The Spartanburg Food Lion is a great little grocery store. It's not big and fancy like the super expensive ones, but it's got what you need and for a great price. Jordan & Dawson are exceptional customer service ambassadors, and deserve a shout out (and a raise!) !!! 😉😁We save money & have a good experience nearly every time we go! Sometimes are way busier than others, but if you go at the right time, you can get in & out no issues. We highly recommend this location!

This place is always busy it seems. I usually swing by after work and it's usually busy. Lines are not terrible though. All the regular stuff you think you find in a grocery. They have a decent deli, produce, and meat dept. I like the food lion grocery layout. Easy to find and get. I don't shop for groceries often so not familiar with any BOGO or specials they run. Usually find em online if you check. They have a loyalty card thing and it gives a certain amount off the shelf price.

The biscuits are better then used to be. Just hate when they don't chop the saugage into small pieces in the gravy.

I purchased Cube Steak. It rang up as a TBone Steak. When I brought it to the cashier's attention, she matched the skus & dismissed me. No manager. No call to the Meat Dept. No type of follow-up whatsoever. Those who have worked in retail know what happened. The cube steak was mislabeled, which led to mispriced, by the Meat Dept, who wasn't paying attention. In turn, the cashier felt if the skus matched then WTH! Cube steak is typically cut from sirloin & tenderized with a mallet. TBone steak is cut from the short loin & is a higher-grade, better cut of meat. I don't care if the TBones are on sale. Even on sale, it would be higher than cube steak. I care about proper labeling, freshness dates, price & customer service. I WON'T BE SHOPPING AT THIS FOOD LION, OR ANY OTHER, ANY TIME SOON! If Food Lion employees cannot properly tag the products they are handling, God only knows what consumers are actually getting!

Great bargains, affordable Deli, cha-ching brand is super cheap and good. Baggers put refrigerated and frozen goods in bleu bags so you know that you need to get those item out of the hot car first . Usually disability carts are available, and baggers help you take goods to the Car when you ask them.Use mvp Card for good deals. And clip coupons to your mvp card at the kiosk at the entrance

The store was very clean. The bathrooms we immaculately maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The 2 gentlemen that were in the butcher space were extremely friendly and had great senses of humor.

So I bought a 4 pk of bone in pork chops Friday for a Sunday supper, when I opened it up Sunday it stunk! Spoiled for sure, I won't be buying meat from this Food Lion ever again. I didn't save the receipt so I just threw them away. What a waste of money!!! 😡

I usually work here doing Instacart until yesterday won’t be going back hate that bc I need the money but it is what it is !!! I give my 4 stars to the manager I believe I was going to get assaulted or rob and she was so fast to make sure I was safe and the employees very caring and understanding , really love to shop for peoples but the location is not safe a lot going on so closed to the hwy ;if they carjacked you they have so many ways to split , I’m so glad my intuition was on point been rob before also I have past street knowledge maybe I don’t look smart but been there in very bad situations before to reach me now what to look for !!! So be in look out lady’s good luck and thank you management for a fast response to my situation

A nice selection with a small town flair. We are so grateful to have this Food Lion within a close proximity to where we live. They offer a nice selection of produce and various household items. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The store is always kept clean and the inventory has always been adequately stocked. We default here because of its ease of access that you can't find in the larger shopping areas.

Food Lion. What can I say. My mother always said if I can't say nothing nice don't say nothing at all. But I never really listened to my mother because she was always talking bad about everyone. And had she shopped at Food Lion, they would be next on her list. Not that the parking isnt very accessible and not that the store isn't super clean because it is. And the staff is friendly. However when it came time to pay for the groceries I walked out of that place feeling like a Lion had been in my back pocket. One that didn't eat gazelles, or warthogs. That particular lion eats dead presidents. So if you're super hungry and you want to be really broke. And the gas prices hasn't done it already. Go to food Lion and they will finish the job.

Store is never stocked, but the customer service and employees are great! I hate I'm leaving the area. If they could keep the store stocked I'd make the drive. I work in retail so I'm all for great customer service, so it's definitely worth the drive. I just like to do all my shopping in one place. I don't have time to go from store to store.

The only thing that's really going well for this Food Lion is the employees and the customer service. For the most part when I go, cashiers are friendly and helpful. I hope that Food Lion keeps up the good work on that end. On the other hand, I have three main problems with this Food Lion that need to be improved:1. PRICE CHECK PLEASE! The prices that you see on the shelf do not match the prices when it's time to check out. I have this problem almost every time I go to Food Lion and it is so wrong. How can Kombucha be advertised as 2 for $5 for example and then when I get to the check out each bottle costs $2.99. How can chicken wings be advertised at $8.99 then ring up for $12.99?If you don't pay attention to the prices that ring up when you get to the checkout (especially if you have a lot of items) you risk getting ripped off big time. I've discovered that in order to avoid this from happening, I have to write down every single price for every item I purchase which is not something I should have to do.2. EMPTY SHELVES IN A FOOD DESERT. On the weekends especially I've found shelves to be bare in Food Lion. The egg and dairy sections and the soda sections seem to have major supply issues and this speaks to poor management. It is important that shelves be adequately stocked since this Food Lion is located in a food desert and is the only option for miles for many residents in Roebuck. This makes me think that Food Lion doesn't care very much for its customers.3. WHERE IS THE SELF CHECKOUT? Finally, in this day and age, what grocery store does not have self checkout? Food Lion is way way way behind when it comes to the technology front. Even Costco has self checkout now for goodness sakes! Checkout could be so much more efficient with a few self checkout kiosks. How can you say you spent all this money on renovation but there is no self checkout? All you did was put in new flooring, some new signs and new shelving? Come on!This Food Lion is in much need of improvement. Please, please, please! It is imperative that things improve given that this is the only grocery store option for miles for citizens of Roebuck. Customers should not be getting ripped off or having to deal with the shelves lacking essential items. Finally, self checkout would also be a plus. Not everyone wants to stand in line these days especially when they only have a few items to purchase.

They never HAVE anything. If you only want half the items you came for this is the place for you. Obviously the corporate suits aren’t smart enough to rectify this ongoing issue. Food lion can’t keep up with demand at all. Ingles and Publix are way better at keeping stock.

Not as great as it used to be ...with the empty shelves the more expensive items are being pushed over to the shelves with the cheaper-marked prices. When you go to checkout and see the real price on what you grabbed as more expensive than you expected it to be, the associates go to check and then act like it's your fault instead of apologizing. The down-talking tone is uncalled for and unnecessary...now I can understand one item being in the wrong place, sure. I've managed retail and know all about that, but when it's an entire stock of more expensive product continuously placed in the cheaper products' spot in several areas of the store, that appears more to be the fault of the employees, and it's deceptive. I let them know every time because I price through the store as I shop and total up before ever getting to the register. Food Lion is the only place I ever have to put things back and it's gotten worse over time. I've seen this at several Food Lion stores in the upstate SC area. Please do better.

I love Food Lion! The prices are great the meat is good quality and the customer service is good. Location is good and their brand called cha ching I just love be sure the quality is good and the price is right. I wish they hadn't moved everything around recently because now I'm having trouble finding things. But all in all a great local store to shop for groceries. Thank you

This is a decent place to shop for your groceries. It can be a little pricey for some items but that seems to be the nature of how things are going these days. They do seem to have trouble keeping their shelves stocked but it does seem like they are trying.
