It's nice they open at 7AM every day. What isn't nice is all the empty space on all of the shelves and so many items mis-stocked in the wrong spot. I came to get some needed medicine as early as possible as I had run out the night before. This store was nasty and torn apart on this particular Tuesday morning, and the parking lot hasn't seen a broom or street sweeper in ages. My regular DG looks better Saturday night after an all-day holiday blowout. Obviously, this store needs staffing. I could not locate a single item that I had driven 15 minutes to buy, including the medicine I came to get, so I walked out empty-handed.

The picture I’ve attached is representative of a majority of the aisles in the store. Can’t blame the employees they usually only have one person working at a time. A majority of the aisles are also cluttered with carts of product ready to go on the shelves. This is really the most “convenient” store to visit in Ridgeville, as the closest grocery store is at least 20 minutes away, but don’t waste your time coming here. They probably don’t have what you’re looking for anyway.

4/23/2023 at 1:27 pm . first enter the store to see female employee literally dragging her feet coming towards me with her mouth WIDE open yawning very nasty sight. Then while waiting to check out a white elderly lady mistakenly put her debit card in the cash slot and asked for help, the man who I guess is a manager slammed his head down on the counter put his hands over his head like he was trying not to attack her then he and the lazy employee proceed to humiliate and disrespect this women in front of everyone. Ive had issues with this man before but I can handle him this elderly lady couldn't. The worst part of all is by me being who I am ,had I intervened I would have been at fault by today's society. The other select customers were not treated like I was in the past and like this lady was today. I will be contacting corporate and insisting on the cameras being reviewed and I hope this lady has family who will do the same.

Easy access,but lines are long most times,only one cashier and most of them have carts of stock not out. shelves are empty and you can't get down an isle with a buggy because of stock stacked all over the place.

Cant even walk in the isles. It's so packed with everything they are putting on the shelves. More than 2 isles were blocked off couldn't even go down them. Hardly could push a buggy around let alone walk through the store.

The store was a hot mess! Boxes literally in every isle except the toy isle so bad that you couldn't see anything. I thought I might had walked into their store room instead of their actual store. The clothes that were supposed to be 70% off were just thrown in a great big pile like they were getting ready to trash them. My 4yr old even said mommy why would someone do that to their clothes. Dollar General in general is a great store but the one in Ridgeville corporate should take a serious look at what's going on.

If I could put negative stars I would. This is the worst DG I have ever been in. There is nothing on the shelf. The items are either on the floor or in a buggy or they are out. There is 3 to 4 people there working and a line of 12 waiting to check out but only one cashier. The other 3 most be wondering around the store looking for a window to lick. I hate if I need anything have to try there before I go somewhere else that’s 15 more minutes drive. I will no longer go there for anything. I would rather drive the extra 15 minutes and pay the extra in fuel than give them my business. I will do my best to tell everyone I know not to go there or any other DG.

You can get some really good values at the Dollar General, but they do need to hire some more staff. There was only one person at the checkout and only one person working the floor. The checkout line was about 12 deep.

Aisles and aisles are blocked due to lack of people stocking. Short handed, hire someone just to do stocking. Makes store look trashy. I've seen sites in the ghetto cleaner than this one and more items on the shelves. You can't even get to the Halloween stuff and forget about finding decent cat or dog food or cat litter. Not going to happen

I often shop at this store. There aren't many selections in Ridgeville. Every time I go into this store there is nothing stocked. I was told that they didn't project the store to be this big so they could only order so much and that it would be reevaluated after a year of being open. It has been over a year and it is still the same way. It is nasty. Nothing it ever stocked properly. The boxes of unpacked items are so cluttered in this store I couldnt walk around much less push a buggy. I shopped the other day for 45 minutes only to get to the register and the cashier told me that while she was dusting being the counter she accidently unplugged something because the registers were down and she couldn't get her manager on the phone. She made another employee walk the store and ask everyone to leave because "she couldn't think" with customers in the store. I had to leave my FULL buggy and drive to the Jedburg store. My question is why are you dusting behind a register when you have 200 boxes cluttered all of your store. This store looses so much money on a daily basis because it is in such high command.....do better Dollar General!

I absolutely love the manager that is there now, Lori, I have been pleased everytime I walk in. The employee's are awesome, friendly, and always pleasant. I'm I there sometimes 2 x'so a day, and usually every other day. By far the best, and cleanest, we'll stocked Dollar General I've been in.

The location is convenient if you are in the Ridgeville area and do not want to drive all the way to Summerville to shop. They stay stocked well compared to other DG I have gone to. The staff is sometimes short and wait times in line suffer for that, but the cashier is usually quick and moves through all the people in no time.

The store is a wreck. The shelves are bare and the isles are blocked with stock that has not been put out. There is never more than one cashier even if the line is backed up. Poor management to say the least.

What can I say, not much different than any other Dollar General....cluttered, unorganized, half empty shelves, dirty with trash scattered all over, and where are the employees? We only saw one cashier in the entire store. Manager of this location should be ashamed, take some pride in your work! No options for us out here, either nasty Carter's gas station or this nasty Dollar General. Come on Wal-Mart, build in Ridgeville!

Never in my life have I been so embarrassed or my child so scared as today while trying to shop at this Dollar General. One associate followed me out of the store pointing and accusing me of stealing my own hat, which I wore in the store, called me a liar and then refused to look at the security video to prove her accusations. I get shoplifting is a big problem, but you should probably know what you are talking about if you are going to accuse people. Will never, ever go back.

They close early on Friday nights.i Needed diapers . Showed up at 9:27pm .after driving a long way. Living out in the country you only have so many options. And when you pull up after seeing they are open until 11pm and the rude lady said they closed at 9pm Is a real disappointment.. ended up driving to the one in harleyville sc.. they are under remolding and the isle are a mess due to that. . The staff located me in the right direction for what I was looking for and where very helpful. And apologetic that the other store was closed and that they are under going a remodel .. will go here on 178 from now one instead the ridgeville store located on 78..

Love the deals, overall products available and everyday low prices but everytime i go to any DG, it is always so messy, unorganized and with so much boxes and inventory blocking the aisles. It makes the customer experience so inconvenient.

Dont ask for help here. The employees are clearly "over it". Nothing but insults and smart aleck remarks from the staff. Hopefully Dollar General will look into that store or else that store is going to be loosing them business.

It was very very messy...they had a new shipment of stuff..and look like no place to put it....and they needed help to organize...I was looking for a bucket small but they only had 1 type...so I didn't get any...card game for kids

SOME OF THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. I DONT EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO GIVE BAD FEED BACK BUT EVERYTIME I GO IN THERE IT IS HORRIBLE. THE MANAGER IS A COMPLETE MORON AND WAS ON THE PHONE WHILE CASHIERING. THE NEXT TIME SHE IS BEING CASHIERED BY ANOTHER GIRL WHILE I SAT THERE FOR LIKE 10 MINUTES THEN SHE CASHIERED ME AND BEFORE I RAN MY CARD SHE LEFT.

It’s starting to get a little ridiculous now with this place they don’t never have anything on the shelves and now they are polite and all when you go in but when I go to the store I expect to buy something and with this place I can’t never buy anything because the shelves don’t have any merchandise and it’s not their fault at first I use to think because of the pandemic but now I think they just being lazy so please do better
