WAS a client until today. Called for sick cat My daughter brought him in. Spoke twice to front desk they kept asking did I want to do his routine exam. I twice said no. NOONE explained to me or my daughter that they only do blood work for routine exams. I have been to vets for over 40 years so what vet doesn't do blood work when you bring a sick animal in?!! This place apparently. Soon as I called another Vet first thing was let's get some blood work. SC Vet charged me 245 for feeling his stomach and some meds. If I wanted to spend another 300 for xrays they could make sure he didn't swallow anything. What a poor practice and if you confront them The only Vet there says go somewhere elseYou made the appt so if it was such a burden you wouldn't have seen himGood luck being a small unprofessional practice. Your front desk did not explain blood work was for routine exams only which we declined a routine exam.Sick pet= blood work. I HUNG UP because you were not listening and your staff of two people weren't listening so there was no pointGood luckwith your one room clinic where people can't be with their pets while you " examine " them.FOLLOW UPBLOOD TEST DONE FIRST THING AT RESPECTABLE VET DIAGNOSED WHY CAT WAS SICK

Southern Charm helped me when I needed it the most. I only trust them with my fur babies. My Shih Tzu has a very rare skin issue from a previous vet in York causing her to have staph infections and many other issues. I immediately pulled her from there and brought her to Southern Charm. Since then she has cleared up completely and is the happiest puppy in Town.Zowee and me Thank you Southern Charm💕

My husband and I can't THANK Southern Charm Animal Hospital enough.Over the weekend I tried calling my regular vet that we "LOVE" however their phones kept ringing and ringing, no answering service, and no number to call if they were closed. Nothing. So I sent them an email and I received a response the next morning. Even though I thought I had an emergency they said they could not see me that day. To go find an emergency vet in Rock Hill. I don't know what is up with his office, he has amazing vets that work there but the staff at the desk, he should reconsider.Any how, back to our favorite new vet!!! Dr McCay is AMAZING along with her whole staff!!! They were very attentive, concern, and very understanding. That's where I want to take my pet. They were able to see me that very day within a few hours that I called. And for the next two days they called me to see how my baby was doing. That was very much appreciated. Feel assured that if you go to this Animal Hospital you and your fur babies will be will be taken care of correctly. THANKs a million Southern Charm Animal Hospital!!!!

Can't say enough good things about Southern Charm Animal Hospital! They saved my dog's life. She was badly diabetic and had a septic bladder infection. They didn't try to talk me into a bunch of unnecessary tests and they quickly and correctly diagnosed my Penny. The doctor even researched online to find cheapest insulin for my dog. After a few more visits, Penny's blood sugar is stablized and she is a brand new dog! They even gave us a donated bottle of insulin and a discount at our last visit.I highly recommend these guys! They are caring, compassionate, great at what they do and all at very reasonable price.Can't thank you guys enough for saving my dog!

I don’t usually write reviews but this time, I will! We adopted a sweet pup with a lot of issues which was a first for me. I was terrified of what vet bills were coming our way. Southern Charm correctly diagnosed and treated our sweet boy (ALL his issues) in one visit and I was shocked at how low the bill was. He is now healthy and happy! I know all of my fur babies will be in good hands here!

Dr. Sonia and her staff have been wonderful with my cats. I have an 18 year old and a 6 year old that she has treated for various illnesses. She also helped me adopt 2 beautiful grey kittens. They were in need of someone who would be patient with socializing them. I am happy to report that they have become very loving additions to my home. They have been my project during this time of social isolation. Anyone who is looking for a caring, loving vet need look no farther .

It has been two years since my cat died. I loved this vet at first like most of you seem to. My cat was sick and I got a two minute check from vet and then she was gone After four days he still could not eat, he was extremely dehydrated. They could not see me. After taking to animal hospital I found he was miss diagnosed. After bringing him home decided I had to put him down. Call this vet, I was told they did not have time for me what was my vet , that I supported from the start had no time for me. Good luck to you all who go there I’ll be glad to give anyone the full details

Love all the staff I met today! Took my cat in, and they were the only vet who could see her last minute. Everyone was extremely friendly, and talked highly of my cat, what owner doesn't love that? Lol. I did have a regular vet, and I say "did" Because the moment my husband and I got in the car, we both said "I want to switch vets". Your pet will definitely be well taken care of here!

The staff is fantastic at this vet. I brought my 4yr old Marmaset Monkey. Dr Sonya was so educated on Primate. She knew so much on health and most of attitudes of them. I would recommend them to anyone with animals. She’s an Exotic Vet and in my area that is AWESOME. Love this Vet.

Clean, welcoming, homelike environment. Everyone friendly. I love the vet. She is down to earth, very knowledgeable, and obviously loves animals. I started going there with my new adopted cat. Loved it so much, I am now bringing all my animals there.

I have a 10 yr old diabetic cat that was was having problems breathing & sneezing so much blood that it looked like a crime scene. I took him to CVS emergency & they stated that he had a severe infection in his upper back teeth. I took him the next day to SCAH, they examined him & set up a dental for the next week. At the time they did not tell me that they did not take xrays. Over the course of 3 months this poor cat suffered from sneezing blood everywhere & continued to have breathing issues & his glucose was difficult to regulate. She then diagnosed him with polyps & told me to take him to CARE in Charlotte. They couldn't get me in until end of July. I took him to another vet & they too thought it was dental related but with his diabetic issues & they were worried about her diagnosis of polyps they sent me to a specialist in NC who got me in that week. They did a CT and come to find out it was only a dental that would have been detected by a normal dental xray & removing of 4 teeth. I also have the pictures from the specialist that show before & after of his teeth and the severe inflammation & plaque. The specialist said they would not have guessed the cat had a dental cleaning just 3 months earlier. Only because it was a specialist it cost me $4800. Her misdiagnosis of him was nothing short of MALPRACTICE! He suffered needlessly for 3 months because they don't possess the correct diagnostic tools. On top of all that I took in 1 of our dogs. She was given the paperwork for the dogs rabies shot. Though it didn't have the tag on the paper it had the tag number & the date stating that it was a 3 yr. She informed me that the rabies had expired & she gave her a new 3 yr shot. Upon checking the paperwork the dog's rabies shot didn't expire for another year & a half. I HIGHLY recommend the you NOT use this veterinary facility. Do not put your animal thru needless suffering & yourself thru needless cost.

Today I needed a vet in an extreme emergency for one of my goats and I had seen that this vet had just opened recently so I googled the phone number and called. The receptionist answered the phone and I explained what was going on with my goat and asked if they worked with goats and she said let me get the vet. The veterinarian got on the phone and asked me some questions about what was going on with my goat. I explained and she said yes mam we are very goat friendly here and asked me to go ahead and bring him in. So when I got there she looked at him and explained what she would need to do to save his life for me. I would like to say Thank You so much for doing an EXCELLENT JOB on the surgery of one of my fur babies. She also took time to go over everything that needed to be done and why and explained to me the meds that she was going to use. The entire staff was excellent and very friendly. I'm glad to say that I have found me a new veterinarian for all of my fur babies. Once again I can't THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!!!!

I accidentally called after hours and the vet told me come in anyway because she didn’t want my cat to go without medicine all weekend. It means a lot that she cared about my cat enough to let me in after they closed on a Saturday. I won’t take my pets anywhere else! And the prices are unbeatable!

This place is phenomenal!!! I don't have enough great words to say about Sonya who's the veterinarian. She has changed my lil Izzys life. She's so knowledgeable and very reasonable with her prices!! If you need a vet go check this place out!!! You want be disappointed!!!!
