CPI Mover's Program. My local installer was fantastic, but the business overall is not great. They advertise a "CPI Movers Program" with customer loyalty incentives. After being with with CPI nearly 5 years I moved and had my system moved. I paid $194 to terminate the remaining 5 or 6 months and get the new system in place. I was informed that would close the account entirely on the old place and the new agreement would start at the new place. I would not be double billed. While mostly true, not entirely true. Even though I was assured that everything was closed at the old address (I paid the $194 to do this) it turns out that that was not entirely accurate. The billing for CPI had no understanding and had to communicate back and forth with "CFL" to find out that they are still billing for a few months for the equipment (substandard equipment) at the old place. My new contract shows one thing and the auto billing does not match. They are billing more than the new contract shows. I guess in short, there is no incentive to CPI Mover's program. Loyalty program does not exist. There is no incentive. Then you are locked into a new 39 month contract. I guess eventually, in a few months, the double billing will correct itself. There is no way to see a break down on what is being billed on the website either and if the contract says one thing and the auto draft is different it is difficult to flush all that out. There are many choices in home security. Do your research. They are all about the same for monitoring. So incentives and loyalty should be something that propels a customer from choosing one company over another. The interaction with the corporate billing department can influence a consumer's choice moving forward and the CPI's mover's program can actually be a mover's program when the customer moves to a different provider.

We called to cancel our service and gave the required 30 day notice. The 30 days ends on June 1 and we were told that even though we won’t have service for May or June, we will need to pay for both months. We have been loyal subscribers for years. The customer service at CPI is horrible.

While the technicians have been amazing during any encounter I've had with them, the company itself has provided poor service. I've had them for at least 2 years and now I'm suddenly hitting a limit on video footage for my cameras which in turn, doesn't alert me when someone is in my yard. Whenever I email or call, I do not get a response to my issue. I'm not sure what changed, but I don't like it. I have to turn my cameras off if I know my kids will be in my driveway or backyard to prevent my video clips going over for the month, which was never an issue until 2 months ago. I'm unfortunately in a contract, so I'm screwed and they can do what they want because they will continue getting my $71 a month until my contract ends or I pay it out. The equipment is slow to alert me and it has failed multiple times. The technicians that have come out to fix those issues were amazing and I appreciate them. They are the only good thing I can say about the company.

I had my door lock replaced today by CPI Tech Tony McCarthy.This appointment was super fast and he was able to get it done a half day sooner than scheduled. Tony was very professional contacting me before my appointment and kept me posted on his arrival with a tracking text message. He spoke with his inside voice and explained the few questions I had.Highly recommended for anyone needing CPI service. I had my system installed today. Jeremy gave me a call letting me know he was on the way and an estimated time he’d be at my residence. He was able to use some of the pre-existing equipment I had from my last company which added more coverage to my home then I was expecting. The instillation was relatively fast and afterwards Jeremy took the time to explain and show the features of our system as well as tested everything to make sure everything was functioning as it should. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. What I also liked was he has a system through CPI at his residence which he was able to show examples of video feed and alerts. This not only shows he knows the system but has faith in the product as he uses it himself. I’m very happy with the instillation and system so far. My only regret is not switching to CPI sooner and ditching Brinks which was over priced and didn’t offer as much as I’m getting from CPI at a lower cost.Services: Installation, Security cameras

J. Nettles was my servive tech. He arrived on the early side of our time window. Right away, he was very personable, respectful, professional and knowledgeable. He explained in detail what he was going to do and how. After each function he chatted with me briefly then on to the next.When job completed, he walked me through app set up, panel functions, etc. Everything is top notch and it only took a couple hours. Had this system installed on 7-15-21, on my new build. I purposed buying the equipment up front with Door charms esc. With 25 years Law Enforcement Service, I have full knowledge of these monitoring service lack of performance, especially ADT. Now the CPI rep (Don Grove) tried to wow me, but I advised him to spare me and get to the numbers. I handle my on-security coverage at my residence, but like I said I just built this home and wanted to extra equipment for my ownership.1. Expect 45 minute plus for a response on the phone for a CPI Rep.2. I had to call them for my Certificate 45 minute plus wait.Now here is the kicker, as to why I will not give CPI another red cent once my monitoring obligation is met.On 8-12-21 at 7:24pm Tammy calls me from CPI billing inquiring when will I be able to pay my $19.09 bill? Granted I knew right away what had happen. Don Grove dropped the ball. When I gave him a check for $1003.32 that paid for my equipment and 6 months monitoring up front. I was very upset with the situation not at one time did I blame Tammy or use profane language or refused to pay the bill. Listen to Tammy's response to me I'm a Christian, I advised Tammy just because she is a Christian and whether I'm one as well we still must handle business in a professional manner, because she called me. Tammy then tells me that I'm using the Lord's name in vain. People you can't make this stuff up. I advised Tammy to call the sales rep and have him contact me. I called the customer service line immediately. after I ended the call with Tammy. Requested a supervisor. I have yet to get that call back. Roach motel once they get your money, the heck with you. STAY AWAY. I had an interior motive(equipment).1-12-2024 FOLLOW-UPI have had no problem with the service or equipment until today, right after paying $221.94 the screen goes double Shakey, I call the customer care got a representative on the line. She said she is aware of this issue and send a reboot code with no success, then advises me that a service person will be to my residence on 1-16-2024 and I'm required to pay them. I was never offered a service plan or aware if CPI has one. The only way I'm able to set my alarm until this issue is fixed is my cellphone app. When I purchased this equipment, I was never advised that I had to have an app. This is what the representative just told me. WOW. can't wait until 10-15-2024 that is when my contract is up bye bye baby.

HIGHLY recommend. The customer experience was superb from beginning to end. Ken helped me pick the right plan and was both knowledgeable about every product and mindful of my budget. He was professional and made sure all of my questions were answered before I signed anything (as a first time homeowner I asked a LOT of questions).
