I’ve been taking my dogs here for the past few years and I’ve never had a bad thing to say about this place. They go above and beyond each time they watch my pups. They’re even there for unfortunate events, such as my dog passing while there (no fault of their own). They handled everything gracefully and treated my pup like their own. They ensured me every thing was taken care of and held on to my boy until I was able to return from out of town. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you so much for being there for my buddy during such a rough time as well as treating him just like family throughout his life. You guys did right by my boy, Django.

Couldn’t say more about how lovely the staff is at this location and how beautiful our Ambrose turned out! He previously was literally hacked up by another local groomer so they had their work cut out for them. He came home perfectly fluffed up, rounded and cut just right plus he was happy as could be when he walked out from the back which speaks loads of how they handle them behind closed doors. We can’t wait to take him back. ❤️🐾

It's a new day at The Pet Village. In August 2019, it was taken over by new owners who have gotten rid of all live animal sales - no more puppies, kittens, fish, rats, etc., and gotten rid of all the random pet supplies. The new owners come from the animal rescue world and approach the business differently. They now only offer grooming, bathing and cageless boarding services. Their focus is on the basics instead of trying to be all-things to all-people and not being awesome at any of them.

Awesome groomers. I use them for all our World Class German Shepherds!!!!The complaints I have read on this business are not legitimate complaints but the result of lazy pet owners whom blame others for their own mistakes!The best groomers I have ever used and they handle all my GSD's perfectly and never a risk of a bite! If they can do that then they can work with any breed if your animal is properly trained and discipined!

We had just moved here and taken our 3 standard poodles to be groomed, the 1st time, 2 of the 3 were completely butchered with uneven hair everywhere and the groomers did not listen to what we wanted and messed up on the cut. It’s not just a let it grow, it has taken months to get the style we wanted. The owner Karen called the next day after seeing the pictures to apologize saying it was a lack of communication on her part and she was so sorry and it wouldn’t happen again. We like to give people the benefit of the doubt so we made another appointment and took our dogs back for a 2nd time. When we picked up our 3 dogs, 1 of our dogs was again butchered, uneven hair everywhere and had such bad razor burn on his neck he had been bleeding for 2 days. He has been so uncomfortable and in pain that even the burn/itch ointment isn’t helping. They might do ok for a shave down, but I would not take my dog there if they need an actual style. Karen and the other groomers seem very sweet but for a style I say stay away! Needless to say the prices are more expensive than what we paid before and the service is far worse.

Don’t take your dog here for grooming. The worst cut my dog has ever had and will never go back. We only went here because our normal groomer was so booked out so we settled on Pet Village because they had an appointment. What a mistake we made. Just look at my dog. This is only the side you can see. He is shaved to his skin in several spots. Unbelievable that they could do this bad of a job. Take my word. Don’t go there.

Jaxon is one happy boy! AND cuter than ever, thanks to his grooming from Pet Village!! First Gina rescued him from a backyard breeder and got him to me, now she's continuing to take care of our boy. Thank you, Gina and Erika for all you do!!If you want your furbabies to look (almost) as good as Jaxon (I might be biased), take them to Pet Village!

We LOVE this place. They are awesome!! Our dog Maddie has received the best haircuts and has her own room when she is boarded. It's super cute the way it is decorated. It almost looks like they are on vacation in Charleston on Rainbow Row or in Key West with the colorful walls.I recently was there picking up 4 cats for a friend who was out of town and the owners were super helpful in explaining their medicines to me. They even threw in some extra food! While I was there, I even noticed a community TV was on for the dogs to watch. It was a cooking show that was showing how steaks should be cooked on the grill. LOL!We will continue to use their services! Thank you, Pet Village!

My dog Carson is a special needs blind rescue dog with a lot of skin issues due to his medication. Gina and Caren are wonderful co-owners and really care about the dogs who come in. They make everyone feel welcomed and Carson loves the extra attention he receives. The bathers do an excellent job getting him squeaky clean and pay fine attention to detail. Tolli is amazing at the Furminator de-shed treatment and they use the highest quality shampoos and conditioners along with it. Carson used to shed ALOT but now we can go an entire month or two without any loose fur. They also do a great job grinding his nails short and they are really smooth to the touch afterwards. The Pet Village prices are very reasonable and they are very accommodating too! Check them out this is a lovely family owned grooming and boarding business, you will not be disappointed!!

I got 2 dogs bathed and deshedded for 160$ with a tip and one of them was a husky. They both came out beautiful, shiny and smelled so good. Not to mention the staff was so nice. The inside was cute and I’m definitely coming back.

Great first grooming experience with my dog Goose. She is a Great Pyrenees so definitely not an easy dog to groom. Everyone is so kind and great to deal with. Goose left looking fantastic and, most importantly, happy! I’ll be back.

We love this place! We used to go take our babies to a big name place and it was so impersonal. Their prices are reasonable and they clearly love all the animals that come to them. My babies always look cute and aren't traumatized by the time I pick them up unlike with the big name guys.

My pup was left unattended, hungry, and locked in a cage for hours because someone "forgot" to call me to pick up after a grooming appointment. When the owner, Gina, was notified of the issue, she did not bother to call me to apologize. I never heard from her or any member of her staff. I went in person to speak to her and she was very defensive asking me if she wanted me to fire someone. I never asked for that or even a discount on my service and I had paid in full the day before. Just wanted her to be aware, that as the owner, she is ultimately responsible for the pets in her care and forgetting about an animal is inexcusable and that I hoped this never happens to anyone else. Gina clearly doesn't care about fur babies and lacks general customer service skills. All she had to do was reach out to me herself and apologize for the issue but she was unable and unwilling to do that. Her attitude as a business owner is deplorable and I hope that no one else has to encounter her. I would not leave my pets in her care and will not be returning.

Finally!!! A groomer that knows how to groom doodles! I tried Pet Village back in December after an awful experience with a well known pet store grooming service that left my beautiful springer doodle shaved due to a groomer that did not know enough about the doodle breed of dog. Pet Village did a great job. They knew about doodles and knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, someone talked me into trying a different groomer, that was closer to home when my dog needing to be groomed the next time. It was another awful experience and I learned my lesson! That groomer also decided my dog needed to be shaved. They obviously did not do their research about doodle hair either! But then, I went back to Pet Village. THEY understand doodles and their hair. THEY understand owners of doodles (and other breeds). THEY did a marvelous job! They will have my business from now on.

Absolutely wonderful! They took the very best care of our fur babies while we went out of the country. We got daily updates and pictures and picked up clean dogs so all we had to worry about was getting them back home. Thank you so much for everything!! We will furever use Pet Village for boarding!

We had a very unique experience with Pet Village. Our sweet Mister was with them while we were out of town on vacation. Unfortunately, while we were away Mister passed away. The employees of PV were so sweet and so accommodating. They helped us handle things while we were away and they genuinely cared for us during such a confusing time. While our experience certainly was not the norm, we can't say enough good things about how good to us they were and we are so appreciative of their kindness.

Best decision ever for my fur baby’s needs. I live in TN but visit the area frequently and my little Yorkie needed groomed. With several to choose from, I’m so glad I chose Pet Village. I’m very picky yet somewhat indecisive at times and they did exactly what I needed. I travel a lot and Precious has to be hotel and travel ready all the time. The groomers were amazing, caring and still very professional and the price was very easy on the pocketbook. I highly recommend Pet Village.

I live in the Raleigh, NC area and was travelling on vacation with my senior dogs (9yr old basset/beagle and 11 yr beagle) and had a planned weekend visit with my sister in Rock Hill. We both have a dog that doesn't get along well with other dogs so I opted to board mine. The day before we were to arrive, my beagle ate a foreign object during a walk resulting in an ER vet visit in Boone, NC and a follow up ER vet visit for an ultrasound the same day we were to check in at Pet Village. My beagle was sent home on medications, two probiotics, and RX food. I called Pet Village expecting them to tell me they couldn't accommodate all of these changes but they were willing! I brought both dogs, explained the medication and feed schedule upon arrival, and my dogs were well taken care of. I called the day after drop off to check in and also received a photo texted to me. As I usually travel with my dogs, I would not hesitate to leave them with Pet Village the next time I'm in Rock Hill. Thank you for the great service!

If I could give a 0 star I would!!! I took my chihuahua there for the first time, she bit the lady who took her, along with me, which has never happened. When I pick her up she seems very lethargic so I carry her outside. Well we get home and I set her down in the yard and my poor baby is limping! I will never take her back to this place. Obviously she didn’t trust them(she bit) and something happened to her. When I called all they said was oh she he eyes on her the whole time. I don’t trust this place. My dogs will never go back.

When we saw that Pet Village was under new ownership we decided to walk in and take a look around. Not only were we impressed but relieved as well. We had had a bad experience with the previous owners and felt that they were in the business of selling any and all animals as fast as they could. Under the new ownership, the store is a totally different experience. We have had our dog groomed there three times with wonderful results. Biscuit loves her spa days and has been happy when we picked her up. We love that they have animals in their store that are available for adoption and truly care about finding animals a home. Their boarding area looks like a great place for dogs to stay.

I have been bringing my pug here for a while now and am extremely pleased. He hates(and this is putting it mildly) having his nails done and they do a great job! Their prices are really reasonable as well. I love that they communicate with me to let me know how things went during his appointment. They are also extremely nice each and every time that I go. This was our first visit for our 2 large dogs. We needed them bathed and nail trim. First of all, the entire staff that I had contact with were absolutely wonderful, professional, and friendly.When we picked up our dogs, they were happy, beautifully brushed, and best of all, smelled great! And not just temporary dog cologne great,,,it lasted the entire week!So yes,,five stars,,,and a high recommendation from long time animal lovers who have tried many places in York county over many years. Wow! All I can say is,”Wow!” We took our pups here today for the first time and I am BEYOND pleased. We have a husky mix and long haired chihuahua that need routine maintenance and they have done a fabulous job on both of them. They both look, and smell amazing! We also brought our other two babies just for nail trims and they accommodated us without a hitch! We will definitely be returning for our grooming needs from here on out.
