Genesis is such a cool place in downtown Newberry. I really like the reduce, reuse, recycle aesthetic they seem to have embraced. It's also really cool that they use coffee beans that have been ethically sourced. The café is super quaint and modern and has a new vibe with a old town feel if that makes sense.Their coffee was incredible and their homemade syrups are divine! The nitro is great and I love a shop that has a good nitro cold brew.Rebecca? I may have the spelling wrong, if I do, I'm sorry! But she was great. You can tell she really cares about customers and inclusivity. We went in there with my sister who's deaf and she tried signing and just talked to us about things she could consider when serving the deaf to help improve not only the business, but make customer's lives easier who are deaf and make them feel more welcome than they otherwise may have.Make sure Genesis is on your list as it will be for me. Anytime I'm in Newberry, I'll make sure to stop by. Heck, I may even drive to Newberry every weekend for it!Parking: There's public parking nearby on Caldwell

Have been here a few times. Lately went inside twice, delicious latte and shortbread to accompany it, yummy. Comfortable to sit inside, cute things to look and buy. It's clean, cozy. You can sit outside and bring your dog and hang out also. Love it, support locally owned businesses, you can feel the love.Parking: Next door or across from store

My family and I love coming to Genesis. They have comfortable seating and a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. They have a huge tub of large wooden blocks that keep my six year old entertained and he loves chatting with the staff and showing them his creations. The location is also really nice; downtown Newberry is a very charming town. There is street parking just across the street and parking lots less than a block away. I also find that they have a larger selection and are more willing and able to customize your order - than a particular large chain coffee shop... If you want dairy-free, sugar-free, Keto Friendly, etc. They can probably make it happen!Kid-friendliness: They have games and a limited selection of open-ended toys that keep my kiddo entertained. He also loves chatting with the staff and they always give him a big smile when he comes in.

This is a wonderful wonderful place! The people are incredible and friendly, and really care about what they are doing. I also really appreciate their values--everything here is fair trade, and they are committed to being eco friendly, all their straws and such are biodegradable. The coffee itself is outstanding, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I'll definitely be spending a lot of time here, cannot recommend it highly enough.

It's really good coffee. Beans come from Honduras, Nicaragua and Ethiopia. They use fair traded beans with their coffee. I really like that they roast it locally, makes it taste more fresh. The staff is really nice and cool, they seem to know what they're doing, looking forward to coming here more often!
