Staff: friendly, polite and helpful (especially explaining the different cuts/ options available).Service: 6 or 7 days turnaround for meat. I haven’t had anything mounted yet but the ones in the office look incredible.Food: Excellent. Consistently get more meat back than I expect, cuts are always what I asked for. Clean and delicious every time.

I want to start this bad review by saying that our first deer that we received from them was really a wonderful experience. It was packaged well and we got a lot back for what we brought in.This one star review is reflective of them admitting they donated our second deer because the kid who wrote down the phone number did not write it down clear enough. This would be understandable if my fiancé wasn’t so easy to locate. Had they googled his name or even just looked on Facebook, they could have found him. There are literally only two people in the entire state of South Carolina with his name on Facebook. It was on the tag and on the order form. We took it in around December 28th, and started calling to check in the first week of January giving them time to get through the holidays. They didn’t even hang on it it for 2 weeks. When it took about 2 weeks to get our other back in general, this seems like a short amount of time. For people who count on that meat for their food for the year, that’s a pretty big hit for us. They didn’t even offer to give our deposit back or any discounts for next year. Not even sure if we’ll be back. Extremely disappointed.

On the first occasion I went there to have a buck mounted they lost my deer and found it 3 years later. The next time I went the man running the operations told me I could pay for my mount when I picked it up I said that’s fine call me when it’s done. 6 months later got a call telling me they would not do the work until they received payment. I express what I had been told and that I lived out of state so I couldn’t just come by and pay them. Was told it wasn’t their problem and hung up on. Never saw my beautiful ten point buck again. These people are rude and arrogant.

I have taken my deer to Shane for years. There is a reason why his coolers stay full, because you get the best bang for your "buck". So glad to have such a well run processor close to the house!

Most of the time they do decent work. That being said, I got some stew meat from one deer this season and the pieces are bigger than they should be and they didn't bother to cut the tendons out of the meat. Just left them in the meat for me to have to cut out to cook. I've used them for years but may be looking for a new processor before next season.

I had two Bucks processed and Candlers did an awesome job packaging and labelling the meat. Also ordered two different kinds of venison summer sausage and both were amazing taste! Highly recommend this place for deer processing!

The best around! I have tried several other places and gotten bullet fragments, bone fragments and tons of hair in my meat. Candler does a fantastic job and I have never had a "surprise" in my steak.

Nice place, very easy to get in and out of and very clean. Meat is packaged very well and there summer sausage is awesome. Have been using them for years and will continue to use them.
