Sitting at the end of Wadmala, it’s a way away. But the drive just makes me feel like I’m in an old world every time. Shrimps are fresh and good guys working hard there. Will definitely make a trip back when I need more local shrimps. The road in is sandy so bring your 4 wheel drive or higher car in case it’s wet with storm season coming.

Can't get any fresher than this! 🦐They have special pricing for head-on shrimp. Bubba: "...shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried."

Not many places in Charleston where you drive up to the shrimp boat being unloaded and straight into your cooler and home on the grill the same day. Wha!! And a beautiful zen like calming drive to the end of Wadmalaw Island.

Being from SC I grew up wanting and eating local fresh SC seafood. We would drive as a family 2 hours to buy Rockville shrimp. Now, living in Charleston, I only have to drive 45 minutes.This company has some of the best shrimp and seafood you can buy. It is all reasonably priced, local, and fresh. They not only sell to individuals, but to local business and restaurants (such as Hymans).Bring your own cooler. Drive out to the pier. Look at the shrimp boats. Walk out and tell these fine southern folks how much, type, and size shrimp you want. (such as we just got 5 lbs, headed jumbo shrimp for around 50 dollars).At home we grilled those suckers. This is by far the best and only place I buy my seafood. Maybe I am spoiled, but I just think I have good taste! Take the chance. Show up with your cooler. You won't be dissapponted.

Went to purchase seafood there mid February. I bought 10 pounds of what I thought was fresh shrimp only to get home to Virginia and find out that the shrimp I purchase was farm raised.one livid customer!

I have come here for years to buy shrimp. Unfortunately Ollie was busy at the moment but the guy helping me out was extremely nice and well worth the price! Fresh trump's frozen everytime. Normal price frozen is about even. Careful on the road down there as a heads up very bumpy and hard sand.

Best shrimp around! Mr. Green is a southern gentleman and his dog Trouble is a sweet heart. Our shrimp were huge, sweet and fresh from that morning. Highly recommend. It's a long narrow lane out there.

My parents lived on Kiawah from 1986 to 2007 and I've been going to Cherry Point for shrimp for years. Its well worth the drive. Call ahead and see what is fresh.I was joking with them one a trip over there and asked if they would deliver the shrimp across Bohicket creek to the marina and they told me they would," just call ahead and ask" they said.Stop at the Charleston Tea Plantation on your way there and make it an outing. Bring a cooler to put your purchase in.

Note that this is not a restraunt. This is a shrimp boat dock. We go here every year to buy fresh caught shrimp that's just been offloaded from the boat. Take a cooler and get ten pounds. They will top it off with ice. Primarily they are a commercial operation so be patient. They take credit cards. It was $100 for ten pounds, heads off large shrimp this year. 2018.

My wife and I visit friends on Wadmalaw every year in the fall for a low country boil yard party. Every year after the party before I leave I swing by Cherry Point Seafood and pick up a cooler full of shrimp to bring home to Tennessee. They've always treated me right and the only way you can get fresher shrimp is to go catch them yourself!

We have visited Seabrook Island near Kiawah for 30 years now and found the best fresh shrimp you've ever eaten right off the boats at Cherry Point Seafood. It's worth the ride if you really want good shrimp. Yummy!!!! Oh - it is a working dock so it's not pretty but I find it interesting every time we visit.

Cherry Point Seafood is a wonderful family owned seafood company located on Wadmalaw Island near Charleston, SC. They have fresh shrimp right off the boat caught by some of the best Commercial Fishermen around. Fresh local seafood is nearly impossible to find so when I do I like to sing praises. Cherry Point gets 2 thumbs up from me. #owensstrong

I can't believe no one has contacted the family of Daniel "Buddha" Rios. He passed away on Sea Angel Aug 30th. Looking at all reviews of Co.,everyone praises the company how about the men and woman working for you. So its more important to make $$$$. Sea Angel is back on water, while Buddha's family is devastated. Just a phone call would make difference for his grieving mother Sina Zubia.
