We dined at Lilfreds a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was my mom's 75th birthday and the service was excellent. I've heard of the restaurant for years but I was so happy to finally experience it. I don't know anywhere in Columbia I can go for a four course dinner for $45. I started with the steak tartare and it was full of flavor. For the salad course I chose their cole slaw and it was perfection. My entree was the fresh pasta, my only complaint would have been a little more sauce, but it was good too. For dessert I chose the creme brulee and it smooth and creamy and perfectly sweet. This little restaurant in the middle of nowhere is a South Carolina gem. Make the drive.

My husband and I had Lilfred's cater for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and if I could give Lilfred's a 1,000,000 star review, I would. Wendy and Trent not only provided unbelievable dinners/appetizers/desserts, but they are very communicative and worked with us to make the perfect menus for our events including taking into account multiple dietary needs. We are not originally from South Carolina so it was difficult to know who to trust for catering, however from a recommendation from a friend we found Lilfred's and cannot say how happy we were that they catered our big day. Throughout the process it was obvious too that they are good people as well and a restaurant/company you can trust. We had countless compliments from our guests regarding the food, and are so happy that they loved it as much as we did too! If you are debating going to their restaurant or hiring them for an event, then look no further!

My husband and I have been wanting to try here since we moved to Sumter with the Air Force 2.5 years ago. We finally got to this weekend! It doesn't look like much from the outside in the little village of Rembert but it is a hidden gem for sure! We enjoyed every course that was put in front of us. Gratuity is included in your check and it was filled out on our slip when we paid for us so not a surprise. If you're looking for a nice, elegant dinner and have some money to splurge a little, I definitely recommend Lilfred's! Make sure to make a reservation!

Nice little dining spot. Starters of crispy pork and mussels were great. As were the crispy duck and shrimp and grits entrees. Salad and dessert were just okay. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique date night spot.

Do not let the appearance of this place deter you! It's so worth it! The building is old & looks run down, the interior is dark & dated, but that is easily overlooked after you've tasted the food. Party of 7. Everyone loved everything we got. Very reasonably priced for the quality & quantity. Menu changes seasonally, so you get what's freshly available. Our server made a couple "key mistakes" for fine dining (ie; placing a plate in front of the closer diner then reaching across that to put the farther diner's plate down), but otherwise was attentive & friendly. Definitely recommend!

We had reservations for 4 at 7:00p on Friday day 2/18/22. Received a call at 7:00 and explained we were running 15 minutes late. They were very accommodating and polite. When we arrived we were immediately seated with our wine list in hand. They offer a great menu with all options to include a three course meal. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we received excellent table service. This is a destination restaurant experience that must not be missed. The owners have kept the atmosphere excellent and traditional to Lilfreds. I am sure we are getting the same experience my great grandparents, grandparents, parents and family had many times in the past. The average person driving by don’t know what they are missing. We had a great time with our friends at our table and enjoyed seeing familiar faces from Camden that filled the room. Great job Lilfreds!

My husband and I visited tonight for our anniversary, and could not have been more pleased with our time there. The waitress was so sweet, and the food was absolutely delicious. The price point was also great for the amount of food received. We will definitely be returning.

Food was good, not great. Party of four, only one other table occupied when we arrived. Both young ladies we encountered we very nice.Each course came out slower than expected, the portions were very small.We stopped on the way home and got take out from somewhere else, we were still hungry.

Phenomenal. They have a 4 course special on Thursdays. $25 a person. I had seared tuna, a salad, a ribeye, and creme brulee for $25. Dinner for 2 for $50 at a fine dining restaurant is a steal. We will be back! Drinks and service were on point!

We went on Thursday night for the four-course meals. It was fabulous! Great selection everything prepared perfectly. We were very pleased with the portions and we thought the prices were very reasonable. The service was top-notch.The place was packed. If you haven't been on Thursday night or to Lilfreds lately you need to check it out.

I love the Trendy Thursday's! The 4 course meal for $25, you can't get anywhere. The service is outstanding! To have a restaurant that is not a corporation to rush you out so you can actually dine is awesome. I would definitely recommend calling to make your reservation.

Very friendly staff, food was fine. I would say it's good to go off the beaten path and feels special. Although I wasn't super impressed with the food, I feel the experience was worth giving it a try. The food was acceptable and unique in some aspects.

We went to Liffereds for our Aniversary. We were amazed at the Quality of their Food and service. We would recommend this resturant to anyone desiring quality and fantastic service. and food beyond any expectations. The quality is of the utmost in tast and service. Lilfred's has amazing food. You wouldn't expect a restaurant in this location to serve 5 star quality food. Highly recommended for anyone passing through. Make reservations, and dress more semi casual. It's not a shorts and t-shirt establishment, but I felt comfortable in nice jeans and a polo.

I dined there about 20 years ago as I was staying in Sumter. I have traveled North and South Carolina for 35 years at about 30 miles a year. I like fine dining for dinner. I loved the original 50 style atmosphere. I ate there Jan 16, 2019. The service was great and the house chardeney was very good. The mussels were excellent. I had the ribeye medium and it was hot and medium cooked. It was also a good size piece. It was maybe the best ribeye that I have ever had! I’m 72 years old. My guest had the duck and I tasted it. I’m not sure whether I will get the duck or the ribeye next time as both were excellent. The cream brûlée was perfect. Great prices. I’ll be back back!Walter

I have always heard loads of good words about Lilfred's so my expectations for a fine dining experience were kinda high. To make things even more exciting we decided to go with friends on New Year's Eve. Our friends said that you could bring your own wine and that they would charge you a corking fee ($15). So we got a big bottle to go with the dinner we were having. Not really knowing what the NYE menu would be, we decided to take several different types of wine to cover our bases.Upon arriving, I missed the front lot, and parked on the side street, not a big deal really, but my car is low and it was a little difficult to get into a good space. There was also not a very clear path from the side lot to the front door, but we managed anyway. Some very wet ground right in front that made me a bit nervous because it had not rained lately and I thought it may be from another source.Once inside the decor is very much like your old sytle den, lots of wood paneled walls and floors doing all kinds of fun slopes. The seating is comfortable , with small seating to the 8 top we shared. The server was very nice and presented the options very well.As a started I got the tomato/crab soup. It was barely room tempeature, still not bad, but it could have been warmer. At this point, I was unsure if the kitchen had prepared it this way or did it get cold. Our friends shared different started, with the palmetto cheese being a speciality, but was cold and had to be sent back.For my main course, I had the Ribeye steak medium (pink in the middle) and it was perfect, this steak was huge and tasted great! As a side I got the home fries (basically french fries) cooked in duck or truffle or duck/truffle oil. (sorry). But none the less it was a great meal!For dessert, we shared the creme brulee and it was cold and the way through! Big time fail for creme brulee because it is supposed to be both warm and cold together in each bite. Again, not sure were this failed, but the restaurant was not overly busy, because at this point there were only about 12 people in the place still dining.All in all, I still recommend it, but just not highly because for the amount of money we spent, the meal should have been nearly perfect in my opinion. Estimate on spending $25-50 per person.

Thank you to the staff at Lilfreds! The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding! My wife and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary last night and was totally surprised and thankful we chose Lilfreds for our special occasion! The food was exquisite! Very disappointed. Food was adequate, and service ok, but the food portion was very small. I ordered shrimp and grits as an entree. It was served in a small bowl, maybe a cup and a half of grits and six schrimp. Sald was just as small, and the menu very limited. Will not be back.

The mussel appetizer was fantastic. The Mahi was great. My wife had the ribeye with red wine sauce that was incredible, and the dessert was perfect. We'll be back soon!
