Excellent market, especially for a small town. We were camping nearby and needed to restock a few items. The Barnwell Wal-Mart is not so great. Glad we ventured into Schumpert’s. Excellent ground beef, coarse enough to make burgers. We like English muffins instead of buns and found some in the dairy cooler. Surprisingly good but small wine selection.

We had heard the meat department was very good and we heard right!! Whole pork loin for $1.99/lb. is a great deal! The meat and produce is fresh and well presented. The aisles are a good size, well stocked, and clearly priced. The people were very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!Update: we're regulars at Schumpert's! I got a terrific deal on beef and chicken this morning! We check in here weekly!

Was welcomed as I walked in. Everything looked neat, clean and tidy. Can find everything I need. Hate having to jump store to store, but not here for the basics and then some. Staff is fun.

Good customer service and great selection on produce. Place very clean and organized. I love going to the deli and getting myself sandwich pepperoni and cheese which are always priced right. During Thanksgiving time I talked with head butcher about Turdukhen and within a week they came in by surprise. To even better my shopping there the butcher later had one left and he set it aside and I now have it in my freezer. So keep up the great work all your employees do to make my shopping experience so much fun

Very helpful and respectful employees , prices are a bit high but it's getting like that everywhere, great hot food in deli , meat depth is nice, produce is a bit poor for the prices but most of it is good, but pricy , love the atmosphere clean store.

Growing up here in the 90's it was known as Piggly Wiggly. It Being a small town grocery store it stocks everything you need. I grew up on RogerWood sausages and I can't find them in Indiana; where I reside. When I come home I stock up.

Overall I'm very happy to shop there as it's very convenient for me. Actually shop there 3-4 times a week. However I do have some issues with number of items being expired and still on the shelves for sale. Wish they did a better job of removing expired or bad items. You have to look closely at labels when you ship there.

I found zero deals, more modern and cleaner than across the street, but at.a huge price..I likely wont go back.. they had like 2 or 3 customer. Ars in the parking lot vs a Ross the street like 30... cleanliness is t everything, but nice try

Made a pit stop into Schumpert’s on my way to Augusta from Charleston. Such a cute and quaint little store... staff was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. Not to mention the affordable prices. I love the small town vibe I got when I walked into the door. Will be back on future road trips.

Local mom/pop grocery with a very good selection of foods and products most local "chain" grocery stores won't even stock. Good variety, friendly/helpful employees, actually has carts you can use to shop with (versus the local "Walton" store)

This store is always bright and clean. The staff goes above and beyond to help their customers. The meat department as fresh meat and the butchers will cut your meat anyway you ask. Their produce section is always fresh.

Very nice employees travel out of my way to get the smoked food. Prices are not bad even if they were more its worth having pleasant people help you and I am supporting local company and local people.

Great little family friendly environment to do all your grocery shopping with excellent staff and low prices. Our daughter loves to go here because of how friendly the staff is and they have a bench in the front with a Bible she can go sit and read.

Great local grocery. Sell fresh from garden veggies. Meat prices are decent and usually have a good selection. Also cook and grill food you can buy. Bbq is great.

Great little neighborhood market. Walk in the smell of smoked meats from their little deli, gotta love it. Staff is always nice and super helpful and the butchers in the back are on it.

The store is small enough to do a good shopping in 15 minutes but big enough so there's a good inventory. I've found items (in produce) not seen in big stores.I especiallu recommend canned goods and produce.

I was standing looking at their meat and happened to look up into the meat department to see a worker walking in with no beard guard and a soda in his hand. He placed the soda on a shelf and continued walking through. Upon further inspection, there were open vanilla oreo cookies with an open bottle of water beside it on the same table where they cut their meat. Then on a dirty cutting block, stained red there was a pack of chicken, pork, and beef all on the same block, thus creating cross contamination. I dont know about you but this could make a lot of people very sick, very quickly. Would not recommend purchasing meat unless this situation is taken care of immediately. And to think i was only looking through the window.

Love this store! They have cool, vintage sodas and candy and they carry bushel oysters when in season. The staff is wonderful!
