Dr. Santos is the best! She was able to squeeze my very sick dog in same day after our previous vet was unable to accurately diagnose or treat her. Dr. Santos stayed in contact with us to check on Ella and was able to get to the bottom of the issue and offered the supportive care that she needed. We are so thankful for Dr. Santos and recommend Best Friends Animal Care to everyone!!!

Dr. Santos and her entire team at Best Friends Animal Care saved my dogs life and my sanity. I had taken my girl to the emergency vet on Christmas night and had to get her to my vet the next day. Lucky for me, a neighbor informed me that Dr. Santos had opened her own place. I was so happy to see her again and felt immediately at ease knowing that my girl Lucy was in the best hands in town. After being diagnosed with pancreatitis and Lucy not eating, a plan was put in place to find the best options for her. The team worked with me to figure out the best way to go and ultimately, she was given a feeding tube. I had to learn how to feed her differently and make sure she took her meds. I saw an immediate change in her and within a week she was eating on her own again. In 2 weeks, the tube was gone, and she is now getting back to her old self. Dr. Santos explained what she should and should not eat and I am happy to say she is better than she has been in months. Healthy and Happy because I took her to a place where EVERYONE there sincerely cares for animals. Care is not just part of their name. It is what they truly do!! If you want a vet that cares...look no further. I am so glad I took my best friend there!!

We met Dr. Santos and her staff when she squeezed us in at the end of their day when our dachshund suddenly became painful in his neck and back and after that visit we decided that this is where we want our babies to be seen. She and her staff are very passionate about what they do and it is very much appreciated!

I can't say enough good things about the entire staff at this clinic. From the moment you walk in, the ladies at the front desk are pleasant and welcoming. The technicians and assistants are friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. Dr. Santos is, for lack of a better word, exceptional. She genuinely cares for your pet as if it were her own. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, explains in detail what she believes the issue is, and then formulates a plan to actually fix that issue. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Dr. Geske during my visit, but have met her at another clinic. She is also an amazing veterinarian that I would trust caring for my pets. Best Friends Animal Care is an asset to our community, and I am truly glad they are here.

We have known Dr. Santos for years and are so grateful that she has now opened Best Friends Animal Care. When our miniature Schnauzer had to have an emergency splenectomy, Dr. Santos and her staff were absolutely flawless in their handling of everything related to the surgery. From the transfusion forward, Dr. Santos and everyone who took care or our dog treated her like she was their own. I can't thank them enough for their knowledge, care, and compassion. I had a cat get into my back yard this past Mon and was gravely injured by my dogs! My vet is in Aiken and I wanted to take it to someone closer to be put to sleep’! I called 2 other vets in NAug and they would not help! Best Friend’s said come right now! I went outside to wrap the cat up some and it had already passed! Today was my first visit and from the moment I walked in the door I felt at home. The front desk ladies were so welcoming and enjoyed taking pictures of my doodle in the kissing booth. My appointment began promptly at the time it was supposed to and we did not wait at all. The vet was so caring and thoroughly explained every single thing. She took all of my concerns into consideration and validated them. We are so grateful to have a place like this that will take the best care of our dogs.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice. I live in downtown north Augusta and our animals were being seen by a vet in Martinez. It was not convenient but when I heard good things about Best Friends I thought I might give them a shot. Well, last week when my Aussie puppy had a problem with his eye, they got me right in and treated us as family. Dr.Santos was so friendly and promptly diagnosed and treated my pup. I decided to move all the animals over after that appointment and today my well visit for my cat went just as well! This time Dr.Geske saw us and she was so attentive and really took her time in talking to me about a problem I’ve been having with our 10 year old dog. Both doctors seem very knowledgeable and like they really care! Along with all the staff there! Also the facility itself is so nice and clean and not overbooked keeping the pets anxiety very low!

Dr. Santos and her entire team set the standard of animal care in the CSRA. The new facility is absolutely stunning: with top-of-the-line equipment ready to help any and all emergencies and care needs for our fur babies. I have had two semi-urgent situations in the past week and their team took great care in getting our pups back to good health. Her appointments did not feel rushed and I felt Dr. Santos truly gave my animals the time/love/care they needed. Vegas and Judge were in good hands and I will gladly recommend their services to anyone I know.

A wonderful vet! Took me in very last minute on a Friday to see my sick dog. I called a ton of vets and they were kind enough to see my dog and I last minute. Very efficient and very friendly. Wonderful doctor/vet and staff! Patient as well. Highly recommend!

Treated my Pug as the family member she is. Came in under an emergency situation and the team here took their time and fully explained the whole situation to me. My girl is feeling 100 times better and I will be back as they are now my family veterinarian. Experienced, Friendly, and fairly priced.

If there is a negative number fr a rating I would give it to this vet. When my husband and I visited thiis facility I asked the question of how much an office visit was and received the response from the receptionist at the front desk of $60. This was the first lie that was told to me. I won’t discuss the 2nd lie. So we carted off our very sick Westie to see if Dr. Santos could diagnose what was wrong with my Westie. Chancellor has two issues (one I did not know about) and the other was a gastrointestinal issue. Dr.Santos took X-rays and went over them with me. She recommended Cerenia first which is an anti-vomit pill, wait 30 minutes, 1/2 tablet of Famotidine, after 1 hour offer food, after eating give doxycycline.What this vet missed on the X-ray was that Chancellor’s heart on the right side is enlarged. When I gave the symptoms to the vet tech, I told her he was vomiting up white bubbles and it was the first time he has ever done that. He was also has been vomiting yellow bile with bubbles which is gastrointestinal. The vet completely missed the deadliest disease of all - cardiomyopathy. My beloved Westie has a death sentence hanging over my head.Pet parents beware of this vet and her practice.
