Most Dollar General stores are bad anyways. This store in particular has recently had a “remodel”. What that means is they essentially added an extra cooler for lettuce, a fruit stand, and more self checkout registers. “Cash only” sign on the only staffed register forcing people to use the self checkouts. Let’s face it. Majority of Americans do not carry cash. If I wanted to be a cashier, I would go apply for the job and be paid for it.On top of this, there was also a customer there to get a refund of $16 and they were told that they couldn’t do the refund at that time. The customer would have to come back the next day.We all know they like to operate these stores with one employee to do everything so they try to push customers to do the work themselves.

Mrs. Donna at check out was very kind, courteous and extremely helpful! We need more people like her in important positions like this. This Dollar General gets lots of business and it’s important to have employees like Donna who give great customer service.

The employees were excited that I was buying up all their clearance items. I had a trunk full and paid 80 dollars! They were a very pleasant crew and the store is pretty clean and organized.

They had what I needed, but there was a really long line for the self check out. I kept seeing the only employee I saw coming to the front look at everyone, then leave. Someone needed help and got the button for help. No one came after they kept waiting, then they gave up and put their stuff down and left. The self register closed itself after no employee came to help, so everyone had to wait for the one that was open. I even looked for the employee through the whole store and couldn't be found.

Nicest and cleanest dollar general I’ve been too , I love the new remodel it’s great ! Self check out is super quick ! Even with all there issues with the new registers they are all super sweet and they even gave me a discount when I had to wait on the self check out to reboot !

This has basically been our little corner store for the past couple years and the employees have always kinda felt like family- always have good conversations and laughs.But to the young man working at the register tonight, I just want to say thank you so much for having a genuine heart and being kind to my son and I. You never know what the next person is really going thru, and you being so nice to me really made my heart happy! You made such an impact without even realizing it and you have no idea how much it is appreciated!! Y'all somebody give him a management position and top pay raise bc he deserves

Most Dollar general stores don't have enough product on the shelves because it's my understanding that corporate won't let them hire more than just shy of a skeleton crew. The store I was in though had wonder employees. Both of them.

The store is usually clean and organized and the service is good. One thing I don't understand is why does this store and the other stores stock so much regular Dr Pepper when Diet Dr Pepper is what they always sell out of?

Love this Dollar General. The cashier was great. She saw that my was handicap and went and got her a chair to sit while I went around the store to get the she needed. She went above and beyond her job description. Helped me tremendously.

Store is supposed to open at 8AM. Sign posted on door says they want be open until 9:30. We waited until 9:41 and still not open. All dollar generals in this area have really went down hill. If you can’t open then just close down.

This company obviously cares more about the bottom dollar than customer service. Every dollar general u go to is dirty and one person staffed in the store. Completely unsafe for tour staff Dollar General.People stealing left and right . I have a concept have staff in your stores so they can Clean and show presence and maybe so many people wouldnt look at your stores as a breading ground for theft. Makes me not want to shop there.. if you ask the staff they say this is what dollar general allows us to have and that's it.. really should be rethinking your strategy. Wont be going to any.

Store is a disaster. Full stock carts blocking most of the aisles and their checkout machines do not operate so they can only take cash. They should close this place for a week and get it together.

Always one of my favorite go-to places to stop on my way in from work, to pick up snacks, paper products, or cat food. I was shocked to see how my kitties favorite cat food however,was more expensive now at the dollar general than bilo or ingles,wow...!!I guess I will be needing to check my prices more closely and not assume that Lower prices are always found at the discount stores. I think retailers are forcing all of us to look online to order Staples for our home at pet supplies Etc to save money and let's face it folks it is more convenient to have it delivered to my front than fight traffic anyway.... I do not like to go all over town chasing the best sale prices.

Poor service stacked on top of poor service seems to be the most prevalent way Dollar General does business. I realize it must be hard to find people willing to work long hours for little pay and even though I cannot identify with the company's struggle as much as I can with that of the plight of the employee, I have to say that it is wholly irresponsible to run a business wherein successful and satisfactory customer service cannot be achieved. Dollar General has no problem throwing up another brick-and-mortar location on every desolate corner of impoverished neighborhoods, but for some reason do not think it necessary to put in the store's employ enough workers to meet the needs of the location. Totally poor form, but par for the course with this corporation.

Horrible customer service. Today there were eight people in line and only one cashier working while the other one stood right behind him stocking cigarettes and texting on her phone. Also I'm not sure why customers and the one employee running the register by himself are required to wear masks but SHE doesn't??? I'd never go here except it's the only store anywhere near my house. Would give 0 stars if that were an option.

Workers decided to block off the grocery aisles with carts. Thats a clear violation of the fire code and violation of osha.

I love DG's selection prices are great staff is friendly and helpful went in this evening bought a nice bag of shrimp but went down condiments idle had everything except cocktail sauce even had tartar sauce Clark even tried to help me look...please add cocktail sauce...sincerely customer

I don't remember the 2 young ladies names who were working til close on Thursday night may 6th 2019 but me and my 4 yr old lil girl Anna we're locked out of our truck traveling thru from Atlanta and these 2 young ladies were so helpful and so friendly and made our bad situation no so bad after all and I appreciate you ladies God bless you both

Friendly staff close to closing time on Christmas Eve...had to get curtains, rods, etc. for visiting new house. Found everything we were looking for in 10 minutes!

The first day this place was open someone ran their truck into the ditch out front. Yee haw, this place is going to make Pelzer fun again. It'll be like a mini Walmart, but without the charm.

This is a newer store, and as such, is cleaner, more organized, and coincidentally, has a friendlier staff than the others in the area.
