Had to book an unexpected room. It was well after midnight and the pricing wasn't bad. Very dog friendly. The third shift desk worker was the best part of the service. Very friendly, very attentive, and accommodating. I'm not sure what his name was but he made the experience pleasant. The breakfast is packaged, one cereal option, but the milk is really cold. They have a juice machine. And coffee. It's not a very busy Hotel, it's location and my experience when did to this fact. I say that to say this: the housekeeping in the morning sucks. They don't like their job and they don't like cleaning up after anybody. I say that as the type of guest who throws my trash in the trash can strips my bed for whoever cleans after me and I put the Linens in the towels in a pile to help minimize the labor. None of this matters to the housekeeping. It was one woman who was probably the wife of the first shift guy, a franchise I presume. She made noticeable gestures and comments about the way I thought I was helping. Very condescending. It was a really unfortunate way to leave after paying for this service. But it doesn't matter because these owners don't care about things like this. That lady really sucked. But the third shift guy was awesome.Nearby activities: Not too much. No truck stops just gas stations at the exit. And there are more hotels around it. McDonald's for breakfast. Waffle House also.Food & drinks: No vending but they sell cold soda from the office

We stayed for a week. Chris, the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The older housekeeping lady, she said her name was Aunty did a thorough job on our room, and was responsive to our requests. We're definitely planning on staying there again. We saw no evidence of tiny livestock, as per the other reviews.Nearby activities: Waffle House is very close. McDonald's is just across the street. Also very close to the highway interchange.

They need to bug bomb and deep clean at the very least. Management and staff need some serious training on what a clean room is. I have a lot more to say if corporate would like to reach out.Bottom line: I would never stay here and never recommend anyone else do it either unless there are some serious changes. And that’s pretty sad coming from a long time Red Roof member.Rooms: Bed made but room floor hasn’t seen a mop in ages. Microwave hasn’t been cleaned in ages either. Dead bugs on floor. Walls & hvac unit need some paint & Mr. Clean.

It's a nice place to stay for a short period of time. Rooms are clean, but what you go thru with housekeeping is hardly worth putting up with. Harsh.Walkability: There is a burger king, a McDonald's & 2 convenience stores within walking distance.

Wonderful staff! Very friendly and helpful. Quick stop on our way to Myrtle Beach but so glad we did. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. We left my grandsons "blankie" and realized it 20 minutes up the road. We called back and they had it ready at the front desk. Very happy little guy! He said it was part of his "adventure."

Very nice motel with the exception of very sensitive walls. You can hear every little sound from other rooms. Other than that I will give 5 stars.Safety: A lot of decent people. And it is good location where u don’t have to worry about crimes.

if i could give this place 0 stars i would... i just wanted to rest for the night after a long drive. i'd have a better visit sleeping in the parking lot of the waffle house up the street. the rooms were not cleaned. like at all. they had bed bugs, the sheets had stains on them, it smelled of stale cigarettes' and rotten meat. the worse part was the owner was racist when i tried to complain smh.. please don't listen to the other reviews, this is a place of nightmares.

I arrived late and could not change my check in day. After calling Priceline and trying to change dates to get a room right then Misty helped me complete my check in. After driving 12hrs from Michigan I was so grateful(and tired). My room is clean, in ALL ways and smells good. Her customer service was hospitable and kind hearted as she went above and beyond. I really appreciated this, thanks Misty I’ll definitely stay here again☺️.

Very lovely people got here in the late AM and they even permitted an early check in for the following night. Rooms are clean and stocked up on toiletries. People have been very kind and helpful. Pet friendly, with large grassy pet areas, including dooky bags, receptacles, and beautiful wooded trails. Highly recommend. Oh and they permit your dogs to be off leash as well.. Big plus

Worst hotel experience ever. Dirty from the start (mystery stuff on the walls) dirty floors, mold in the shower, roaches, thin walls (you can hear everything and unfortunately I mean everything), Bummer since I’ve stayed with red roof inn before. This location is one I don’t recommend! I don’t typically leave reviews but hope this helps someone.Rooms: Rooms are terrible! Unclean and by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.

I would give this motel less than 1 star if I could. I booked on Booking.com. When I got there I was informed there was a 25.00 fee that would be charged for "damages" that was not disclosed when I booked. The room was horrible. The king size bed was a cheap frame with a mattress on top that did not want to stay on. The walls are paper thin, you could hear the conversations next door. A nasty band aid was over the peep hole in the door. Several things were broken and patched in the room. 3 days after checkout I was refunded all but 20 cents of the 25.00 "deposit". I have no clue what that was about. Save your money!!!

I wish I could give it ZERO stars because that it was this place deserves. The bed sheets were dirty. The towels are old, scratchy, dingy and stained. The shower head is just chilling there with a huge hole in the wall. The shower had hair in it. The coffee machine looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in literal years. Very loud, people running through the hotel at night. It’s so loud, there must be no insulation because you can hear everything that’s going on like it’s happening in your room. The TV wouldn’t come in clear. We stayed in a king and were given 3 of the most pathetic pillows I’ve ever seen in life, one I swear was just crumbled up socks put in a pillow case. The hot and cold in the shower is backwards. The floors were so disgusting, looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. We left after one night, and ate the second nights cost because it was so repulsive. We moved to a much better hotel for only $20 more a night. I don’t even care that I lost a hundred dollars, maybe you’ll use that to actually make your hotel better. I doubt it. Do not stay here. Just don’t do it.

Stopped here around 8pm with our dog unexpectedly as we were too tired to carry on.Guy at front desk was super friendly, accommodating, and easy to communicate with.I will say this place will work if you’re on a tight budget -if you’re not keep driving! Pay extra and get a nicer hotel as the people in the rooms around you make or break a good nights sleep.Also it didn’t seem very crowded when we arrived, however the party started later…Room is a bit stained and cigarette burn on comforter but we eased into much needed sleep and rest around 9pm… to be awakened at 1am by the loudest tv ever in the room next to us and what sounded like the bed being broken apart above us… both beds being destroyed, wood banging through the walls and floor from 1am-3pm. At one point I was concerned someone was being killed.The tv next to us was so loud until 5am it was impossible to sleep. After that the snoring was so loud it was ridiculous. And as we walked to the car at 630am I stepped through puke…

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while visiting from Atlanta. Based on other reviews, we didn't have high hopes but we were pleasantly surprised. The check in was quick and easy. Our room was recently updated(needs some more work), the hotel overall needs work but our room was good. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We were only there Friday-Sunday Juneteeth Weekend. I would definitely stay here again for a quick weekend.

Stayed one night here and had a pleasant enough experience. The front desk guy was friendly and my room was clean and odorless. My only complaint is that the other guests were still loud past midnight, but that's more of a disrespectful people thing and not so much a hotel thing.

Had to update my review from 3 stars to 5! We used to stay at Redroof every time we worked in SC which was at one point our second home... Then it began to go down hill... Rooms were a wreck but the price was way to much for the stay.. Since we had heard it was remodeled we decided to stay last night to check it out... I was extremely impressed with the Service to start... I am horrible with names but he was the 3rd shift front Desk attendant... He was not only the nice employee I think they've EVER had... * friendly, welcoming and hospitable... He assured me none of the rooms smell like smoke anymore and as I said yeah that's probably giving the rooms too much credit.. He said if I smelled the Room and it smelled like smoke that he would personally take of it! I was immediately impressed with the hallway... It used to Smell like smoke coming from the rooms... Then we entered the room! Well Done!!! The king Size was comfy and updated.. the entire room was completely different.. No more funky carpet, No more bun holes or cigarette burns all over the bathroom... And It Did NOT smell like smoke at all!! The only recommendation and Request... more selection with hygiene products.. (shampoo, conditioner and Lotion... especially lotion) otherwise I have to say... Who ever the new owners are... I have to say.. you have the greatest front Desk attendant (2/11/20) is the night he was working.. and congratulations to your remodel... I will be back!

Wish Google would have negative star ratings. 1. Why are ADA rooms in the back of the building where they put all the troublemakers and shifty people?2. Room was filthy. There was garbage under the bed, under the nightstand, food garbage too.3. Active live black mild growing in the bathroom. Room looked like it had been flooded at one point. Cheap furniture had wood tone peeling off 5 inches up from floor. Dead bugs everywhere. Thankful they were dead.4. Because reservation was prepaid for 2 nights, had to stay. The 2nd night was the best when the couple next store got into a DV incident and 4 Spartanburg deputies had to show up to diffuse situation. Thought the guy was gonna kill her before they came.5. No continental breakfast because of COVID. Seriously? Complimentary coffee and tea?Traveled 3 states home, boiled ourselves and scrubbed with Lysol.

The rooms are clean and newly renovated. Nobody really bothers you. Overall it's been a nice place to stay if you're just looking for an affordable place to relax. The convenient stores and waffle house, McDonald's and burger king are all in walking distance also. I have no complaints.

Aug 30, 2019, one night stay. Friendly and very helpful staff from the reservationist to check in to check out, three different people. I was made to feel welcome, and the room was cooling on my arrival. The toilet in the room wouldn't hold its water and made a loud bad noise as it refilled itself every few minutes. There was nobody there to fix it, so I had to turn on and off the water at the base of the toilet. Also, there are issues between the online advertised price and the price actually available from the hotel. That said, I'm a loyal Red Roof customer because of their wonderful pet policy, and any room issues were surpassed by the wonderful staff.

Staff friendly, helpful and pleasant. Housekeeping needs some improvement. No ice bucket, microwave and fridge dirty. There was Hair? Or maybe Mustache hair? In tub...(I hope it was mustache hair...) it was as if the housekeeper was side tracked, and forgot to finish. The bed and sheets were clean. The front desk girls were nice, I informed them of the issue. I was told they left message for the manager, to get a discount, for the uncleanliness, but, that was last night around 10pm, and again at 8am when we checked out....still no word from manager.

My experience was not good at all. I drove from Florida and made it after 9 PM…was placed in a dirty room next to guests who were arguing and literally fighting throughout the whole night and I woke up to them fighting and running into the walls. 2 different guests knocked on their door to ask them to stop. Nothing was done about the behavior. I then received a random call asking me when do I plan to leave, it’s not even 10 AM??? I was told that I would need to leave by 10:30 BEFORE checkout time. I told front desk about this and they did nothing about it. Do not stay here. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

The staff checking us in was very nice. The furniture is newish, although the picture on the TV sucks big time, almost unwatchable (pretty much everything just shades of blue). The reason for just one star is because there was a roach in our room.
