A favorite of the locals. Get the garlic blue crab!Family owned spot. Even though this place is about 45 mins away from where I live, I get in my car at least 2x a month for the garlic blue crabs.The seafood always tastes fresh. The seasoning is always on point. I love seafood and after searching for the best in the area, I am 100% sure this is my number one seafood place!The prices are competitively lower then some of the other local places. I am sure I have tried most of them.Lots of parking. Outside seating available. I guess you could bring a dog but I wouldn’t.#TTip: They have a food truck operated by a family member. If you don’t want to drive out that far to the store, follow them on Facebook.On the FB page. They post the location of the food truck- if it’s coming out. That’s the one thing I wish was better.The consistency of the food truck. It may show up on a Friday and the next time you see it is weeks later.As for food, I have always gotten the same quality at the truck as to what I have gotten at the store.

Down to earth seafood market offering fresh local fish, shellfish, and simple yet delicious fried fare. Really enjoyed the crispy fried local shrimp, the breading was well seasoned and not too thick. It was perfectly cooked and tender! The staff was also friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back and trying the garlic crabs!

Very friendly and we got our food fast, owner gave a sampler of garlic blue crab (to strong for us), 2 pc flounder and 12 pc shrimp with fries, cooked perfect but not seasoned well, trucks with trailers park in median.

Wear a shirt you'd commit a murder in because the smothered garlic crabs are OUT 👏🏽 OF 👏🏽 THIS👏🏽 WORLD👏🏽 You will be baptized in that garlic sauce and get it all over your face, your arms and your shirt. I got full and they gave me what i asked for unfortunately my eyes and my taste buds were not on point. The food was very bland! And they seem to have put pepper on my fries no salt or type of seasoning. However it was my first time and i don't think for the money i spent i will be ordering that again.

Visited on 10/26/2023.Shout out to Mark Wiens!! #Foodblobber. Everything; even down to the customer service was great. I drove 2hrs & 55mins away from my location for the Garlic blue crabs. I ordered (3)1/2 dozen boxes; Yes they don’t have restrooms, but forget that. Potty before you go, and bring your own hand sanitizer as I do everywhere. Red rice and shrimp were good too. Prices were. Reasonable!!!

Great place for fresh seafood. My wife and I shared the jumbo fried shrimp platter. Ample servings of shrimp and fries and I added a side of core slaw which was also very good. My daughter and her husband got the garlic butter crabs which looked amazing and they said tasted as good as it looked. Service was great and prices are reasonable. I'd give it 5 stars if it were a nicer place to eat but on fairness they are geared more towards takeout.

My hubby and I was visiting Savannah from Boston. While driving to Charleston for a side trip we stopped by Ravenel to try the garlic blue crab. They ran out for the day but made a special batch just for us. It was so nice of the owner. I will never forget the Southern Hospitality that she shown us. She even took a picture with me. The garlic crab was delicious. I think we will go back to SC again just for the crab. Thank you!

I went here when I was 12 years old, and now that I'm 57 I decided I would stop back since I was in town. The fried shrimp tastes exactly as it did when I was 12 years old. Wonderful flavor. Authentic Charleston food. Really sweet people working there too.

Use to love this place ! Drove over 1hr to purchase blue crabs . Went straight back home to heat them up and immediately smelled ammonia on the crabs . Which is a sign of spoiled seafood . I wasted over $40 plus gas . Extremely disappointed, tried to contact business but couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone .

Called ahead to obtain price of cooked, garlic blue crabs. When (someone else) arrived to pick up the order, the price has doubled to almost $55 per dozen of cooked blue crabs. Called the next morning and the owner was rude and tried denying what was quoted the morning before. TAKE IT FROM ME: if you decide to purchase, make sure you are told the correct amount because apparently, these people change their prices throughout the day.

Lord the garlic crabs are everything I live in New York but my home is here in south CAROLINA every time I go home I have to get the garlic crabs at least 3 times b4 I leave the south trust try them there great and the whole place and food are good

This review is for the food truck so sad they said they would be there at 2pm didn't show up till 3pm then I had someone order my food and I'm so done I ordered a garlic crab plate and a crab leg plate the sauce was way off and watery not like the actual store in ravenel then the crabs was tiny and my crab legs was over cooked never again and I've tried to support but quality is horrible

The absolute best seafood restaurant in town!!!! The absolute best!!! Their crabs are always fresh, delicious and plentiful! The staff are prompt, courteous and knowledgeable on their products. The restaurant maintains a high state of cleanliness. Parking is ample. The garlic crabs are out of this world!!!! Did I mention the garlic crabs...... Do not delay....call ahead and place your order today!!! You will thank me later.... Kudos, to the owner, manager, cook, servers, and staff! If I could give it 10 stars, I would give it 11.

It was OK. Garlic Butter Crabs are not in season right now and they cannot get crabs in right now. Expect a wait no matter what you are getting. Call ahead if you know what you want. The crabs are still my personal favorite.

1st time visiting, but loved it. I was told it would take 25-30 minutes for my food because they were busy and the wait time was accurate. However, the food was phenomenal. Flaky fried white fish, buttery scallops, and perfect fried local shrimp. The red rice was a killer side item as well.
