Absolute worst customer service at this location. Went by after work today for something. I go up to the front to check out and a guy walks up behind the counter. I had to initiate the greeting. I asked him “ hey, how are you?” And NOTHING. He finishes ringing up my stuff and finally he talks and tells me my total. I paid with debit and when I was leaving I even said “I hope you have a good night” and NOTHING, just looked at me. If you can’t be nice to people you do not need a job with the public. Thank god it is not my normal store, but either way I will not be coming back to this location.

This store NEVER opens on time!! 8am , I left 8:15 so I wouldn't be late for work and it was still closed. You lost at least 10 customers this morning. Never going there again!

Came here to get something on sale. Only 1 employee working the entire store on a Friday. That is a safety issue in itself. Random stock cages everywhere. Trash all over the floor. Floor looks like it hasn't been swept or mopped in a good 3 months or longer. This was my 1st visit here and it will be my last. I truly felt sorry for the lady working by herself in all that clutter and filth. I'm shocked a rat didn't run out across my feet.

They seem to have changed management and are insisting people leave PURSES by the front door when entering. I am no longer comfortable using this location for my shopping. It's always a fire hazard anyways, with merch carts blocking half of the aisles and one employee who is almost never to be found. Would not recommend.

Lady at the register was absolutely awesome. Took her time and wrapped all my glass items so nothing would break. That's how customer service should be. She had a great attitude and extremely friendly. I even bought her a drink and a snack to thank her for working with the pandemic as crazy as it is. Good job girl!!

It use to be a really clean and great place to shop for snacks and cleaning supplies. But in the past year it’s been getting worse. The floors are covered in dirt and product that belongs on the shelves or trashed. Soda cans in the cooler covered in sticky stuff, open bags of chips and candy wrappers hanging around. Boxes of stock left on the floor. Shelves barren or over stocked and stuff falling off. Bathroom was broken by a homeless person. Register clerk wasn’t wearing a mask despite the signs saying everyone should wear a mask. Some aisle unable to go down because all the product tossed on the floor. The employee are generally fairly polite and I know it’s hard with the pandemic time we live in currently but there is a line. And that line has been crossed with how dirty that place has gotten, I think bugs will appear next.

Unlike some people. I actually think the squeaky toy is convenient. You don't have to go searching or yell for an employee. We can't expect them to just stand in one spot twiddling their thumbs waiting on shoppers. They have other duties/chores.

This is the WORST dollar general in Spartanburg.They do not honor their own coupons. I showed her that I clipped the coupon. I showed her the posted price on the aisle. She still did not honor it. And would not allow me to get a refund. They definitely make their own rules your never allowed to get cash back. Idc what time of the day it is. No cash back, no one is ever at the register, no back up help for long lines, no friendly customer service! Just a bad representation of Dollar General all together. This isn’t the first incident either however it will be the last!

I liked going to this Dollar General because of the friendly atmosphere and the way you could easily find what you needed and get out without much wait. However now they have seemed to have changed several staff members a couple of times and some won't even speak to you when you come in or check out. I use to like the way their digital coupons worked but now if you don't pay attention, some won't be added.

Its DG people. My goodness the way that you follow people around the store. You should have a lot of time to get all the clutter and mess out the middle of the isles. Employees need training and you have employees that will steal more than the customers. I hate coming to DG and I try to avoid it at all costs. That's sad and I love DG.

Never opens in time. Me and 3 inherit customers waited for 10 minutes in the cold before we gave up. If I was cooperate I would fire whole staff and start over

Store is NASTY ! DON'T LOOK LIKE THE FLOORS HAD BEEN CLEANED OR MOPPED SINCE THE STORE OPENED. . TRASH ALL ON FLOORS. DIDN'T GET A RECEIPT. PRINTER DIDN'T EVEN WORK. STORE MAKE ME NOT WANT TO VISIT IT AGAIN AND MOST DEFINITELY WANT REFER ANYONE TO GO THERE .

Didn’t know you needed an ID when using a debit card. Been there many times buying PlayStation cards, however today the cashier told me I need to use cash. Why??? Because the amount was too much, what does that mean. We want to make sure you are who you are. I’m using my debit card- I purchased more than 150 many other places and NEVER was asked to see an ID for debit. Suspicious!!!

It's is the best store I've been in. It was clean .well stocked. Very friendly and helpful employees.i well be going back there .it has become my only dollar store from now on.

This store has multiple hiring signs , I put in a application & called to check on my application.they just allow the phones to ring . They barely has stock of products. And nasty service for anyone trying to join their team
