Great stay for a last minute trip. Employees were very friendly and even called to confirm our reservation. The room we stayed in needed an update to the update, but was still decent. The tub does need to be updated or cleaned better, the beds are okay but may be just fine for others. The king bed only came with 3 pillows, but we just stayed for 2 nights and so I didn't bother to ask for another. The fridge was very cold which was nice for drinks. The sheets were clean and didn't have any issues with bugs. As a budget motel, we would stay here again.

We had never stayed at a Motel 6 before but this one was at the right location and had great reviews (and was half the price of nearby motels), so we decided to give it a try. Pleasantly surprised. Rooms had been recently redone. Small but clean. Mattress was satisfactory. Very quiet. Parking outside our door. A comfortable no-frills place to rest up for another day on the road. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights and honestly it’s on our top five best hotel stays. Staff was attentive and kind, room was clean and odor free, and beds were super comfortable. We had a problem with the door lock in our first room and they moved us right next door (so we didn’t have to lug our stuff to a completely different area) immediately. Super happy with the service!! Especially after a horror stay at Red Roof up the road. Thank you!!

I have always been turned off by Motels period. We were looking for an affordable place to spend the night and came across this gem. It had really great reviews so we decided to give it a try. We checked in still with hesitation, but the room exceeded my expectations. Clean room, bathroom, and beds. Very comfortable stay. Conveniently off of 95 corridor.

It's a quiet space with bare floors (no carpeting) that you can take your pets to at no additional cost.I would stay here again. The only issue we had was there were not a lot of power outlets in the room and only one lonely nightstand so it was hard charge all our electronic devices.

Edited after checking receipt!Upon check in, she had me insert my card. Then said...ok, everything is done. I asked why I didn't have to sign or enter a pin #. I was told their system did not require it. NO...SHE SIGNED IT FOR ME! BEWARE! BE WARNED! CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!Pros...location. Price. No pet fee. Clean linens. No bedbugs or cockroaches. Parking lot is well lit. Everyone was friendly.Cons... room was not clean...specifically bathroom, doors, and floors. Gap is so big under the front door that dirt and sand was everywhere. Swept it out and put extra blanket in front of door. We travel with gloves and cleaning supplies otherwise we would not have stayed. We were a walk in, so, in defense of the housekeeper, they didn't have time to check it or freshen it. Not sure if we would stay again.

This motel 6 is really nice. The rooms are pretty utilitarian but obviously recently redecorated with new flooring and furniture, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean, and the location is just off route 95 so it's easy on easy off. Even the parking lot was spotless! There are also gas stations, a small food mart and restaurants nearby. I am a woman and travel alone, so I am careful where I stay. I felt very safe. I plan to stay here every time I'm going north or south for the seasons.

I have stayed here 4 times. It is my go to when driving from Maryland to Florida. It is inexpensive and pet friendly. They don't charge extra for dogs. The rooms are very clean, beds comfortable and I feel safe here as a women traveling alone. There is a grass area for dogs to use the bathroom that is close to the rooms. I will continue to stay here anytime I am traveling back and forth.Rooms: Very cleanSafety: Feel very safe as a women traveling alone.Noteworthy details: Staff is friendly.

Robbed blind at this hotel. The two guys working at reception in cahoots with another guy outside who I asked to help me get a charger for my uk phone adaptor. Took my money, and then went into a room. The guys behind the counter I asked them to call 911 and they said no. That they will get charged if they do! Total fix up, robbing tourists. I have photos of them and will be sending to Atlanta PD. The hotel smelt like a drug den. Stay clear!

I stay at Walterboro several times a year going back and forth between Florida and Virginia. For several years I had been staying at another hotel at the same exit off of 95 (the Microtel) but the last time they tried to raise the pet fee based on my dog's weight (even though I'd stayed there at least 20 times with my dog who is well behaved without incident) and charged me $150 for one night. And there had been some problems on recent visits. I had enough! That is no way to value your customers! So I started looking and the reviews for this Motel 6 at the same exit were good, so last month we tried it. Tonight we are back for another stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, I love that they have hard floors (so much better when they allow pets than carpet), there is no pet fee, the bed is good, and they have a nice sized refrigerator, microwave and table with two chairs in the room. Another big plus is that there is a huge grassy front yard to walk your dog. The front office people are very nice. For less than half the cost of the other place it's well worth it. The other surprise was that the place has been quiet on both visits. So now this is our new stopping point on our trips back and forth. I've never stayed at a Motel 6 so I don't know if this place is an outlier, but, it's definitely a good value. A few tips - they provide soap and shampoo but bring your own tissues if you need some. You can get a decent complimentary cup of coffee in the hotel lobby in the morning.

This place had an 8.8 rating on Expedia. I don't see how. Very dated. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. Found a bug in the bed. Bug in the shower. The floor was not clean. We hated every aspect of this property.Safety: One of the locks on the door was broken.

I give this a 5 star for a lower end motel but it probably was among the nicer hotels that allow well behaved pets for a fair price we have ever been to.The gentleman at the front was nice and welcoming, which typically isn’t the case with dogs. The cleaning staff was around in the am when we were leaving and they were pleasant and nice. It’s on an off road so we weren’t concerned about safety and I was very pleased with this stay. We will stay here again if in the area for sure.

By far the best motel along 95 we have ever stayed at. It's nicely renovated and flawlessly clean, something that is not always the case with places that allow dogs. We stayed in a king room with our dog - the bed was huge and comfy. The AC was super powerful and made the room very cold, so you might want to be careful with that, but otherwise, everything was great. Probably the best place to get a few hours of sleep for cheap while on the road.

Clean, family run operation. The family keeps a close watch on the goings on and clearly is careful. The rooms were spotless. The area t walk the dogs are huge. There is a convenience store within walking distance for anything you might need. This is an update to my last review- the Motel is much improved - cleaner - making great efforts at being in the hospitality industry-Safe as always- very quiet- great place for the overnight

I was so surprised at how nice this was! The area was very safe and well-lit just off the interstate. It's surrounded by other hotels. Very very clean. The owners have their priorities in order and care about their reputation, unlike most low-rate motels. My dog stayed free. The rooms were nice. I loved the hardwood floors (I hate carpets). This is a great option for an overnight or a few nights' stay with a couple of people, or travelers with pets. DID I MENTION MY DOG STAYED FREE?!

Great price, no dog fee, no carpet and location are all the positives. Sadly the room wasn't terribly clean. The curtain had a bunch of big black smudges. Furniture is tired. Gaps in the door where things could crawl in... Television was purple.I called and someone came to inform me it was because of the weather. It has rained. The TV was not working properly and they were on analog service, meaning no HD. It wasn't watchable. Drop ceilings are kinda gross especially in the bathroom. No coffee pot, no tissues. The floors are peel and stick linoleum wood look. Poorly installed though. You could hear and feel the springs in the beds plus the sheets barely fit. I tried to adjust it but then saw the mattress cover that was starting to shred! Overall it was a place to put heads as finding decent lodging with a dog is nearly impossible. I would stay there again if I had to.Safety: Felt safe
