Still I would like to add that possibly this store would have been open on Kuanzaa if there were a few more employees of other racial backgrounds .

This store is the pits. I went in there on September 2 and bought sodas and beer and two bottles of Milo extra sweet tea. When I got to the registry everything I wanted was a different price. I opened one of the teas took a sip and spit it half way cross the room. It had expired July 29. Almost two months on the shelf or in the back room. I am not every shopping in there again.

My son went in TEN minutes before closing to buy a couple of sodas and was immediately told that he had 3 minutes by one clerk and the other kept saying "right, right". He knew it was TEN minutes until closing time and they made him feel like he was imposing on them by being there. I understand if they want to get out at a reasonable time, but when you work retail, you don't count down until on the hour or after the last customer. It is ok to make an announcement about the time but you need to be professional about it and not greet a customer at the door this way--and he technically had TEN minutes. I appreciate that people are showing up to work these days but there's a right way to talk to people and a wrong way.

I has a wonderful experience at this location today. Manager and staff were assisting checking out customers and getting stock in the store and on the shelves so customers could purchase what they needed. I am back in couponing and everyone including management was kind, patient, friendly and helpful. Whether you have done the job or not easy to get on here and be a hater. No one was on a break when I was there, everyone including management were working. Let’s see some making comments go put out all the products these ladies had to unpack and still checkout customers. Hats off to Miss Sandy and her staff.

This place is decent but they rarely update the price changes so you end up spending more than expected. Wish they would just update the prices on the tags.

Needs friendlier service and CLEANING . STOCK WAS ALL OVER PLACE. Can't keep help. Had some good help and lost them. Maybe they need a better general manager to hire correct people. I've worked at one and it never looked this way and stock was off floor the day it came in. All I see is ppl smoking out front and you always have to wait for service. Can't get down most isles bc if stock and Biggie's left on floor blocking isle access.

The store is always cluttered and messy but it's because of the District and General managers. They don't listen to the staff at the store or help them. DG needs to revamp their managers and start paying attention to what staff has to say. The staff at this store is great and they try hard.

Great variety of merchandise. Anything from food to maintenance to make-up. This particular store had very friendly staff helping you with locating and pricing hard to find items. Great conversation. Love this store. ♥️

Since new managment, store looks better, cleaner.Managment is always helpful as well as employees! Boxes are still on floor but these ladies work hard to do everything they need to do. Ppl, there's much more to getting a store ready for customers! If noone is on the floor she is probably working in the office possible taking a short break. They have been working 12 hrs a day to get the store ready for the big move. As for crowding, well six feet people! The is Vonda Dilleshaw not Eva Kidd. I am always treated well and sometimes they even go and get stuff from the boxes. You have to remember ppl often quit at this type of store which leaves these ladies to double up on time. Without them working everyday during this Covid-19 what would you do? They are trying hard! While some of you have had a great visit, keep in mind they have an overload of stock coming when they don't always know the truck I cming COVID-19! They're tired also!

For the longest time it was horrible in there. There was inventory all over the place causing a fall hazard and the worst was leaving teenage girls alone running the store after dark to close. I can happily say the store looks great and I've not been in that ANYONE was left alone. Koodoos to you and you staff Dollar General !!!!

Aisles are always crowded with carts of unshelved merchandise. You can't get to the items you want. Some employees are standing outside smoking or talking on their cell phones instead of stocking or helping to check people out. The Whitmire location needs a good manager.

New management was extremely rude .. And insisted on giving me a lecture on how she has a life, due to the fact that I got there at 9:47pm and the doors were locked . and the store closes at 10pm. She cursed me and called me trash after I got out of the store as she was closing the doors. Very unsatisfied and would have liked to report her.

The employees work hard but the store is always a mess. The District Manager is useless and doesn't help them thin their stock out. They are always having issues and the customers get mad at the employees but it's not always their fault. Dollar General needs a huge overhaul. They need to get new managers, District, General and some Store Managers need to be replaced.

Noticed that the appearance has improved in the passed 2 weeks. There is not as much stock sitting in the isles. Hope they continue to improve. Lucy is always very helpful.

Too much juck in the isles in the DG at the Whitmire, SC location and it's too HHHOOOTTT in there. I just might be safer and cooler climbing into their freezer. 🤔🤦‍♂️ DG needs to make that store bigger cause those carts in the store are a real hazard to everyone's safety... 🤷‍♂️

Too long of line with only one register open... She was working as fast as she could and called for help and the other girl that said she would help loligagged and slowly took her timeBy the time she did arrive the one girl had almost caught the line up by herself and the slow one smirked and laughed when trying to apologize... Totally needed to be fired

It was chaotic. Stock was all over the place. Store was nasty. Half filled bottles in drink coolers. Workers were talking about each other and blaming.

They stopped selling Southeastern Mills gravy mix again!!! When they did sell it, they would put it on the bottom shelf and away from the other gravies and the breakfast foods!!!! They don't need any star!!!!!
