This is my favorite store for local hardware and I like my 2 little friends in the store they make every visit a fun and pleasant happy experience.They have a good selection and good prices here and the employees are always friendly and helpful here.And the 2 little helpers in the store are the best part!

Honestly, if they don't have it, I don't need it! Largest selection of Rust-Oleum spray paint in stock I've ever seen, including hard to find specialty paints like frosted and matte spray sealer. I picked up an online order and did some additional in-store shopping. Pics of my purchases include cinder blocks, shephard's hook for hummingbird feeders, clamps, spray paint, pickling spices, galvanized bucket, coffee mugs, scrapper sponges, mason jars with fairy lights, patriotic decor, coasters, home decor on clearance, etc. Always check here before heading to big box stores. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful staff both man and female. Competitive prices. If you can't find it in-store, you can order online and pick up in-store or have it shipped to store if they don't have it in stock. Felt comfortable shopping here as a female on my own.

I do not recommend home delivery with them! They brought my great grandmother Pine straw and the deliverer, (Jacob/Jake) was very rude and unprofessional! He parked across the street and threw the bales out the side of his truck and walked them across the road and went back and forth dropping half of the bales. Given it was windy, every bale he dropped split in half and got scattered all over the yard, road, and ditch. We asked Jacob/Jake multiple times to pull into the driveway he told us it was “policy” that he couldn’t the first time my great grandmother asked him to he said “ma'am don’t talk to me”. He even kicked some of the pieces that fell!! I called the store and talked to the manager (Steven) regarding that “policy”, and he called Jake/Jacob and Jake/Jacob told Steven that “he couldn’t pull into the driveway without getting in the yard because it was narrow” WE HAVE A FENCE AROUND THE YARD, and driveway on most of the yard!! Anyways Steven came and brought us 2 more bales of pine needle and then kept making excuses on Jake/Jacobs behavior and unprofessionalism! When I told Steven about the remark Jacob/Jake said about “maam don’t talk to me” he looked at my great grandmother and said “did he really” and my great grandmother just looked at him and gave him a look and he said “that doesn’t sound like something Jake would say”.Your employees and managers need to do better!! We won’t be receiving no more “home deliveries” or even store products from this Ace Hardware no more!

If you Truly want to see a Country Store then come to Ace Hardware. If you go to this store to just look around then remember someone told you that you'll end up buying stuff.Great place to shop and Staff are Helpful & Friendly.Oh! By the way.....Don't Forget to Pet the Cat on your way out.

I went everywhere to get a key copy for my 2 padlock ,for my last resort I said let me try ace hardware so I went with a minute the guy did 3 keys for a different locks sure it's was so perfect that I don't have to come back again, so pleased and happy

I come here multiple times a week getting odds and ends for my shop nearby. They are always well stocked on almost any kind of hardware or plumbing pieces you need. Steve the owner is great as well, you tell him what you're trying to do and he'll take the time to help figure it out and put it together.

Love this Ace hardware in Lyman, SC. They have a variety of different things. Have cats hanging out to greet you. Very knowledgeable about everything they stock. Very friendly.

I received a factory recall repair for my E GO Hedge trimmer and advised to take it to Johnson Ace Hardware. I arrived and Owner ( Steve Stroup) required me to leave a $30.00 refundable fee after repair completion. After factory recall repair Mr. Stroup refused to return deposit and told it was an "Administrative Fee' and did not return my $30.00. I complained to E GO Headquarters and they returned my $30.00 , stating the deposit was wrong and the returned my deposit. I also filled a complaint with Ace Headquarters which they accepted (#5995627). Mr. Stroup treated me very unfairly and rude for just a $30.00 returnable fee, which was promised by his store once repairs recall were completed. I USE TO BE A CUSTOMER THERE.Wayne WallaceOwner of this Ace Store (Mr. Stroup) is not truthful. I was told that my recall deposit, that he added, would be returned once factory recall was completed, his associates even told me so. Mr. Stroup reneged on that promise. He denies this, not truthful. Factory recalls of his products should never be a charge to the customer. The factory agreeded with me and they returned the deposit as a courtesy to their customer. Think about it, the factory paid ACE for their recall. How shameful Mr. Stroup.MAY GOD BE WITH YOU "Mr. Stroup" ...

I was so overwhelmed with the hospitality of everyone that works there. Very warm welcoming environment. I had the hardest time finding the right screw I needed and had to come back several times to get the right one, but the staff was so patient and understanding and helped me with everything. They even allowed me to borrow the tool I needed on good faith to return it. I am so grateful. I just moved to the area and I need to put my dining room table together before my housewarming the next day and they helped make that day a great day for me. I was able to return the tool the next day and I would definitely recommend this store!

This is a great store with a good selection of everything and some of the friendliest and most helpful staff.Alot of stores not just an Ace you can never seem to find help when you need it but that isn't the case here and they have some of the best service possible. And I like the 2 furry helpers in there too! Makes all the more reason to go there.

I'm rating 2 stars mainly because they allow a cat to roam freely through the store and hop up on the pay counter, where customers have to touch. I am highly allergic to cats, due to having asthma, and there is no sign on the door letting customers know that there is a cat in the store. I suggested that they make such a sign. If you are allergic to cats, shop elsewhere.

For the past couple of days, I’d been having the worst time trying to find a solution to our broken shower stem, which turned out to be a difficult model to recognize and track down. I went to several hardware/home improvement stores and no one seemed to be able to help, but at this Ace Hardware store, Jeremy not only helped me with what was beginning to seem like a hopeless endeavor, but he patiently walked me through everything I needed I needed to know, and I wanted to leave a review as a shout out to him for being such excellent help!

We love this place. They always have whatever you need. It's nice that a neighborhood small business is doing well. Only because they are doing all the right things. The associates are helpful and very pleasant. They even have a nice gift area to keep someone busy while someone else enjoys the toys, I mean tools. :) We will return.

Great staff,clean & well stocked store. Larger & alot more friendlier staff than the one in Boiling Springs not to Mention they're up-to-date with making keys, my Transporter key was about to break so I ordered a couple off line Johnsons Ace didn't hesitate nor get a attitude Jason got right on it & I'm so thankful because I have health Issue so I don't like to be around a lot of public to take that chance even though I've been vaccinated i don't like to take that chance.Thank You guys very muchAngel

Family business, Friendly and helpful. Once I needed a piece of wood to use as a lever for a repair, and one of the guys went out back and gave me a real good piece of wood for free from their pallet scrap. They now also make and program car keys. Will give that a try next time I need duplicates.

Not much to say other than FIVE STARS FOR THIS PLACE, but of course I'm going to say something anyways. We live very close to this store so my Father and I visit here almost every day. The staff is always friendly, they know where things are located in the store so if you need help they know exactly where to take you for what your looking for, if you call looking for something they are still the same, very helpful and can tell you if they have something your looking for or not. The store has just about everything you'd need from a convenient hardware store, it's always clean, usually your in and out pretty fast unless they are short handed that day. I have no complaints about this place. I go their often and will continue to do so. Highly recommend this store. Great people great product selection and great location, especially for me. A+ staff at this store. Can't say it enough. They are always friendly and they recognize faces and greet their customers every time.

I went in looking for a tray with a low lid. My cats are elderly and have some hip arthritis that's making regular litter boxes challenging. The staff was amazing. They helped me look at several options, and were able to modify a regular litter box for easy entry. As you can see, he's already excited to walk into it 😂

Nice store, but do not go if you do not like cats ,they run loose in the store. I could not get my paint tinted. Lady was too busy eating pizza behind the paint counter. And had an attitude.

Great store. Great staff. Great service. If you want an easy in and out trip, or if you like friendly service with a small town feel, then this is the place to go. I always prefer this place over Lowe's or Home Depot. It's so much easier and more enjoyable to go to Johnson's Ace Hardware. Highly recommended.

Very pleased with purchases. Manager walked me through store helping me find everything I needed. Much easier than battling a huge store. They had everything I needed and although prices may have been a little higher on a few things, it averaged out. Time I saved and personal attention was worth it all.
