They're supposed to be a discounted grocery store, but I compared prices to Walmarts prices, and a lot of their stuff is higher than walmart!! I probably won't be back, to be honest.

I love going to save a lot because of the prices , but y'all need to pay attention to any of the deli items you might think of buying. I was gonna get a cake but unfortunately the one I picked up was molded and definitely killed my sweet tooth.

Inflation is hitting my pocketbook. I went in here to check it out. I was shocked. Some of the meat was dark grey blackish. That is concerning. I bought some lunch meat from a different refrigerator but it was spoiled. I'm not interested in shopping here except for possible canned items if at all. I'll pay the higher prices for quality food at Ingles.

Home of boot leather steaks. Never got a good steak here. I can get steaks here and then get the same at ingles and even cook them together and you can.tell which is which withou even knowing. These are so tough they must ofdied of old age.

I like the 3 day meat sales. Also can find meats that most stores do not carry, rabbit, alligator, frog legs etc. If only they carried breaded oysters!! I shop there every week. Nice people too. Glad they are there.

Can't believe how the prices of food something a person has to be able to get to live. It's just plain wrong. It's so sad when a parent has to choose to either try and buy a little food to put on the table for their families or pay the high rent to keep a roof over their heads or pay power and water to have lights and water to drink. To walk in a grocery store just makes you want to sit in the middle of the floor and cry. Because you know there's a lot of little children and elderly people going hungry because they can't afford to pay for high prices. Lord I pray it will soon get better. Some can't even afford to buy gas to get to work. It's a shame that old basement man fake and fraud Biden and his administration has forgotten about the American people and worried about sending millions and millions of dollars to foreign countries and not taking care of their own people. We the American People are hurting and struggling from paycheck to paycheck.

It was clean. Fair prices for what I needed to make chicken salad wraps: mayo, sweet pickle relish, eggs, jalapeno mustard, Greek yogurt (instead of sour cream for the potatoes) and some flour tortillas.. (we already had two chicken breasts. ) Oh yeah.. some mushrooms for grilling..

Great prices, parking is never an issue. Love that they always have a sale going on and that if you need further assistance the employees are always there to help. Love that they have a variety of stuff to choose from and that they are adding more hispanic items too.

Save A Lot is fantastic for basic staple shopping and we love the local meat offerings. We don't believe in supporting the massive meat processors who are killing their workers by ignoring Covid-19 guidelines. Save A Lot locally sourced meats fit with our personal ethics. Save A Lot has also installed a disinfectant wipe station right inside the door which is great to keep their customers healthy. I do worry about their workers though, because they are never wearing masks and they don't require masks for the customers. It puts both parties at risk and I worry because my husband and I both had Covid-19 back in February, before the government even admitted it was real. We got it from someone who had been to New Jersey over the holidays and brought it back with him. I don't wish this illness on anyone, and I would love to see Save A Lot at least protecting their employees. We'll still shop there, masked up,and keeping our hands clean, but I'd respect the management more if they showed more concern for their great friendly employees. They really deserve that kind of respect. Health and happiness to all!! 😷👍

The Save-A-Lot in Pickens is where I go to purchase some of the non-perishable foods that my children or I want. Other than that, I personally wouldn’t ever purchase any of the Meat products from there again. I purchased some Hamburger Meat a while back, and while the Meat I could see at the Store looked good, when I was preparing it for Supper I noticed that the Meat on the bottom had already started to turn Brown.

I would love for them to have more sugar free and low carbohydrate foods. Such as: splenda, fair life milk, sugar free flavored creamers for coffee, sugar free ice cream. Also, an assortment of frozen vegetables. Such as mashed cauliflower, riced cauliflower, seasoned brussel sprouts, buttered brussel sprouts, breaded okra, etc. Also, decaffeinated tea and store brand decaffeinated colas. It's the only place I want to go. It's not huge and I don't get out of control spending there. The employees are also very courteous and helpful.

This store is not very budget friendly. Lidl and aldis is cheaper a lot cheaper. So the name should be pay a lot. The freezer section sometimes the freezer isn’t working properly and the frozen foods is thawed out. I’m not wanting to get sick from thawed out refrozen food. Only reason this place had good reviews. Because people of Pickens South Carolina are not the brightest bunch. And most of them probably don’t leave Pickens. They mind as well put a bubble around pickens and let it be a place all by itself.
