are like most discount stores but this one is usually well stocked. The only thing is the narrow aisles. It is kept clean and organized so finding what you need is simple.

I had tried ordering through DoorDash just some small stuff that I had forgotten about in town on my way home. Had my order cancelled twice because the store is closed. How are you gonna list your hours till ten but be closed 3 hours earlier than listed? I tried to call the store multiple times only to digest the fact that the store was indeed closed or at least was seemingly closed. It’s disgusting to me that a company would allow a franchise or any store, to commit paltry and pathetic business practices like this.

I took my friend to the Imperial for lunch and the waitress, who by the way was due to give birth in 15 days, came to our table and told us an anonymous person had paid for our meals. Such an amazing small act of kindness and especially when I was more than willing to pay for the meal plus some because the food was excellent. I never realized what great lunch specials they have. Definitely going back again!

I've been shopping here pretty frequently for about 2 years, but will not be going back. I went to buy beer with my daughter with me and the cashier squeeks literally told me he couldn't sell it to me because she didn't have her ID she's 12 why would they need to see her ID. When I asked him questions about it he insisted it was the law and was extremely rude to me.

The only reason I go to this place is because it's convenient. The employees are not friendly and somewhat lazy. I stood in line for more than 2 minutes with 3 people behind me in line and a worker comes to the front and says someone will be right with and then goes back to stocking the merchandise. There's like what 3 registers and I've never seen all 3 be used at the same time!

There was a very long line of customers but only one cashier. A second cashier finally came up, but said he was only coming up for a drink and then decided to open the second till. Sure wish this Dollar General had better customer service and not so trashy.

Great place to stop and pick up small items on the go. Staff is very friendly and customer focused. The store could have been better organized. Seems over stocked with merchandise.

Understaffed . Under stocked. Most of the things still sitting in carts and boxes. Seems to be potential for a lot of theft. The store actually sucks. If it had fresh produce. Or meat. That would help. First thing is is keeping somebody there that will work. Takes forever to check out. Even when they're not busy. Because they're trying to catch up.

They really need more employees, but for what they've got, they do a fine job....I'd be stressed working there though, not used to a life of 12 people!! I'd have a panic attack!! Gotta remember if you have 2 employees you may at first be running high labor, but eventually customers will start coming back!! & your labor WILL do DOWN to where it belongs!! 😉

Convenient location but line is usually long and the isles are not easy to navigate. There are always stocking carts in the isles so only half an isle is available to walk through. It's been like that for every visit since we moved to box elder.

Some days they only have one cashier and when that happens... it takes forever to check out! I would give them 5 stars because half the time the shelves are not fully stocked. So looking for things can be irratating.

Managment was extremely rude and wanted to close an hour early, proceeded to yell at my fiance that "we are closing get out now!" I will never go to any dollar general in the future and will let anyone that has thoughts of going there to not go. I will drive clear to Rapid City and waste gas to do my shopping from now on.

This store serves its purpose. It has a little bit of just about everything, enough to avoid having to drive all the way into town. It seems a little claustrophobic in there but that is the way they liked it I guess.

If i could put no stars I would but it's not an option!! I will never ever go to this store again, i will not give this store one penny of my money, the 2 people there where managers and both were more then rude. I will drive clear to rapid if i have to before i ever go to this disrespectful store!!!! Maybe the district manager should train the managers at this store how to be friendly and provide great customer service cause that suck at it now!!!

There was about 9 people in line and 1 cashier her name was pam and 3 other employees just standing there watching her and didn't even attempt to help her it was absolutely terrifying to watch! That poor lady handle everyone while she helped the customers so to her 5stars!

Great place, employees are friendly and it's a quick in and out store! Plus they usually have stuff on clearance. They have a dollar wrack as well!

The service is terrible. No customers service skills at all. The place is always a huge mess and unorganized. The workers don't want to work. Its very poorly ran. I hate going here and try to avoid it if I can.

I've visited a number of Dollar General stores. Most are a good break from big stores, catch some great deals and in a pinch, get stuff not found elsewhere.

the dollar General in box elder SD has the rudest employees I have ever dealt with I've been in customer service for 30 years n have never seen so many rude employees in one place in my life which says a lot for the management. only go there for last minute items I forgot in town

Stop by during a snow day the store was clean and well stocked and the lady that was working today was very polite! She told us to be careful while driving home!!

They are always out of things, sometimes staff Is nice, sometimes very rude. I literally go there when I absolutely have to other wise,I avoid it knowing 95% of the time they won't have what I need.
