First time eating at this restaurant and the food were good. The soup of the day on Saturday was tomato basil soup and creamy mushroom soup. I ordered the mushroom soup which was so good with portabella chicken and goat cheese wrap.We also ordered grilled cheese with bacon with 3 type of cheese (Brie,mozzarella, and Monterey Jack )and a slice of tomato which my picky eater said it tasted good. The grilled cheese came with a choice of pasta salad, chips, side salad or potato salad.We were there for really late lunch and had to used the bathroom which brought us to the last person at their closing hour, 3pm. When we walked out the door, one of the employee yelled yay. Not sure why he yelled yay, maybe because we finally left which I think kinda rude. We didn't purposely linger but need to use the bathroom before we left. But overall good food and service were fine until the last minute we walked out the door.

First time eating here and the Focaccia was AMAZING!! Usually I take photos before I eat but I couldn’t resist! The grilled veg was delicious.The lady who took our order was super sweet and had a great vibe. We will definitely be back!

The inside leaves a lot to be desired. Not the cleanest and kind of run down and boy is it hot. Too hot inside too hot outside. Now the food, pasta salad was a bottle of what tasted like balsamic drenched over some pasta. Not what I expected . Caesar wrap was not good. Chicken not really a blackened flavor and worked against the Caesar. It was nasty. The lemonade was pretty bad too. My friend had a Reuben and potato soup. The soup was so watery. She hated it and her Reuben. The food was flavorful in the wrong way. I will never eat here again. Money wasted. Watched the lady who was straightening up and serving food, take her gloved hand pick up trash off the floor and went right back to what she was doing. No glove change.. maybe I needed to order something else because according to Google this place is great. I was shocked and disappointed

Excellent❣️ I have tried several restaurants all over Charleston and Summerville, but this hidden Gem is on my top list. I ordered on the website 'Pick 2' which was easy to navigate on the website and I must say they beat a lot of restaurants for high quality and freshness! I'm so glad that I chose to order here because I ordered dinner from another restaurant and it does not compare. I ordered the salmon BLT paired with a warm goat cheese arugula salad with pear and mandarin orange. It was the best! The staff is very caring and cooks with love. You can tell! My salmon BLT was on a garlic pizza bread toast and it was so delicious y'all. I love finding hidden Gems. I will revisit my review when I order again! Yes I'm coming back! Lol

Cute spot in downtown Summerville. One of the best Salmon BLT (minus the bacon). Pesto on the salmon was 10/10. Stop in if you’re in Summerville. Worth the street parking.

UPDATE: We've been back here quite a few times. Food has always been great, and chicken salad on croissant with side of pasta salad is still my favorite. They also have lots of tasty desserts -- cookies, cakes, dessert bars, etc. (selection changes daily).I'm kicking myself for just now discovering this little gem in Summerville. EXCELLENT food, incredibly nice, fast, and helpful staff! Their Chicken Salad on croissant was amazing! The Asian Chicken Wrap and pasta salad were also very good. My kids loved the Grilled Cheese with Bacon on Texas Toast.Small place with ample seating inside and outside.We're DEFINITELY coming back...very soon.

Finally after all these years we finally tried this place and so glad we did. What a hidden gem. It’s basically sandwich salad and soup shop from the looks of it but the quality and price is amazing. You can get a sandwich with soup or salad for $11.00. I. Todays rising cost this is almost unheard of. I had the Cool Ranch Chicken sandwich with Parmesan encrusted Texas toast. I expected deli meat but was load with carved chicken and bacon. My wife had a wrap with chicken and apples and potato salad. Absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try something else.

Used to love this place and would treat family to lunch when their in town, the food is delicious, the chef and rest of staff were always kind and professional---however the cashier (Meredith) is difficult, impatient and disrespectful to customers.At 1:40 on Good Friday, I called to place a pick up order....Meredith immediately placed me on hold...and 2 seconds into giving her my order she tells me "ma'am hurry with your order, we're very busy" (I guess my order wasn't important).... and became more annoyed when I attempted order my 2nd item (I had intended to purchase lunch for 4 people). She became increasingly difficult (our bread choice was an issue, then she wouldn't clarify why, talks loud over me, then tells rudely "ma'am just continue with your order" as if I were a child being scolded.)At that point, I decided I would spend money elsewhere.

Nice place, the food was really good. I ordered Tuscan chicken panini with chicken rice and vegetable soup. My husband ordered grilled cheese with bacon and buffalo chicken soup. And my kids split eclectic chicken gyro which came with pasta salad or potato salad. We picked pasta salad. I think my husband's soup was better... the buffalo chicken and I liked his sandwich and the kids sandwich better than mine. The pasta salad has a balsamic vinaigrette hint to it. The prices were not too expensive about $8 each item and they take military discounts so all together was about $35 with two soft drinks. I also bought four cake pops the chocolate kind. it wasn't chocolate inside the chocolate was only outside the inside to me tasted like cookie dough I didn't really care for it. I had better cake pops elsewhere. FYI they have a changing table in the bathroom which is really nice if you have little kids.

This place is really good. Every time I have been the food is excellent and the staff is great. Eclectic Chef is an awesome spot to stop for lunch! Definitely recommend, and I'll be back.

Happened to be in the area and read about this spot on Facebook - definitely lived up to the hype! I would recommend everything I got (french dip & cream of mushroom soup) but HIGHLY recommend the oatmeal cream pie. SO good! Will be back next time I'm around Summerville!

Famous Chicken salad.Quick walk up and order delicatessen located in downtown old Summerville SC.no alcohol but what looks to be fairly healthy lunch alternative at a decent relatively cheap price. Wow is all I can say. What an awesome find. Having a hard time writing the review because the food is so tasty. Get here before it closes. Lots of local to go orders. I'm so impressed with our two meals. I whole heartedly recommend this place the next time you visit Summerville SC.

Wow! Stopped here on a road trip to folly beach after hours on the road and it was just what we needed! Covid safe, we felt taken care of! The food was scrumptious, would definitely eat here again. Great prices, and the sides were super good too! Can eat outside at the available tables for a quaint and filling experience.The salad was so good, going to come back just to have one again!

I held my review of the Eclectic Chef for a couple years because I had to be sure. Well I am now. Earlier today I had the best cuban sandwich I've had in years (and I've had quite a few)! It was sweet, spicy, tart, savory, crispy, gooey, and honestly, exactly perfect. So good that every bite made me thank God for my life.I've also had the reuben, and a couple other sandwiches, soups, and salads I can't remember, and they were all great.Pro tips: pay an extra dollar for the side salad with their "pick two" deal!Park in the free parking garage right next door, and remember to stroll around this foot-traffic-only section of Central Ave.

The food is AH-MAZING. I had the turkey, brie and apple sandwich on foccacia and tomato basil soup.All fresh and deliciously savory.You order at the counter and with limited seating, you HOPE to get a table.There is seating outside because it's located on short central. A picturesque cobblestone area free of traffic to visit in downtown Summerville, with a free parking garage a short walk away.The staff was friendly and thoughtful, even when a bit overwhelmed. I have plenty of other dishes I can't wait to try.If in a hurry, order to go or call in your order and pickup. Sorry, I didn't take a photo of my food but look at their Facebook page and you'll see the quality.

Wanted to like this place. But they made it hard. Started with cashier handing us cups after grabbing the rims. Then the music was extremely loud and tuned to a local radio station instead of a no commercial source. We had to try 3 tables until we found one that was sturdy. The food came arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered it. We only ordered a salad and a quiche. And the flys. There were more than you would find in an outside restaurant. This place could be great with just a little TLC.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. The food was terrific, the service even better and the prices are a steal. I enjoyed the French Dip Sandwich & the D’Anjou Pear & Warm Goat Cheese salad - highly recommend both. I will absolutely return to this terrific establishment on our next visit to Summerville.
