Very spacious rooms which included a fridge, microwave and coffee bar. Large screen TV - not a whole lot of channels, but enough.Had breakfast two mornings - the first was all around good experience. The second, one of my colleagues waited 15 minutes for the wrong breakfast order, despite the fact that he was given an order number.The hotel is attached to both a series of conference rooms, an indoor water park and gyms.All workers were very attentive, except for the second breakfast.The gym had an assortment of cardio machines, free weights and aerobics space.If I come back for another conference, I hope it is here.

Standard Courtyard experience. Quiet hotel with a lot of options.Check in was hassle free and staff are pleasant during every interaction. I stay here every time I'm in town.I travel for work so some options I just don't use, but with an onsite restaurant, bar in the evening and coffee in the morning; you can't go wrong.Water park across the way for kids/families, but hotel is far enough away you don't feel like you are in an amusement park.My only complaint are the menu items. The "Bistro" is good, but more bar-ish food than actual food. But this is standard for Courtyards.4.5 stars is not an option.

The parking at this location is absurd considering its attached to both an event center AND a Waterpark. Every single night there were people parked along the curbs, making it difficult for the people who are properly parked to get out of their spaces. There are only 2 ways out and both of them are on a frontage road with no light, so on weekends it takes forever to get out of the complex. Overall, just a very poorly designed space. I won't be staying at any of the attached properties again.

I had a disappointing experience with this hotel. Despite contacting them just a few hours after we had left, about an item we unfortunately left behind, they failed to send it back to me. The receptionist acknowledge that they had the item in their possession, I extended my gratitude for her honesty and she said "Of course, that's how we roll here" Unfortunately, that was not the case. Their hotel "manager" Carlos Robles kept giving me the run around, said he would call me back; never did. Said he would send me a receipt of the shipping label; never did; said he would follow up; never did. He claims he sent it, but could never provide any information as to where it was sent to? I have emailed him multiple times and no effort to resolve this issue. Sadly this is the 'manager' and now his last response is "Too bad, I'm no longer at that hotel." He never followed up, so where will you send it to? The lack of responsibility and customer service was truly disheartening. I would caution others to think twice before choosing this establishment.Safety: Beware, your belongings might end up stolen

Our room had two queen beds and one sofa bed, so both kids got their own bed. The hotel is new and nicely decorated. The lights and furniture are nice and modern. There were even two TVs - although we don’t watch TV on vacation.The fitness center was quite good with enough free weights and machines for both upper body and legs, six treadmills, two or three bikes and ellipticals.The outdoor patio was nice with a large fire.There was a conference room and other facilities we didn’t use.Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed for 3 nights. The staff at the front desk were 10/10. They were kind, friendly, and willing to help. They made you feel welcome! The rooms were clean and nice! They were not outdated. Everything was modern. We even had 2 TV’s. The queen suite accommodated our family of 4 perfectly. Having access to a bar, restaurant and patio to relax was a nice perk. Especially if you have kids or just want to relax after a busy day. There was an older female employee working in the restaurant one morning that I didn’t care for. She was loud and rude/bossy to her coworkers. Personally, things seemed to operate better when she was not present. All in all, we would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.Nearby activities: It’s near Watiki Waterpark. Kids really enjoyed an afternoon there. You can head south on the main road from the hotel and it takes you to keystone and Mt Rushmore.

I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were great and the bistro accompanying the facility had a very well made burger. I strongly recommend staying here as Amelia at the front desk is professional and I had a great time talking with her about things to do in the area. It is important to get here early as parking can be a bit of an issue as the event center shares the parking lot.

The rooms appeared clean all with the exception of the pull out couches.. Huge urine stains on the pull out with bad odor. The front desk ladies were nice and accommodating and moved us rooms a total of three different rooms but all of the pull out couches were stained and had an odor. We finally gave up and made our children share a bed and avoid the pull out all together. Disappointing.

Worse Marriott ever.. No one greets u, every staff that I encountered complained about being overworked and too busy...and i agree. only 1 person working the front desk which was hard to find as the front faces another building and with a very long line. no welcome, no thank you, Map to room, parking lot just as confusing. I assumed there was a pool because there was water down the hall. Finally figured out the lamp and tv were just unplugged! The room was quiet, Breakfast was actually worse, first you have to pay, no big deal but only 1 person working and a 25 min wait! for breakfast. and this was not a busy time. When we finally got our breakfast it was good and hot. DO NOT try this on the weekend/holiday. I told the front desk at check out that we were not happy with our stay and she said "I'm really busy". which kind of summed up the whole stay.

Beautiful modern hotel. The staff was wonderful with great attitudes and the room was amazing and modern as well. Usually hotel rooms are cleanish but my room/bathroom was spotless. The bed was very comfortable which isn't always the case. I didnt have time to check it out but there was also a beautiful outside sitting area in the back of the hotel. Would stay here again for sure!

Parking is a major issue at this property and it’s only going to get worse. All guests park at their own risk (same as all hotels) so if your car gets damaged because others are forced to park outside of designated parking spots, you’re still responsible for the damages. This is something to consider if you plan to stay during busy times of the year. The parking lot is shared with a Residence Inn AND an events center which has yet to open. We stayed on a holiday weekend and the lot was completely full by 8:00 pm each night. I’ve included pictures of cars parked haphazardly. When the events center opens, I cannot fathom how bad the situation will become. This is extremely poor planning on behalf of Marriott and demonstrates a complete disregard for their guests’ needs.It seems that all you can expect from the Courtyard brand is a clean room these days. The newer properties are built very cheaply with thin walls & uncomfortable mattresses/pillows.

Loved the bistro and bar. The rooms were very clean and whoever designed the bathrooms knew what they were doing!! LOVED the showers!! Grabbed a margarita from the bar and spent our evening outside by the fire. Was a lovely evening!Only thing is, we booked a handicap room for my parents but the showerhead wasn't working. We put in a request for it to be fixed but no maintenance was done during our stay, unfortunately.Rooms: Super clean, refrigerator and microwave are esthetically hidden. Spacious bathroom and has a dimmer light option for those who like to shower with minimal lighting!Nearby activities: Watiki water park resort and there's an arcade.Food & drinks: The bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's also a restaurant in the water park!

We were looking for a room late Sunday night. We saw 1 hotel that was just inside rapid city and stopped in but the prices showed how close it was to Rushmore so we looked around and found this hotel. It was only about 10min easy drive further into rapid and than other hotels but it is the NICEST Fairfield I have ever been too! It was perfect and almost $100 less than the other hotel. Def stay here if you can!

Clean and modern hotel, friendly staff. I give out stars for quietness. Could hear everyone around us and toilet flushing above. Some rattle from equipment as well as some highway noise. I would stay here again hoping for less noise next time. It is a vacation location with other hotels due to an onsite waterpark. Depends on what you want from stay.

Loved this hotel. It was clean, modern, and comfortable. The employees were friendly and the gym is much larger than most hotel gyms I am used to. It is in a great location, as well. There isn't continental breakfast but the [paid] breakfast they do have is delicious. The prices are a bit steep, in addition to the coffee prices, but there are numerous other options in the area if you prefer. Overall, I would highly recommend.
