This place was awesome. We were actually looking for a hermit crab for my daughter and they sell a ton of them on the strip like if you buy a cage, you can get a crab for free but honestly, if you just go to Petco, you can get a better crab and if something happens to it within 30 days, you can take the receiptwith you and get another one and it was cheaper so I advise everyone to not buy hermit crabs out of those little shops and just go to Petco at Myrtle

Unfortunately the leopard geckos that are housed at Petco are in horrible conditions they have nowhere to get away from the heat and lights . There is one hide which is pointless because it’s completely exposed for 4 to 7 geckos , no shade trees , no calcium, they are laying in corners on top of each other trying to get away from the 90 degree heat and lights . Geckos are no supposed to be housed together and require 3 hides one hot one cool and one moist to help shed . It’s really a sad situation. I expressed my concerns and even offer to purchase a few of their hides and plants to place in the tank but was told they have to keep it the way corporate tells them . It would very helpful if corporate educated them selves on the proper care and them also have education videos for the employees. Hopefully these geckos get adopted and can get out of there!

Great selection of dog food, frozen fish, food, plants, and fish. Prices are competitive. But the best thing about it was the staff! Both the cashier and the young lady you helped me in fish were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and seem to really enjoy their jobs. It’s a pleasure to have people like that helping you.

I feel awful for the way the animals are treated at this location. The bird cages are covered in feces, they have dead and decaying betta fish and frogs inside several other fish in tanks here. I asked a worker Adriane to take a look at the panda corys for my tank at home and she stuck her hand in the tank immediately and shoved all the decorations around aggressively to look for fish. This place makes me feel uncomfortable.

I visit this store often as it is local to me.This Petco is usually well-stocked.There is a good selection of foods, toys and essentials for your furry friend.This location also has reptile and birds ... and supplies.I have used the groomers here. They are very pleasant and helpful.They also team here with some shelters and have kitty adoptions here too!This location is at the far end of the plaza. There is an area to walk your pup near the retention pond.If you are in the area and need pet supplies this is reliable place to stop.

Petco seems to be okay although much it the items in store are overpriced an cheap on thier app. So I do suggest to always check !! I usually order crickets from them but they usually don't have much must be due to shipping. They do however house many amphibians together that should not be housed. Just basic knowledge if anyone does thier research such as bearded dragons and leaped geckos. Everything also seems to be on sale right now too I'm hoping whoever takes these babies give them the care an love they need. I did however surprisingly shocked found a king snake habitat at first I could not find him/her. But with looking really good I found it !!! Dead. And shriveled up. Who knows how long this baby suffered or has been there dead. So sad. I know it takes a ton of responsibility for anyone to care for animals but maybe they need more employees that are educated thoroughly an check habitats daily ??? Photo for proof incase someone doesn't believe what I've witnessed.

When I walked in, the only associate I saw basically ran to the back room. I walked around thinking I'd see another associate and nothing.. Aside from that: the fish and one hamster I saw seemed well taken care of.

I took my sick dog to the vet and they first told me i was late and did not know if i could be seen bc they changed my 3pm to 2:45, which i was not aware of. then they wanted to charge $340 and when i asked about them having some sort of member plan or vet discount i was told they did not know what i am talking about.

Bait and switch. Picked up a bag of "Wet Dog Food" the price on the shelf said $14.99. It rang up for $39.99. Girl said it was an error. That's not my problem. What she did is a violation of law!

I have 2 Chocolate Toy Poodles named Samson and Todd , I’m traveling with my Motorhome across country and Heather Kipp is by far the best groomer east of St. Louis. She does always a wonderful job with our fur babies. Yesterday i drive about 2 hours from Bennettsville SC just to get them groomed. My home is in Myrtle Beach, so I try very hard not to take them anywhere else.

Love this store! Everyone is always so nice and my pupper LOVES coming here as well 😁 He likes picking out his own toy, lol. The prices are comparable to other stores in the area and unlike other stores ALL PUPPIES ARE WELCOME! I have a Dachshund but I will not go anywhere that all dogs are not welcome.

This site is clean and the staff friendly. They hold vaccination clinics regularly and sometimes they have cats up for adopting.One of the few places that still sell birds, lizards and exotics.Decent supply of brand pet food.
