I'm glad I stopped by this little gem to try the burger. The customer service was great. They communicated the wait time and I enjoyed sitting outside with the beautiful weather and scenery. I ordered a chili cheese bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger could have had more chili and the fries came with chili/cheese on top which I didn't ask for. It was just warm temperature after waiting but still I enjoyed it. The sweet tea was definitely a good southern tea. I will be back to try other things on the menu.

This is the BEST burger restaurant in Spartanburg. In fact, in the surrounding area too.I've visited Burgers & Bakery numerous times and it's always fantastic. The service you receive is wonderful. The food is amazing. Truly delicious. I've tried many different burgers here and each one has been incredible. And their desserts are simply awesome. Made fresh, from scratch, their desserts are a must-have.If you're in the area and you're searching for a great restaurant, with excellent service, serving the BEST burgers in Spartanburg, you simply must go to Burgers & Bakery!(note: you can't see it from the road... because Burgers & Bakery is in an art deco cottage built in 1931, set back off the road. It's such a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Be looking for the roadside sign. A Bonus: They have an awesome gourmet coffee shop in the basement that has a cool, prohibition-era speakeasy vibe!)

It's such a cute little place. It's surrounded by trees and seems isolated for the location. The hamburgers are made with real meat - it didn't seem like the store bought Patty's. However, they were not grand and a bit underwhelming. I think I was expecting more gourmet. The fries were the highlight for me. They were real potatoe cut fries. The garlic cheese and the sweet potato fries were very good, and I highly recommend those options. Overall, the food did taste good, and I recommend people try it, even just for the atmosphere and quaint uniqueness of it.Though, be warned, the parking lot can seem a bit rough. But it's worth trying.Kid-friendliness: They offer a decent variety for the children's menu.

Burgers & Bakery in SC not only wowed us with exceptional burgers and delectable sweet potato fries but also won our hearts with its dog-friendly outdoor area. The inviting atmosphere, combined with the diverse burger options, made our dining experience even more enjoyable.A definite recommendation for both burger aficionados and those looking for a pet-friendly dining spot.

First-timer for dinner. We had an opportunity to meet the owner, super friendly and helpful. Spartanburg needs more of these fresh/tasty burgers. I had the Little Dipper and my husband had the Big Tony…so hearty, loved the waffle sweet potato fries. I love the menu options!The patio is surrounded by the most lush “backyard” and when the cars were not passing by, the sound of nature was great. The patio is a little weathered and has so much potential, although glad they focus on the food.We will be back!

Nice burger spot off in the cut of the woods. Customer service was great, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The burgers (we had the philly cheese burger) were delicious and will definitely return. Loved the housemade buns!! Parking is slightly limited if it's a full house but well worth it. We didn't wait long after placing our order. Great job!

Amazing burger, went on a Friday early afternoon to try it out, so wasn't really busy at all. Lots of options for burgers I went with a monster of a burger forget it's name but was 3 patties 2 eggs an cheese sauce, my kid got double bacon an he could barely eat half of it. The buns were fresh and soft and complimented the burger perfect. Has that nice mom and pop feel to it, which I really enjoyed. Will definitely go back again..also girl behind the counter was super nice and answered my questions. Definitely a hidden gem and I've been looking for a new amazing burger place since moving here from Seattle think I've found it

My experience was absolutely wonderful! I was very pleased to learn that any of their burger options can be made vegetarian and i was able to enjoy a very delicious classic burger again. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The owner was there as well and made me feel very welcomed. I will definitely be going back and I will always recommend this place to any one!

Was looking for somewhere new to try and found them online so we decided we would give them a try. The old house turned into a burger place has great charm and a nice feel. There were 6 of us for lunch and there was plenty to choose from even for the 2 of us that are low carb. Staff was friendly and made sure we had no questions or that we needed anything. Was not a long wait for the food to come out. Burgers had a great flavor and we left stuffed. If you are in the area take some time and give them a try!

There is a reason why their entry wall is filled with awards! Their burgers, fries and bakery items are made with passion and care. When you walk in to order, speaking with the staff feels like you've know them your whole life. They take care of you during your dinning experience and make the place feel like home. If you are thinking about dinning here, be prepared to be returning week after week - it is that good!!

What a wonderful experience all around. Delicious smash burgers done right! Fabulous desserts that are made in house and top notch service with a smile. I had the Blueberry Q burger, a huge double cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese and a scrumptious brat between the patties. On top they put their homemade blueberry and jalapeño bbq sauce that was an absolute party in my mouth. Continuing with the Brat trend hubby got The Dirty Brat burger! This one is a single but has a grilled brat on top, and their house made chili! Great kick and off the hook flavor. Our son had a cheeseburger sub that he absolutely loved. The service was awesome! Attentive, smiling and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were very happy. For dessert we tried their homemade raspberry chocolate brownie and classic cheesecake. The brownie was decadent and the cheesecake velvety and delicious. Some of the best I’ve had. Overall this little hidden gem deserves 10 stars! They hold several awards, they were featured on Americas Best Restaurants and on the local news “Let’s Eat” segment. With all that, they are some of the most humble people. We spoke to the owner briefly and she’s an absolute sweetheart who really cares about her customer’s experience! I can’t say enough good things. Please go support this fabulous restaurant! Oh… and in the basement of the same building, they have an adorable coffee shop with AMAZING Coffee! This is so much more than a restaurant, it’s a whole experience where you’re made to feel like you’re the most important person in the room. Love it.

Everyone that was working was so nice and friendly. The place was clean inside and outside. They have a nice little outdoor seating area. The French fries were nice and hot and yummy. The hamburgers are like no other. They are so good. They load them up with topping. I don't think I've ever had that much bacon on one burger. This place is definitely a hidden gem. It's worth a try. ❤

An unexpected treat off the beaten path.The good:-Quick service-friendly-fresh and hot food-great tasteImprovements:-Bakery part of the name left some to be desired. Not a lot of options, very limited.-A bit priceyOverall it’s a good find. Not somewhere to go every week as it’s too expensive of a burger place for that, but it’s a good treat sometimes.It’s a solid 4.5 star.

I'm giving this place 2 stars because there was a strain of hair found floating in my cup of tea, my vehicle sits very low (corvette) and the entrance to this place is rough. There is a huge pot hole that needs attention! Lastly, there was about a 30 minute wait to just order your food. Nevertheless, the owner I assume, was very cordial. But we won't be back here.

Excellent food, a wide variety of options. I really appreciated the gluten free/keto bun option. I just wish the bun would’ve been toasted or warmed through a touch more. Definitely recommend!Just made a return trip to this place. Love the lettuce wrap option and the outdoor seating was great and we appreciated that it was pet friendly & they even brought out a water bowl for her.

The exterior very much looks like an old house, as it once was. Inside is a cute little cashier area with a chalkboard menu. Several different burger options with unique toppings. I was feeling basic today and ordered the patty melt and my husband got the Hawaiian burger. I tried a bit of the Hawaiian and loved it. The patty melt was tasty but I had a bite that had bone. It also had sweet pickles on it. I was expecting dill and I am definitely not a fan of sweet pickle anything. Very friendly staff and I would recommend giving this place a shot!

This place had so much to pick from, I didn’t know what to get! The staff was very nice! The adult grilled cheese wasn’t cooked all the way through, when I got home I had to throw it in the air fryer but it came out pretty good and if you like extra cheese on your fries then I recommend just getting the regular amount that’s already on it lol, it’s a lot of cheese. But all total I would recommend because I know I am coming back!

Tried this place for the first time after seeing reviews. Burgers were pretty good. Service was decent. We had to stand and wait while the person out front ran around. Phone orders that came in were taken while we stood and waited to order. Seems they need more help. Restaurant looked pretty clean but the condiments and other items on the table could stand a little cleaning. They were sticky and had build up. I also wouldn’t consider this a bakery. There is a small cooler near the register with a few items. That was disappointing.

I loved the place. It has a very interesting location. Pretty sure the view from the windows will be amazing during summer and fall. The day my bf and I came they had some specials and one of them were crepes. They were good, but absolutely cold which makes me think they were made in advance. Wish they were warm though. My bf loved the burger and I tried some of his fries it was delicious! Will come back for sure and try their baked stuff!

Absolutely 5 Stars! This is a 5 star burger establishment! I consider myself an 'aficionado' of burgers. I can tell you.... this place has the absolute best burgers...hands down! The selection is amazing! The menu is incredible! If there's something you're unsure about on a burger, they'll put it on the side for you. If there's something you want added to a burger, they'll add it. The buns are made fresh! They even have a spicy bun, if you're so inclined. I got the Zachary Jack burger with sweet potato fries as a side. This burger...phenomenal, delicious! The sweet potato fries are excellent! They have a sweet sauce you can get for dipping the fries in...so good! Burgers are not the only thing they have! Grilled hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, street tacos. They have amazing looking, fresh made desserts! Unfortunately for me, I was so full from the Zachary Jack burger I couldn't have dessert! But I'm going back for some sweet goodness!I don't care how you get here....hop, skip, run, walk or crawl! You have got to come and eat here! Ohh....all of the staff were super friendly and helpful! Thank you for such a fantastic experience! 😁

Great little gem, nestled in a cute and calming location! Driveway is a bit rough, but that's ok, go slow. The staff and owner are awesome! Any and every burger combination you can think of. Vegan and celiac friendly. Everything is delicious, the pastries are amazing. Fresh made and so flavorful. Ample seating. 100% worth a try, you'll be hooked. This will be one of our go-to burger places. I love these burgers!!! Bring a good appetite because they are huge! AND you can get them in a gluten free bun as well! And many other things. Did I mention the really tasty cakes??? No? Man I tell you they are soooo yummy! They are made there in the house and you will not regret getting more then one! 😂 It is just hard to make a decision.Oh and if you like a coffee or latte or tee with your cake go just a couple of steps down to the Hidden Bean and get one there! How convenient is that? Just check both places out. I really like coming here more often.And I have to go again because I didn’t get a picture of my cake. :)
