Good and well-groomed animals, good and high-quality products, as well as food for parrots. It's better to clean after chinchillas, as there was an unpleasant smell in the store. On my second visit, I bought a cage and a parrot. I didn't like that they sell mirrors for them. PEOPLE, IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR PARROT TO GO CRAZY, DON'T BUY IT A MIRROR TOY. That's why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. But overall, everything is excellent, I really liked the variety of fish.

Yes, the Petco in Spartanburg is much better than their competitor. They are the best place to get your pets needs.

This depends on what employees are there. I had one experience where the lady didn't know her information on what I was buying and then another experience where they were great and informative all in all I love this place and the animals and options they have.

Today was the second time we saw sea life being eaten alive. The first time was an axolotl paired with fish, which you’re not supposed to do, struggling to stay alive while being eaten by the fish. This time two fish got one, ripped its stomach open & were eating the guts. So great for my small child to see, not to mention those poor animals. When I brought it to the employees attention today she seemed very irritated & inconvenienced. No longer will I support such a disgusting place. They don’t care about their animals whatsoever. It’ll be worth the drive to the west side to get what I need.

Our cashier, Brooke, either needs a new career or had a horrible day. We came to buy a Wubba for our puppy and the website said they were in stock at our Petco for $9.99. So we grabbed a bunch of toys and a bag of Purina Pro Plan Puppy Salmon and rice. When we got to the register, she rang up the Wubba first. $12.99. I showed her, on my phone, where it said I could get it there. She said nope. Sometimes prices are cheaper on the website, if I wanted to order online and come back the next day to pick up, it was our choice. My choice was to leave it all and go. My husband purchased our clearance toys and puppy food. Went to PetSmart and they had no problem at all matching the price AND being very nice about it. That’s customer service. I know $3 isn’t much, but when you are buying supplies for a new, growing German Shepherd puppy, you try to save what you can, as they outgrow everything in a matter of weeks. This place is ridiculous. How are you going to call my dog stressed . I pay you to wash my dog not psychoanalysis. My dog is not stupid he knows he is getting washed. Then I asked well my other dog is near and has an appointment tomorrow can I just switch them and Alisha H said is he a PIT TOO. Why does his breed matter. If Petco don’t want to see pit bulls then say that. Don’t waste my time and have me come down there if you are just going to judge my dog. I see all kinds of breeds come through there all the time. Do you ask everyone what breed their dog is. My dog is 3 and hyper not stressed. If you don’t want hyperactive dogs at your business then say that. People are so quick to judge pit bulls maybe you should try looking in the mirror because certain breeds are the least of your worries.

It’s ok. Most of the employees are friendly, they just always seem to be out of stock of what I want or need. I keep coming here for dog food though because I know Petco has standards for the brands they sell unlike mass merchandisers.

Came into to grab some dog food and check on what small pets were available. Kira, helped us and my son was able to pet a chinchilla. I appreciated that she took her time to show us what was available and the programs that would apply to us.

Happen back at this location on a Monday morning. They were so helpful and shared useful infomation for a snake. I was so pleased .... was a totally different experiance from the last (week end, pm time). Happened to be a different dept. as well.( old reveiw) Lame, burnout .... seems to be full service ready to accommodate (Petco). Dont be mislead !

I purchased 2 cat towers and no one helped me with them and the lady who brought them out was nasty and gave me an attitude. It would have been nice to have help since these were large items.

It's a pet store 🤷 with actual pets, who doesn't like that? They have quite a few reptiles, a large selection of fish. They were not stocked up on the furry friends as much though. They have them just not in the day I went in.

Box stores don’t always have their shelves full anymore. But petco came through. Online prices match only if you show them at the register. Love this store!

While I appreciate having a pet store, this store has really gone downhill. There are bare shelves, inventory shoved everywhere that needs to be put away and they do training all over the store. They really need to have a designated area away from the rest of the store.

Some of the staff members are always in a bad mood or has an attitude. There freshwater aquatic tanks always have sick fish in them. I would purchase fish from there many times and they would die within a few days they’re fish are always sick. Also the prices are a little high, I mean yeah they have good deals but still sick fish. The wait for me to get a fish would be over 20 mins of a wait. They’re information on fish sucks bad they don’t tell you actual info on they’re animal they lack that bad. But started going to Petsmart and will always go there from now on should’ve have in the first place. P.S. they would say my water is bad but does it really look bad?

Very unhappy. We just left 2 hours ago with 70 goldfish for a children's fall festival and 16 died that fast. Yes I knew couple may. But that many we needed least to get a few replaced and my assistant called and they said no. I usually use them but will not again! Rude.

I have made three trips to this location in the past five weeks attempting to purchase aquatic plants. Each visit was over a 70 mile round trip from my house. 1st time - I was told by the sales associate that he was too busy and would be clocking out soon anyway. 2nd visit - I was told, by what I assume was the manager, that they didn’t have anyone in that department and to come back another day. 3rd visit - the associate could not find the prices on multiple plants I wanted to purchase. I asked if she could look them up but she refused and told me I needed to come back during the day when the guy, who knew what he was doing, could answer my questions. The bad news is that I’m a loyalty member and have spent close to $1k with Petco in the past six months. The good news is that I have choices as they have competition - both brick & mortar and online (much cheaper anyway). This is the only location I’ve ever had an issue with and hopefully management/leadership uses this review to improve their abysmal customer service.
