A nice clean store. Most of the staff seem really unhappy. When you ask for help they seem put out. Update. I've decided these are the worst cashiers on the planet. They are borderline, rude and very unprofessional.Don't go here if you don't have to

This store is always crowded and busy! And to make things worse store management seems to think that restocking shelves in the store is o.k. during daylight business hours. Dealing with disgruntled stockers while trying to maneuver around all their boxes and pallets makes shopping even more difficult!

I am giving it one more store than my last rating. Produce is getting better but still needs work. First time in a while I've gotten produce that literally did not start to mold or be rotten in 2-3 days! Need more newer, updated items, staff has gotten better so idk if they hired/fired or brought in from other stores but whatever they are doing is working! Update* prices are getting outrageous!!! Hard to provide for a family of 4 going here now.

I called Deli asking for prices on the fried chicken pc amount and price. The young man didn't know the information. I tried to explain what I wanted by giving him an example like Publix had a 20pc for $19.99. He told me he didn't know anything about Publix that was Food Lion. He was uninformed and rude.

I posted a one star review of this store a year ago and Yeah for them -it's still one star👎🏼 produce section still does not have a fresh selection. I wanted fresh broccoli and over half of them were yellow. Their selections are pretty bad for being the only store to serve Woodruff. How can a store not have salami? Seriously I went in here since I forgot a few things in Spartanburg and they couldn't come through with 2 items.

EDIT 12-13Managers STILL DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GOVERN FRONT END TRAFFIC! Amazing.. as I see them walk around! None of them are willing to jump on a Register to diffuse traffic???!I worked at FL for 11 years... in higher volume than even this Woodruff Store! I never let the lines back up this way!!!!Lazy Managers here... for Sure! We know who they are.Crazy... they don't get it! I could spend a few days training them with my 23 years of Retail Excellence! I have been complaining to management for over a year about an employee in the meat department that has either not been properly trained or just doesn't care about what she puts on theshelf. This person and management both seem to not care about putting grey and green meat on the shelfs for people to buy. I have shown multiple managers this as recently as today. So far the person that has been pointed to as the source of this issue is still gainfully employed and today I was blown off by a female manager that is clearly more worried about her friendship with the person than solving the problem she was presented with. To the point that she called it and I quote "Fussed at" first thing thing in morning cause I brought the problem to her attention showing her the package of green tainted meat that was on the shelf for sale.Be careful and truly inspect any meat you buy from them. If your not careful you could end up with food poisoning from the meats in this location. My family has been shopping here for 25 years and this only started when a certain person was moved to this department after being removed from the deli for complaints of a similar nature happening there

The selection of items wasn't like other food lions I've visited. A lot of things were missing. Only two employees were at the cash registers. The meats looked of a poor quality and the fruits and vegetables were hardly appealing. But they do have great prices if your a thrifty shopper.

They have outdone themselves. I asked for the cake and they created it perfectly, it's beautiful and they made the cake french fries just to make it extra special. I haven't gotten better service and more kindness in a bakery anywhere ever. Thank you for helping to make his birthday so great!

This food lion will no longer receive my business. This will not be an easy task considering they are the only grocery store left in town but I'd rather bring my business elsewhere. I'm sure it won't make a difference to them but that's fine. Money orders are the only way my behind the times landlord will accept rent. This store's money order machine seems to always be out of service around the first of the month and if it's not out of service their customer service desk isn't open. Either way they've made it impossible to get a money order. Before Bi-lo closed they never seemed to have this problem. I'll be going the next town over for all my grocery shopping and necessities.

This is your only choice in Woodruff. I can't fathom how people go grocery shopping here every month and spend the amount of money it takes to keep your cabinets stocked.That being said, everything else about it is great. Very clean store, just remodeled and the staff is very friendly. It's certainly not their fault that it costs as much as it does. Selection is good. Wine selection is better than it was but not great. They tend to be out of a lot of things because of the supply shortage and being the only big chain grocery store in town.

I’m done with food lion in woodruff. There were over 30 people in line and only 2 cashiers. The shelves are always empty. Yes it’s convenient to my house but at this point I will drive the extra few minutes to another store that actually has it together. It’s not clean, you never see a manager. I wish I could give it negative 10 stars.

The meat dept in this location is great ! I was in the store an wittnessed a custormer who clearly had some personal issues going on complain and cause a scene . They handled it very professional

The only reason I even go to this store is because it’s the only grocery store close to my house, last time I went I swiped my card and the girl on the register was chatting with the “bagger boy” about drama so I had to swipe 3 times and stuff was taken off multiple times, when I approached the bagger boy at the customer service he shrugged his shoulders when I said I needed help and just stared at me. This is the worst grocery store and it’s annoying that it’s the only one in town. I won’t go there unless I have to.

Bi-lo had better options for me being gluten free. It was close to my home and I loved all the gluten free products they had. Food lion keeps getting the stuff that its obvious no gluten free person even touches. They said by June or July they would have better stuff in. It's August now...and nothing gluten free in sight unless its junk food. I miss Bi-lo

Clean and courteous employees. They do have some pretty good sales, but less frequently lately. There are a lot of "buy 2, get 1 free" deals, but if you only need one, not a good deal. BOGO items are half price for one though. Overall, being the only grocery store in this little town, I'm mostly satisfied.

This is a decent place to shop for your groceries. It can be slightly pricey however that seems to be the nature of things everywhere these days. Hard to keep the shelves stocked but it seems like they are putting forth a good effort to do so.

Was better when it had BiLo as competition...but still was not very good. I have four grocery stores surrounding me-- each 6 miles away in different directions. I only go here when I need one or two items quick. All of the other stores are much better but have more traffic.
