Very peaceful... can use some more spot lights out here.. still keep them doors locked 🔒 and have your self defense weapons on stand-by..it's not the people you should worry about.. it's the animals might come out them woods lol but this is the country (lowcountry). It'll definitely be nice if they had a gated vending machine in the middle with some benches.

Dirty and garbage cans all full . We had to do our break here so it was next to interstate. Just wish they would at least empty garbage cans.

It is rest area only for big trucks. Cars were not allowed to stay for overnight parking. There is a pilot gas station (15976 Whyte Hardee Blvd, Hardeeville, SC 29927) 13 miles away from this rest area. Where you can stop and relax for an overnight parking

Although there are no facilities. Thus is a great example how ALL states can provide at a minimum safe parking for big trucks not forcing truck drivers to have to park on side of roadway endangering all

First of all this parking area is designed for commercial vehicles only. Not a good area for passenger vehicles to park at all. This is an area designed to give drivers a break, since parking is scarce, once you get into georgia.They DO NOT HAVE RESTROOMS, nor any type of vending machines here. The parking area does have trash cans for you to put trash in. It is lit in certain spots for the night, security does come through once in a while, to make sure things are in order.This is basically a resting spot for truckers, if you were expecting anything else, there is an exit 3 miles from there going south with plenty of gas stations and food places.Hope this helps folks better to know this is not a regular rest area.

Being retired truck driver from DuPont you find yourself in a truck stop when you need to pull off and get a bite to eat and if you're in a car that's good places to sit down and enjoy yourself gaming rooms they have anything you need if you're trying to Road for camping trip they have laundromats there they have anything you need enjoy yourself at places like this especially if you're going south to the Carolinas there's a place in Cantley North Carolina exit 110 you love that place or it's 107 but you'll see a big sign they've got a big white house in there and they've got some beautiful attractions for tractor trailers in doors that you can see enjoy yourself and the iron skillet fantastic place

Truck only parking lot with no facilities. what exactly would have to be there to get one star. Pit traps and dinosaurs. Or just no pavement a sign in a bog of ubliet.

I got stranded here for 6 to 8 hours and it was HOT but truckers were very nice to me and my dog.
