these people are very friendly. my dog needed a last minute groom i called up there and they were able to fit me in with no problem. i told ty what i wanted and he did not fail at giving me just that. they were even so kind enough to show my how to get 20% off my first groom with them through the petco app. i definitely recommend going here if you dog needs grooming!

Employees were nice, but they needed more employees to assist customers. The only employee available was also running cash register, so others had to wait until 1 other employee finally stopped what she was doing and came to help. I went to buy fish. Not a good variety. However, the fish I bought have all lived so far and it's been over 2 weeks.

It doesn't matter if I'm just doing a walk in nail trim or a full drop off service, I always get treated respectfully & professionally. They take extra time & care with my 1 dog who is scared of everything. My dogs are happy campers coming here

I want to give a shoutout to "Steven" at Petco. I have a new Bernedoodle puppy and needed advice on dog food. Steven was very helpful and was able to explain the benefits of different brands and their quality. He took the time to walk me around store, show me around and also gave me advice. I really appreciate it!You do not find this in an employee very often in todays times. Please take the time to thank him for me and my puppy.

Got us in on a busy Saturday. Grooming instructions weren't relayed properly and our puppy was shaved. Took about 4 hours for a 6lb puppy. We didn't even recognize him because he was shaved when he was supposed to be trimmed.

I took off 2 stars because you have to pay .10 for a stupid bag. That is ridiculous. I understand trying to cut down on the amount of bags but that is just crazy. I watched a lady in front of me have several small items and there was no way to carry all of that without a bag. Your prices include enough to cover the cost of a bag (which is no where near .10 each). If they don't then raise prices but don't charge extra for a bag.

Nice place, a few of their aminals were in distress though. Had to point out a betta fish in milky water and a mouse that was running himself into a heart attack trying to escape the cage, but good selection and overall clean and nice place. Not enough employees on hand though. 1 for training 1 on the floor and 1 at the register, so if you have a question or are trying to save an animal in trouble it's really hard to find an associate to talk to. Other than that, I thought it was great. Also a restroom marked for customer use would be nice. Maybe I missed it, but it's OK, I just hiked up on a hydrant lol. Not really. Haha

Rat cages were filthy! Feces all over sides of cage and in their food dish. Disgusting. One of the rats looked sick. I called and spoke to a "manager". Excuses given, was told they were "just" cleaned. Well, that's the second time rat cages were in this condition. Unsanitary, I feel bad for the poor rats. Need to address this. Don't think I will take another chance here. Also, employees not very friendly or knowledgeable.

We went there for some fish. Their tanks are kept clean and the fish have been healthy. Oh, we also picked a couple of plants for the aquarium too. Those have done well also.

I love the products that are offeredas well as services and the staff are sometimes knowledgeable. As a chinchilla mom i do not like the fact that they sell animals with either little knowledge or false information. We are stewards of the animals we keep and getting false information from the seller on how to care for them is very sad.

Took my doodle here, checked on him two hours later to be told he’d be done in an hour. Showed up an hour later and they had not even STARTED on his grooming. They had bathed him, cut his nails…. Three hours. They had him (he’s 20 weeks old, so he’s a puppy) drying off in a kennel in the back for two hours. So I took him home, still wet, with NO grooming done and still had to pay $60. I’m baffled. Especially considering I had To make an APPOINTMENT to even get him in? So you’d think they’d be able to handle it. Four hours for grooming is absurd.

They have a good supply and variety. I was able to find what I needed for my bearded dragon. They have been out of frozen mice for weeks though and that's a bummer. Great customer service!

It's rare anymore that you have a customer experience that blows your mind. Hats off to Tiffany at the Simpsonville Petco. She went above and beyond to make sure that my shopping needs were met. She was informative and far beyond helpful and kind. I hope that Petco values what a tremendous employee they have in her.
