The manager is not a nice man his name is Alex, I have been in here a few times over the past couple of months and he is rude, and disrespectful to some of his employees. I heard him yelling at his cashier last week. I didn’t want to go to the cashier after that but I needed my items. The store is a disaster. Someone needs to get a good manager in there ASAP! There is a great lady named Tina she is always polite, helpful and always has a smile on her face. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t step foot in this store again.

For the very first time after moving here over two years ago I went into this store. Most Dollar Stores are the same and have a lot of items. I only went in there for one specific thing. I encountered a very nice female employee who assisted me and was very sweet.After I got the item I was looking for I walked around to see what else the store had and there was a lot. There was a guy in there who was stocking shelves and he wasn't wearing a mask. I immediately turned and went in the opposite direction. I am fully vaccinated but still wear a mask and probably always will.The other two employees I saw were wearing a mask so why not the guy I saw? If masks are required for customers, why not all of the employees?Some of the aisles are narrow and I had to maneuver around a rolling cart which shouldn't have been there. Some aisles had boxes in them which made walking around a bit dangerous. So much stuff in that store.I mean, it's a good thing that the store has a lot of things because this is a very small rural town and many of the stores have closed down making it difficult for a lot of folks. The nearest city isn't near.I do almost all of my non-food shopping online because there is no way I'm going to drive all the way into Columbia.What's amusing to me is that there are three Dollar Store type stores here. Dollar General, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. There is also a store called Rose. I think it's a larger version of a dollar store. I don't understand why there are so many dollar stores here.However, this store carries some of the items I normally buy at the grocery store but for less. From now on I will make myself a list of non-food items and buy them at this store. Things like Cascade dish washer liquid, hand soap, things like that. I will most definitely be avoiding any employees not wearing a mask.

The people at Dollar General yesterday was great very helpful and friendly. There was some customers that came up behind me and was not applying social distance. But the store employees was wonderful. You have a great group. Hope they get a raise and stay happy. This is only the 2nd post I have ever done

I really enjoy chatting with cashiers here and they are friendly. However this place is very unorganized. I probably would go more often if they put it together and keep the shelves stocked. A lot of times they do not have what I need.

Train your folks train your folks train your folks!Work on your in stock positionPeople were wonderful but they had no clue on what I needed to do and it was merchandise in your store. Could not get it sold could not get it wrong and I know $100 plus sale is a rare thing at a Dollar general... For single item that is so I had to pass and go down the road and get it somewhere else.... I will return but they are sweet and very untrained people working that store every time I go wonderful people but really really unknowledgeable in the products

Dollar general is a reasonable place to buy many products especially your cleaning products and you can pick up some bread and little food items I've never had a problem and the staff is really nice when you come in the door most of the time I haven't had any problems.

It's a quick easy place to grab what you need and the cashier named Kristen has always been very polite and courteous and helpful to help me find what I need.*update...3 stars.....still have 2 cashiers that are good...miss Kristin tho, isles are full of boxes and shelves are empty...no one is stocking!!??

Hey it's Dollar General...most are messy and understaffed..hard to get out of because of the too frequent checkstand traffic jams... personally I rarely visit them but I had to get a rare something... a new manager was ordering and one of his customers was overheard saying that the store looks a lot better... so I'll give them a three star for now.. maybe things are looking up, and some of the half filled counters will be full again!!

I was shocked when I walked in! The store has all kinds of stuff, although I haven't been to Dollar General often before. Also, it seemed clean and orderly! Friendly cashier when I went.Thank you

Old DG and not stocked very well, but had most of the knick-knacks I needed. The saving grace of this one is the person working there. She was attentive, polite and helpful.

I thought the new store would be better. Wrong!! They are always out of stock on some items. I visited on yesterday and I saw one cashier on register and a very long line. Another cashier was standing behind the register, so I asked her was she opening up the register? There's not many places in Winnsboro to shop. You have to check prices. The sticker on shelves have one price and when you get to the register they charge you another price. I call them out on it though. I let the cashier know your sticker says this price.

A bit upset with the staff for closing more than ten minutes early and trying to ignore me pleading at the door while proceeding to check out the employees, looking at me, and then the time, while it was still before ten and then turning off the register. I shouldve spent my time going somewhere that wouldve actually helped

Store was dirty and had a bad odor. Stock was in total disarray with many items out of place or in the floor. Only one clerk working on a busy Saturday afternoon/evening.

It's okay but there is always stock left in the isle's and you have to take extra time because you're having to look around all of it and they sometimes let the line get to long without opening the 2nd register.

I have been there a few times and each time the place was nasty.... Employees very nice, but as u c with the pics I posted it was very hard to walk around, I took these pics the 3rd and last time I went to this dollar general...

Laziest dollar General workers in the country. Half the store inventory is always boxed up in the center isle. 85% of employees are on break constantly. Store is dirty.

I do not like dollar general. There is always large package carts in front of the pet stuff. The employees are not always very friendly either.
