I had the best experience here the other day. I went in looking for a specific item for my daughter's birthday. The sweet woman behind the counter came and helped me locate it. It really made my day and I was able to get my daughter exactly what she wanted for her birthday. Not to many places you go anymore than people really care to help you. So, thank you very much to that kind person. It meant a lot to me and I even told my daughter about you, and she was thankful as well. ❤️

There's not a lot of home improvement places or hardware stores in Williamston. So, I'm glad ACE is here. They have an ICEE machine ( .99 cents ) red or blue. They have lawn care items, potting goods, and hardware in the back. I enjoy all the unique items they have at the register. I bought a SOG Q2 multi tool there and my Husband loves and uses it everyday! It's always clean and organized and the staff is very attentive and helpful.They have outdoor mulch, and cute little gifts and a corner full of Simply Southern collection.

This location lives up to the brand name and quality of service. They are fully stocked with their supplies and friendly staff guide you to the pieces you're looking for. After my initial purchase, I realized I had picked up the wrong part and had to return it. The return went smoothly and quickly and the employee was friendly throughout the process.I highly recommend this store for your hardware needs.

The staff were all occupied when I was in the store, so I ended up wandering around when trying to find filter sand. Not a big deal. The prices are higher here, but they were the only place I could find filter sand within 100 miles of me.The store was well kept. No real complaints honestly.

I love this store but the last few times buying plants the cashier didn't know the price and had to go outside to get it and it held others up in line. On my last visit, I was going to buy a succulent and ended up putting it back and walked out because the line was so long and slow. (I normally would've waited though but I was under a time constraint) Other then that they are very helpful and l love the new store.

It is so handy to have a local hardware store. No they don't always have everything you need and no they don't buy in bulk like the big box stores but it is close and convenient and has been there for my lifetime and I hope it stays around. They also donate so much to the community. I would really hate to loose this little gem in a sweet little town.

Great service in the plumbing department, employee David was very helpful and informative!Everyone was masked, which is always appreciated! There were a couple customers grumbling about having to wear a mask (and about their personal political beliefs) but the staff handled them professionally (and with more courtesy than I would have been able to muster, honestly).Lots of interesting products and fun stuff to look at, which kept my 6 year old and her friends busy while I was getting my questions answered.We will be back!

Overall the convenience and service provided by the store is good, however, I do have an issue with prices. I needed Simpson strong tie pieces today so I looked up the item online and it was $3.99 on the Ace website and $3.28 at a big box store. For convenience (and to save $5 in gas) I decided to go to Ace, but ended up paying $4.59 each (40% more than the big box store price). I decided to do a small survey so picked 9 items at random and on average, the Ace prices were 17% higher than the big box store (ranged from -2% (Ace lower on one item) to 40% over the 9 items). I realize small family owned stores can't compete with the huge big box stores purely on pricing, but a 17% premium is a bit too much, at least in my opinion. If they could close the gap to about 5%, then I'd probably be fine doing all my shopping at Ace. I may do a larger sample comparison at some point, just in case I was unlucky on the 9 items I selected, but meanwhile, I'll be checking pricing ahead of time to make sure I won't be paying more at Ace than the cost of gas to go to the big box store. I encourage Ace to do a similar analysis and try to close the pricing gap as much as they are able, while at the same time maintaining reasonable margins.

I had made a purchase at the Ace Hardware in Anderson- and wanted to return it. This location refused to refund my unopened item with a receipt because they are “privately owned”. It was not a large item (literally $30). The Ace website mentions nothing about returning items to the specific location you purchased an item from. Their prices are higher than a big box store- which would be fine if they were actually helpful. This is not the first time I have had issues with customer service from this location- but it will be the last. This Ace should change their slogan to the “not so helpful place”.

Customer service in our local store is superb, but the online customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They are not customer oriented and are not helpful.We were offered a15% discount for placing our order online and picking it up in the store as well as a $15 off a $100 purchase. We placed the items in and our "cart" online and then proceeded to check out and the offer disappeared. We contacted customer service and they said they couldn't find the coupons and offered no discount to us.They made what should have been an easy thing very difficult and disappointing.

I spoke to the owner Mike and he was so helpful and informative, and went over and above to help his employees while they were busy and helped me with an issue I was having with my furniture. He helped me solve the problem over the phone, and then when I went into the store, the young lady that assisted me gave the same politeness and helpfulness and upbeat attitude as I received earlier on the phone from the owner. Wonderful store, helpful staff. A very friendly atmosphere!!

Usually I have a good visit but recently I learned 2 things. Don't ask for a price check because you'll be told to go wait in line to find out for yourself and don't have to pee cause their bathroom is only for employees. Bad customer service

They told me my 7 year old child was not allowed in the store that he had to stand outside? There's no laws that tell me my child is not allowed to go to places. So ace decides that anyone 16 and younger is not allowed in there store but someone that is older 70+ that is more at risk is perfectly fine to go in. I will never go back to this place again and I'm am going to continue to spread this word as far as I can! Place is pathetic
