I think the people that work here are absolutely great and helpful- however the management of this company is pitiful!I purchased two items yesterday and was asked if " I wanted a bag"? --I was told it costs 10 cents!The cashier was so embarrassed and immediately responded that it was managements decision in an attempt to get everyone to use their "reusable" bag. The reusable costs $4 !!10 cents for the little plastic bag--does it get any better than this or what???

We had our three dogs groomed at Petco in Pawleys Island, SCEasy to a schedule via app, good communication and easy pick up and drop offPups were happy and looked great !

Bought a beta fish combo that was put together in the store the tank food rocks water conditioner etc to only come home and the tank that has picked outs pump was way to much for the beta . It kept sucking him to the wall where the pump/filter was to wake up to a dead fish. Went back there to be told that tank isn’t for betas ok so why did yall have it together as a package? I’m not sure mam. Gave me a new fish and told me I needed to purchase a diff filter system . So spend more money on top of what I bought that y’all told me I needed. Super discouraged .

Wonderful people working there, caring about pets. They are knowledgeable about the products there and it is a clean store. There could just be more staff on certain days. But isn't that something all stores are struggling with?

Had two free birthday coupons for food toppers for Zamara’s first birthday. Nobody knew how to take the coupons off and I was overcharged for everything and returned it and walked out.

You have far raised your price on World's Best Cat Litter. It was $33 for 28 lbs, now $40, I won't buy it there again. Chewy is still $33 for same size bag.

I this is a great place for help and questions about pets all of the workers there really helped me. But I have a complaint all of my friends Ferrets have died. One died form something in its liver. But beside that all the fish that I got have live pretty long lives (and happy ones) also I got a bearded dragon and he is doing well so far.

I drove all the way to Pawleys Island to purchase Dewormer for my little kitten. I wasn't able to get there till right at closing because of work. Due to the pandemic they close early. Well, let's just say I wasn't able to get what I needed. They locked the door and all I needed was 1 thing for my tiny kitten. I was heart broken. I have spent $1200 in Petco this past year and I will not be returning. I will drive right past there and go to PetsMart even though it is an extra 25 min out of my way. I expected better from Petco.

Whoever the manager that worked today, 03/07/2023 and the younger employee (male with short brown hair who was wearing reading glasses) deserve praise and a raise for their work ethic and life saving measures on an unconscious customer. The younger employee who was working at the cash register (male with reading glasses) took action and acted immediately. He was smart, CALM, and ultimately a hero. He and the manager did not leave the customers side until EMS arrived. The cashier and manager handled this situation in a way that should be acknowledged. As an ER nurse, I pray for more people like him to come into our field.I hope they see this review and are acknowledged! Good job, guys.

The unprofessional slim female groomer and large male cash register attendant took my Bichon only for a wash nothing else.Shortly after, I received a call saying my appointment was cancelled and that I needed to come pick-up my dog.Upon arriving, the male register attendant grabbed gloves and aggressively said my dog wasn't cooperating. Which seemed odd compared to what the last groomer said in Roanoke, Va.I tried to book an appointment recently and realized my under 15lb dog was banned and I received no Information, notification or anything about this dismissal.It’s in fact unacceptable, and unprofessional as representations of PetCo.As a paying customer, I reviewed the policies about banning and things of that nature but this action doesn't seem fit for my brief visit at this quaint location.STAY AWAY FROM SUCH LOCATIONS. Your money belongs elsewhere!

I have a very nervous German Shepard who hates grooming. Markcus was wonderful with her! She was calm for her appointment, and she even let him buff her nails. The pricing is similar to other groomers in the area. Online booking was easy. We will definitely be back to see Markcus at the Pawleys Island Petco!

I used to take my dog to PetSmart, and they were overpriced and rude. I'm glad to take my ShihTzu boys to their groomers. Great aervice!

We had our first puppy obedience class today. The store is clean, well organized and bright. The puppy training class was great. We looked for a ramp or stairs for our small dogs and there was a good selection. We have used the groomers before and they did a good job. We have been back several times and are thrilled that they are in our community. Thanks!

This store always has items I need for my dog. I understand all pet stores are now basically only carrying cbd products for calming pets. It would be helpful if alternatives were available. Thank you.

I was so grateful to the staff at this location. They were so helpful. It was Alfords' first grooming session and Kristina was great. She even gave me advice on the kinds of dog food we should feed him to help his skin. Than we were helped by Ed. Who gave me some great advice as well. He pointed out the food brand he uses for his furrbabies. Plus he explained how beneficial signing up for pet parks would be. I was sold. This is definitely my favorite store.

I've been shopping here since they opened but for the past year or so they are almost always out of stock on most of the items I buy. Either it hasn't been ordered yet, the truck hasn't come in, or the truck came the night before and they haven't had time to stock. Tired of making extra trips because they can't seem to keep the store stocked properly. Will just have things delivered from another company and save my time.
