Jen has been grooming my sweet angel baby for about 2 years now. I wouldn’t just trust anyone with him! Jen went to school for grooming as well as does continued education in the field! My dog Miles is about 70lbs and is a husky, golden, and border collie (every breed that has long thick coats) mix. He has severe anxiety and takes me 3 hours to groom myself. Jen is amazing with him! He is always returned to me fluffy, trimmed, blonde, and smelling amazing with a new Bandanna and a tail wagging a mile a minute! The staff is so kind and professional! The store itself is super clean and has a great selection of pet goods! She also does an amazing job of trimming his feet and nails and cleans his ears! If I could leave more stars I would! You should definitely check them out!

There is literally NO other groomer I would take my dog to. Jen & her staff are the absolute BEST! I have a very skittish pup that RUNS to Jen for his appointment. I couldn’t be happier with absolutely everything that Very Important Pooch has to offer. From snacks & toys to grooming, you definitely get the VIP experience.

This is my favorite grooming place. I’ve have dealt with many groomers over the years. I absolutely love this place because your assigned groomer will always greet Mark you which allows for a brief conversation about any special needs or request. The grooming process takes one and a half hours. Pets are not stored in cages for hours while waiting for the next step in the grooming process. We have enjoyed all of the groomers that we have worked with over the past 2 1/2 years. Jen is a great manager, and Diane, new to the staff, is excellent. Sophia recently had one of the best cuts that she’s ever had.

A great local business! The staff is wonderful and they treat my dog like he is one of the family. Hershey always comes out looking handsome. He's an older dog and a rescue. I have not been disappointed.

Jen and the staff are great. Our dog gets his grooming done here and consistently gets a great cut. He looks (and smells) great. The service is friendly and professional. They are on time keeping appointments and notify me when he’s ready for pick up. The store sells pet treats, foods, toys, and equipment as well.

We took our lab here to get washed and groomed. I can tell where my dogs nails were clipped but she still had an odor. When I called to request they bathe her again, the owner was rude, and wanted to charge me for an additional wash. I’ve probably spent over $200 just in merch last month & around $70 for her “wash & groom” & this is how I am treated. . This is not Brads place anymore and frankly, I believe he would be very disappointed in the new owners. I’ll be looking for a new groomer in the dunes area and highly recommend you do as well. If I could have rated them a Zero, I would.

Our 13 y/o pup is a nervous girl but Heather at VIP treats her with love and always does a fantastic clean/cut/trim. Conveniently we book 6 weeks out and they are always on time and efficient. We love the no cage policy as it eliminates that stressor on our pup.

Turbo (my 13 year old senior pup) loves his groomer at Very Important Pooch. Service is excellent and his nails are clipped to perfection. His aging arthritic body welcomes the groomer knowing that the next few days are relatively pain free for him. Very relaxed experience for him that causes no additional stresses on his body. He is spoiled there as much as he is spoiled home. I think she massages him too. We always try to remember to book our next visit as they are very busy with other elite clients. Thank you for providing quality service at reasonable prices. I hope future clients are searching for services for their fur babies. Pet parents please tip your groomers that care for our pets as well as we do. If you are undecided, do not hesitate to try them atleast once you will not be disappointed and your pet will love you more!

I love the personal attention we receive when River and I walk through the door. When I pick him up...His coat feels like velvet and he's so happy. Jen is efficient and River is usually ready in just over an hour! The store is extremely clean and they offer a great variety of food options! Everything you need to make your "fur baby" and you happy!
