Customer service inside of the store was good. Someone assisted me and told me exactly what I needed. I paid for products easily. But when I drove around the back to load my items, my experience became a nightmare. First, when I drove up, two gentlemen were sitting in chairs smoking cigarettes. I gave my receipt to one, and he walked over to the location and gave me my three items. While loading, I noticed one was different. I walked back to the gentlemen, smoking cigarettes again. He told me they came out of the same box. The other gentleman began assisting me and said it was different manufacturers. I asked if I could get another one to match. He gave me another one, but it matched the single one I had. Now I have 4 items 2 pairs of each. I again requested to get 3 of the same product. He said it came out of the same box. I again asked to please get 3 that matches. He said you have 4. I tried to explain that there weren't 3 of the same from what he gave me. Unfortunately, I became a very unhappy customer and asked him why he couldn't just give me 3 that were the same. He again said, "Why does it matter. They all came out of the same box. I went to the box and pulled another one out, and matched it to one of the pairs. I returned the other 2 to the location. Again, unfortunately, I lost my cool and said things I shouldn't have. Gentlemen did tell me to have a nice day as he walked back to his chair and lit another cigarette.

I just happened to pull over in Wally's parking lot & decided to go inside because I'm frm Sumter and I've never been in there. & I actually remembered to check & see if they had a part I've been lookin for a while, that Nissan nor any auto part store here had or was even knowledgeable about. Not only did they have exactly what I needed, but their employee put it on for me. The store is waaay bigger than what it seems to be from the outside. Their staff was very helpful & friendly. I also noticed how they interacted & spoke with obviously regular customers ...like family, I'd say. ☺️ It was nice to actually be helped & not being "helped" because really I'm being watched👀 Like how I some other small hardware stores in town do😒Thank u.Being personable isn't too common nowadays.Check them out, they may have that big nut you need! 😂 (not my purchase) 😁

This hardware store is definitely worth the drive from the Columbia area! They literally have everything you could imagine, tons of RV/camper items at fantastic prices, and the friendliest staff. Love how there are a bunch of different sectioned off areas to browse around an find things you didn't even know you needed. Will definitely be going back!

The store truly has everything and the prices are great! Customer service is very responsive and helpful. Was able to find exactly what I needed very quickly and easily. Parking is pretty good as well. Not a lot of parking but what there is is right in front of the doors. Store is too packed with stuff to knkw everything in it but if you do need something go to Wally's FIRST!

I was assisted in the electrical department by a most rude salesman with very little knowledge of what I needed. After about 10 minutes of failing to help me, he told me that "he was just wasting his time and there were other customers he should be helping." He finally got another salesperson to assist me and at last, I received the help I was there for. I never felt so belittled in my life. He made me feel like I wasn't important at all, my money is just as good as the next customers. The prices are way too high. The staff really is not that friendly. I won't be returning and advise others to consider doing business elsewhere.

Great little store. Helpful store employees too. Needed some special things for a mobile home. Had everything except a tub drain with a backing nut. The store employee helped me change from poly-b tubing to plex tubing for a toilet connection. One thing they don't carry is insulation. I would go here first to see if they got it.

Always have liked wally's.. got everything you need.. went there Saturday 4/24/21 a couple days ago.. I can't remember the boys name, but he was so helpful.Well mannered fellow .. give him credit please.. my name is John Blackmon.. he helped get everything I needed. I noticed salespeople not wearing masks the last few visits. When I asked about this was told Wally's is in county, city guidance does not apply. Didn't sound right to me so I checked with city planning and they confirmed Wally's falls under county jurisdiction. I am disappointed with the no mask attitude. COVID is in Sumter, can't see it, can't smell it, don't know where it is. Everyone needs to do their part. I would think sales folks would want to wear masks simply out of respect for their customers. There are folks out there that are not going to do the right thing unless forced - some work at Wally's. When I have a project, it's usually 2 or 3 trips to Wally's and I always find/get what I need eventually. I sometimes visit to just look at tools, etc. I will visit less often now.

I have NEVER felt comfortable in this store. The employees watch you like a hawk. They refuse to let you have a single moment to think or find what you need, as if you have an evil plan to steal a bunch of 5 cent screws and nails. In my opinion they're an incredibly racist establishment. It's gotten to the point where other customers have pointed out and stated during my visit "you surely aren't attempting to make a sale or upsale with them are you?" He made the statement as the representative attempted to shuffle my fiancé and I out of the door without allowing us to even get everything we needed for our project. The only reason I continued to be a patron is their decent prices. However, after so many visits where they make it a point to show me I'm not exactly welcome or trusted... I refuse to spend another penny of my hard earned money in their little shack of a store. I'll take my business over to Lowes and spend the few extra bucks, at least I'll be treated like a human being.

My father visited this store yesterday to purchase a replacement regulator for a gas grill. When he asked the cashiers where they were located, they just pointed to where they were located in the store. He goes to where the regulators are located and needed assistance. He goes back to the cashiers and asked if someone could assist him. They call for assistance. My father returns to the location and waits 10-15 for assistance. No one arrives. My father returns to the cashiers and asked again for assistance. At this point, one of the cashiers now has a change in her attitude like my father was asking for a kidney... She calls again for assistance. My father waits another 10-15 minutes. When the person comes to him to assist, my father explains exactly what he needs and the representative tries to convince him that he needed another type of end for the regulator. My father got what he needed after being aggravated at that point, made the purchase, and left. Wally's, please look into this situation and discuss this with your staff...

Wally's is the place to go if you need some expert advice. When you first walk in, they ask if you need any help and, if so, they assign an experienced sales rep to you to make sure you get what you need for your job and answer any questions you may have about it. Things may cost a little more than Walmart or Lowe's, but if you need some professional advise it's probably worth it.

This is my go-to hardware store. Better selection than the big store across the street and better customer service than any place in town. Everytime I need a hard to find tool or part they are they only ones around that have it.
