I feel like this place is a staple of the Boiling Springs community…My White and Orange goldfish, Sun and Moon, were purchased from here when the COVID-19 pandemic had begun. When our school year had abruptly ended, I looked into hobbies. Aqua-scaping interested me so I started my search at Pet World. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable on his aquatic plants, substrates, filtration systems, and fish. Because of this, the help he was able to provide me in building an aquatic landscape was unfathomable. Both of my fish have now passed due to my own error, which brings me sorrow. Sometimes, I will just walk in and spend time in the fish room (a beautiful dimly light area in the store illuminated by vast tanks filled with fresh and saltwater fish). If you stop by, make sure you say hello to PJ, a very intelligent and welcoming Blue-and-Gold Macaw.

Extremely happy with the prices and selection of items in this store. There's a lot of stuff in there for such a small store, but the best part was the prices. They are half the price of the big pet stores. Will definitely be going here for now on. And if you are a fish lover, there is a huge selection of fish.

I'm so so pissedI visited out of curiousity and went to find a Bearded Dragon, so dark you can barely see her markings. There was a much larger bearded dragon hogging literally everything. Light, food, you name it. Even though they had SO many free tanks.She is going to the vet soon, but I already know she has yellow fungus, parasites, tail rot, and damaged scales.I would have never spent a penny if it wasn't for her.

Took Alli in to be groomed 12 weeks after having 5 puppies. Her hair was matted and tangled. They did a great job on her and made sure she was perfect when we left. I would definitely recommend them to others.

My wife & I have gotten 3 (rat) boys from this store. The owner is a nice guy. He is a jokester & if you aren’t aware of that it can come across the wrong way. The macaw greets you when you walk through the door. Some people love him, some don’t. But we like him. The owners wife is a very nice lady that absolutely loves animals. They have a surprisingly large selection of animals & products. My wife joked & says I can’t go back because every time I go in I come out with another rat haha. The animals seem happy & healthy. We haven’t had any issues with our babies. All I can really complain about is the prices. The cages are cheaper online for the exact same cage. But I’d rather pay more when it comes to small businesses. All in all, I recommend.

I am very disgusted with what just happened to me...place closes at 6. I pull up at 5:50!! The individual inside ran to lock the door while I was approaching the door and tried to act like he didn't see me. It is 2023!! I shouldn't have to explain that I'm a fellow Airforce VET to receive service in spite of SKIN TONE!!! I just wanted to get some fish!! I'm sure it wasn't the owner...I met him...Cranky old VET, but means well...at least well enough to know that GREEN is the ONLY color that really matters!!!

Very clean healthy tanks. Veteran owned. Privately owned. Animals all are healthy and there's many options for fish. There's many other pet supplies. Even cool fossils and scuba diving finds displayed. The owner was pleasant to chat with as well. Great little shop just to bring the kids to see fish and animals or to shop! Check it out!

My favorite store to buy stuff for my aquariums. When I first started my aquariums they told me how to do everything. The prices are good and the fish are healthy. I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon because they have good prices but I have had a lot of fish and plants die. Everything that I have bought frome this store is still going strong. Must go check it out!!!

I went on Wednesday to get some new fish and the lady working wouldn't give them to me. She said I would have to wait an hour until she got done feeding all the animals. It was early because I work third shift (8:45am) but the store said they open at 8 and the open sign was on. I live in NC and definitely won't drive back. I've never been refused a purchase before.

Bought two fish 160$. Died in 3 days. Called for help in replacing or get refund. He couldn't careless. Said his fish were fine. He said it was my tank that killed them. What a disappointment he is. My tank is fine. Had it over 36 years. Our fish die of old age not lack of care. He didn't care about anything but the money. He is rude as well. anyone who doesn't care care about customer satisfaction shouldn't be in business. First time visiting this place and last. Do yourself a favor take your business to a place that cares about you your choice in pets and your satisfaction. It isn't this pace. Pitiful

Where do I start? My family and I walk in and are immediately greeted by a parakeet that seems older and has a bit of hair loss on his chest. After walking the store- which is dirty- I spot a beautiful parrot sitting on top of its cage. The worker heard me talking about this bird and walks away instead of approaching me. I guess, she was too busy stuffing her bra of paper towels and holding rats than dealing with customers. I politely ask if the parrot is for sale and she rudely lets me know that it is “her pet”. Okay, great? Next, comes my wife asking about a bearded dragon that they had in a tank, large and gorgeous! She lets us know that it is “her pet”… are there any pets in the store that you can adopt????Overall rating- 0 stars but I can’t put that. Customer service was awful and the animals looked depressed and like they wanted to escape their lives.

**‼️**I absolutely 💟Love💟 this store**‼️**With such a wife variety of fish to choose from, and the owners being an older man and his wife are super nice and helpful; just be respectful and they will get you anything you need or tell you anything you wanted to know.They are really good at keeping their inventory updated regularly but haven been told by his wife it's hard sometimes to get fish in.Also love the variety of different supplies that they have that you would need for the different types of animals that they have in the store such as fish, baby tortoises (if available in stock), frogs, etc.**‼️**All around best pet/supply store one stop shop for all your needs in Spartanburg County**‼️**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you want to know anything anything at all about fish or your aquarium this is the place to go. If I had not went there and talked with the owner I have would have lost all of my African cichlids which are very expensive fish. He is the most knowledgeable person I know and if I ever need help this is where I always go. He is the best and has been in the fish business for over 25 years, so he knows what he's talking about

Visited walked in didn't see anyone when entering walked around seen a person cleaning tanks said hello never got a response back.seen another person ask him a question but he said he's only comes to play with the animals wasn't sure where the employee went said they where just cleaning a tank .waiting a few minutes walking around again but Noone ever showed up so we left .will return when I have more time wanting to start a fish aquarium an they had some beautiful fish .

I love going to aquarium stores where the fish are greatly taken care of. There aren't many these days, but this place is one of the remaining few. Great selection of fish, not just the norm big box fish. Can tell the owner has been doing this a very long time. Since moving here, I try to stop by at least once every two weeks to see what's new. Reasonably priced also.

Get to know Wolfgang, he is an animal care expert with fish and reptiles and birds. Don't let his demeanor rub you the wrong way, he is genuinely an amazing person who truly cares about animals. I have 2 chameleons from him and about 35 fish and I love them all

Make sure whatever you buy you want to keep even if it's broken. I paid 120 bucks for a water pump for my koi fish tank. I used the pump for not even one whole day and the pump malfunctioned during the night and killed everyone of my fish. Tried to return the pump after telling them what happened they refused to return my money and told me the pump works fine. I guess I'm lying so now I'm out of 130 bucks and 5 koi fish thanks alot I definitely won't be back

Took my dog to be groomed there for the first time today and they did a fantastic job! He has major anxiety with mail clippings but they worked with him and made him feel as comfortable as possible. Will recommend to anyone and plan to use them again!

This business was set to close at 6pm, but the rep locked the front door 10min before 6pm while my husband was walking to the front door and ducked away as if he didn't see him. Very disappointing.

I've been an aquarist since I was a boy, and I'm 65. My wife purchased 2 Discus for $180, we put them in a tank with other discus, they were dead in 3 days. Owner says, no guarantee, your tank must be bad. PH, ALL OTHER FISH FINE.. Avoid this place.

An unbelievable experience was had today. I took my dog of 11 years in for a routine grooming. My husband spoke with the owner of Boiling Springs Pet World and made the appointment with ease. We took him in for a routine grooming and was met with an unbelievable unprofessional experience. After dropping my dog off, the groomer began asking if he ever had ear infections and manually plucking hair from his ears before I even filled out an information card. I ask what time to pick him up and I was told they would call but to please bring cash, because "they are Americans". Yes that whole sentence confused and confounded me. I was called by the groomer within an hour and told I need to pick my dog up because he had "crate cough", and that they would be doing a quick grooming job on him to make sure he didn't infect other dogs. My dog has never had such a thing, and I took him to a vet immediately to make sure, it was confirmed that he did NOT have such a thing. Not only did the groomer insist that she be tipped, but I received a dog with a jagged cut and no cologne. Needless to say, we will not be patronizing this establishment due to the unprofessional behavior presented. She was right about one thing, "we are Americans", so with that I choose to exercise my right where to spend my money.
