This was my first time here with my Maltese so naturally I was worried as any pet parent is, but hey, he looks great. Good hair cut, nails got done, teeth brushed, smells great, and staff was very pleasant. Took only an hour and he was ready, cost $60 for the wash, cut, and teeth brush, I already scheduled my other dog to be groomed with these guys next week. Groomer was Lyeticia (hope I spelled correctly).**Sorry for the action shot photos attached, Hank doesn't know how to sit for pictures just yet.

I’ve had my 12 pound mixed breed dog groomed here three times and every time has been a delightful experience. The staff is very skilled and my dog doesn’t seem as upset when I pick her up as when I used to take her to petsmart. Highly recommend this groomer!

No complaints. They do a great job, and they provide visual aids to help you identify how short of a cut you'd like. The bows and bandanas are so cute. From a medical standpoint, don't bring your pet here unless it's completely vaccinated. Lept bord Lyme rabies dapp . . . They don't ask anyone for proof of vaccination. That's just a disaster wating to happen, to be honest. . . Especially since they help and let strays off the street in. Just be careful, is all! Everyone is incredibly nice.

Washes & Wags is the best place that I’ve ever had groom my girls. Kris is amazing is very patient with the huskies, esp my 11 month old pup as she gets used to the grooming routine. The girls love going to see Kris every 2 weeks for their nail trim or to have their coat blown out. Everyone is always very professional & friendly. I recommend her to all my friends, family, & co-workers.

I was looking for a new groomers in the area and brought our dogs here for the first time today. I am sad at our experience. I understand that the business has had a fire and they are doing their best to keep working under the circumstances, and I appreciate that fact. However, our dogs, who have been to the groomers dozens of times in their lives, were more scared and depressed after being there for only two hours, than they have ever been after a grooming day. I did request a very short cut for our large poodle mixes, but am afraid they are going to get razor burn after how short they were cut in some areas. There were also several areas of jagged unsmooth cuts in the fur (see the picture of one of our pupps face). I felt weird from the moment I dropped them off and recieved an awkward reception from the check in table, and viewed the very confined areas they were working in. My dogs actually cowered away from my touch a couple of times when picking them up, which truly worries me as to how they were treated in their grooming. I really have no intention of trying to hurt this business or anyone there, I just want to warn anyone who is looking for a groomer right now that this may not be the place for you. I truly felt sad for our scared dogs and guilty that I brought them here. For anyone wondering, after lots of treats and cuddles our dogs are feeling much better :)

Dog Owners beware!!! I took my dog to Wags and Washes pet grooming in Summerville. for grooming. They cut my baby too close. When I contacted Wags and Washes with my $170 vet bill I was told that my dog scratched himself because he was matted therefore they refused to pay my vet bill. My dog did NOT do this. This was a result of the cut. Beware if you patronize this business!!!!!!!!

Do not go here!!! My mother took her dog here and the puncher her really bad and lied about it. They said she came that way and she was not limping before she went in there. We tried calling the owner but she never picked up and we called two days straight. Don’t ever go here, they lie about them being the best. They are not.

Our one rescue Toby (white with brown spots) had several homes before us and was very traumatized when it came to his nails being clipped and ears being cleaned. I have always done my pets nails but all 17 lbs of him would fight so hard, that even with help, I didn't feel safe to do them. I took him to a grooming place at a pet store, and despite my advice on the best ways to keep him calm to do them (put him in a tub or sink), they insisted on doing his nails while he was on a table... People from all over the store for the next 30 mins came over thinking he was seriously being hurt because he was screaming so loud. It was awful. 4 weeks later when his nails needed cut again (they grow very fast after years of not being cut), we got a recommendation from a neighbor to go to Washes and Wags. I gave them the same advice before they took him back. 5 mins later, they came back up with him walking happily on his leash. We never heard anything so I expected them to say they couldn't do him but instead they said "all done!" What! They literally were just inside a door, 10 feet from us and he never made a noise! They said with dogs like him, they found if one groomer holds him with his back against their chest so his paws are sticking out so the other groomer can cut them. He no longer minds getting his nails cut and happily trots in there every 4-6 weeks.We also get our other dog groomed there now too, so when it time for her to go, he also gets a spa day with an added bath, teeth, ears and such all cleaned. They love their spa days! (This time, the one who got a hair cut came back bedazzled! It was so cute! The center one is still staying 9 days later!)

I have been a customer of Washes and Wags to get my dogs nails trimmed since before the fire and after the fire. I have been pleased with the care of my dog. The last two visits I have noticed a fish tank that looks like it has been hung onto from the fire. The fish tank with what appear to be numerous dead fish laying inside. I am not certain of the purpose for it being on display. Once you see the tank it sets the mood for the whole experience at Washes and Wags. It is certainly a concern for animal welfare; being that this is a place you entrust in to take care of your pet. The employees have always been very kind and helpful every visit.

We've been using them for more than a year. The cut is never the same especially since Stephanie left. Reading other reviews I see a pattern of inconsistency. The cut our dog received about a week ago is horrible. Nothing is even and there are areas where his coat is carved out.

I had such a great experience today with this place! Sadie was in and out in an hour. She was bathed, nails trimmed and ears cleaned for a reasonable price. When she was ready to be picked up I received a text which is super convenient. All around a great experience! I love the cute bandana! Don’t mind the photo bomb from her cousin Charlie. ☺️

I took my Westie and mini golden doodle for grooming. Long story short, HORRIBLE experience. The groomer indicated he cut the pad of one of the dogs. When I got home, the other one had been cut on her side. (Groomer did not share that with me). The groomer was apologetic and did not charge for one of the services however this does not negate the trauma experienced by my pets. Clearly I will not go back.

I have always taken all FIVE of my Siberian Huskies to Washes and Wags. We LOVE Washes and Wags!! Our huskies always come home beautiful. My huskies are my babies, I don’t trust them to anyone except Washes and Wags because I know they are in good hands and are never stressed. BEST groomers ever!

Great and reasonably priced for all their services! The owner and the groomers are top notch. I’ve been taking my rescued dog Abba there for the last two years. She always comes back looking beautiful and smelling great! Would not go anywhere else. Best place in Summerville as far as I’m concerned!

Recently, I came across a concerning incident involving the owner of Washes and Wags Pet Grooming on Facebook. A woman was desperately trying to cover the medical expenses for her puppy's emergency surgery. Despite her GoFundMe only raising a portion of the funds, she was met with rudeness and lack of empathy from the company's owner.What touched my heart was the lady's son, who lovingly volunteered to give away his toys, which he no longer played with, to help fund his beloved pet's surgery. Instead of showing support or even just keeping quiet, the owner of Washes and Wags Pet Grooming displayed a demeaning and unsympathetic attitude.A pet grooming service should be built on compassion, understanding, and a love for animals. This incident is a glaring testament to the fact that Washes and Wags Pet Grooming has a long way to go in these regards.If they treat a distressed pet owner with such disdain on a public platform, it raises serious concerns about how they might be treating the pets and their owners behind closed doors. I hope the management takes a hard look at their values and makes necessary changes. I, for one, will be taking my business elsewhere and encourage others to consider doing the same.

I took my miniature poodle Pepper in for a grooming and was very happy with the cut and service. The Leticia did a fantastic job and listened to what I was wanting and gave me just that. Pepper approved too!Edit…. We were recommended Roxy because Leticia’s schedule and ours clashed when rescheduling. Roxy did a wonderful job on my poodle.The shape was exactly as I asked and the detail of the cute was pure perfection. Very please!
