These positive reviews have to be either people that know the staff personally or are being paid to give 4 or 5 stars. Last night was the last straw for me. I'll never step foot in this place again. It's safety violation after safety violation. So many health risks, so unclean and a staff that doesn't seem to care to offer any assistance to customers, both on the phone and in person. These are just a few of the jaw dropping things I have seen here. It needs to be closed.

This store in Mauldin SC is a train wreck. It’s 6pm Dec 5th and the store is closed. I came by at 8am on Dec 2nd and it was closed then too. Trash and boxes everywhere in the isles it’s disgusting.

I can’t even complain on the employees because you can only do so much when NO ONE is working at this store! Every time I come in this store NOTHING is stocked and there’s items in boxes waiting to get put on shelves! I bet it would be easy to steal in this store, because it’s a ghost town. I tried to walk down one aisle and there were boxes everywhere! I literally walked down a aisle looking for a product but nothing was on the shelf because it was probably packed in a box! Ridiculous at its finest! Dollar general do better, or close this store! No wonder there is a different employee working in this store every week, these conditions are unworkable for anyone!!

Dollar General is a great store for your convenience, needs, and even for your pets needs from all kinds of accessories and stuff you can shop for groceries items to clothing items to furniture items Dollar General sell a little bit of everything from all your holiday stuff to your party stuff lots of children stuff and items toys to school supplies my favorite section in the store is the as seen on TV items where it would be advertised on TV to have to order and wait on the item to arrive in your mailbox so to speak. Dollar General is a equal opportunity employer and programs for non-profit organization. So if you don't want to run in the big chain store's Dollar General is the go to source for all your everything wants and needs every day and could save you some time and money 🤑💰 don't pass'em by.

Had a really upsetting experience here while shopping with my daughter and her friend, both age 10. One of the employees told us all about her day while checking us out, including “almost getting in 4 fights” earlier there at work, drinking 2 Monster drinks to chill out (have nothing against energy drinks, but she seemed unhinged). The part that I felt was so inappropriate was her incredibly foul language, especially in front of kids. She even acknowledged the kids and apologized for her language but then continued to share her insane day with us, peppered with every word in the book. I know everywhere is understaffed, but please talk to employees about SOME level of professionalism/courtesy.

I’m DONE going to this store! THIRD time I make a stop to grab someQuick groceries and they lock the doors early! Today 30 minutes, last time over an HOUR! Today the worker was outside, smoking a cigarette as I pulled up. He started walking in as I was getting out of my car and literally lock the door in my face as I walked up to the door right before 930. RUDE! Trash company!

Buyer Beware! Yet another Dollar General store charging a higher price at the register than what was listed in the aisle. It is deceptive and should be illegal. Inflation is making a crook out of everyone, but this is ridiculous! They are hoping with supply being so low and demand being high consumers will not notice. However, everyone is overtired of inflated prices and they are watching every penny they spend for good reason. The Dollar General and other companies are just adding additional strain. Shameful! But, you reap what you sow and I would not be surprised if stores start closing soon and in large numbers.

Love love love this store! The two working this morning were absolutely amazing! Quick to help, got the line moving just like a regular store, always a smile and greeting people! Ive just moved here about a month back and have been coming here everyday! Cheyenne and Thomas are two of the best employees I've met! Aubrey I think her name was was super helpful the last time I was here... Unfortunately, some of the other people could use a refresher on how to give proper customer service.l, last night Aug 12. 2021 the black ladies were rude, gave me and my kids attitudes when we were checking out, and when my wife went in to exchange something cause it was broken, they demanded she pay for the item AGAIN... Word to the wise, come in the morning or during the day and you'll get better service! Keep up the good work y'all!

This Dollar General is the worst. Their items are limited and they supposed to open at 8. People are sitting outside in their car waiting for the personnel to open the doors. It is now 8:10 and there is still no one. I can give my money to another store.✌️

I would not even give this store one star. It was very disheveled... open empty candy packages all over. One pink shoe and one black shoe in the walkway. Horrible customer service. They are obviously overrun by either homeless people or just thieves. I will NEVER go back!

It's a small store so they are limited in the mdse they are able to sell. I like the manager though. She works hard, you can tell, and I respect that, shes polite, and efficient, which makes me willing to buy an alternative product if they do t carry what I want. However some of the employees have no pride in their work and it shows. Two sides to every coin.

This is a good Dollar General. Because of the great size of these stores you can get in and out with ease. When you need a personal item, snack or just want to to browse this store is a good choice. The seasonal items come and go with swiftness so your bound to always find a treasure.

Stopped twice this week and front doors were not unlocked even though it was 10 a.m. also for a store that has a banner that says they just remodeled- its nasty. Empty shelves, merchandise everywhere that needs to be stocked.

I did a bit of Christmas shopping here for decorations and housewares. Because they're pricier than Dollar Tree, you often get a bigger and better selection. Given the amount of traffic in the store, the shelves can often be disheveled, but the staff is always friendly and helpful. When I don't feel like making an extra trip to the supermarket, I often buy wine here, too!

It's wasn't spectacular in the customer service area. Staff didn't smile or make me feel welcome being my first visit to this store. And my transaction was $3.18, I gave the cashier $3.25, she didn't give me my $0.07 change. I'm not mad, but someone else might get upset things like this.

Rude staff...in particular a short, stocky, African American woman with long dreds (didn't catcher her name) will update with name, if I ever go back and see her. Not good representative of an employee, may be the best company can find. Need training in customer service and how to talk to customers.

Was the worst I have ever seen. Every isle had merchandise in boxes all up and down the isle that needs to be put up. A man in a wheelchair could not even go down the isle It was horrible shut it down or hire employees that want to work Actually if I could put a negative it would be a -10

Just close your doors for good already so that a more competent store can take your place it's not like you're ever open anyways and when you miraculously are you're shelves are always empty. This inconsistent "store" doesn't even deserve 1 star

This place has to be the worst managed dollar store I have been in. Nothing never out and they always closing early. Today was the last straw for me. It's 4:40 PM and they are close on a Sunday! Why stop here when Bilo, ingles, publix, dollar tree, Walgreens, CVS, QT all a few feet up the road. I don't see how this place still in business.

First off the redhead girl is a thief with a bad attitude...I think her name is Ashley...She didn't give the correct change the night before, I paid for a $1.25 Item , I gave a $10 and the change... I will eat the $9 because I should have been more attentive on my behalf...HER ATTITUDE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST SENT ME DOWN THE WRONG AISLE AT THE BACK OF THE STORE TWICE, THEN WHEN I SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT..SHE SAID "I GUESS WE GOT NONE THEN"(HATEFULLY),I. ASKED WHERE ANOTHER ITEM WAS...HER RESPONSE"I DON'T KNOW WHERE EVERYTHING IS AT"(HATEFULLY AGAIN)...When I first came in the store she didn't say Hi or anything...POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.... Secondly next day went explained to MGR. about the money(she responded with"her drawer has never been over",with out hesitation)...I said NO PROBLEM...Secondly I asked where the belts were ..not only did she tell me, showed me were they were at.....not even close to were the girl said they were the night before.. NOT TO MENTION THE MGR IS WORKING BY HERSELF..THANK YOU VERY THOUGHTFUL..💯.. Also the MGR . said she will talk to her,I hope so because her attitude is VERY CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY...plus she NEEDS to keep a close eye on her at the register..I had just made a purchase earlier,so I knew what I gave her,but like I said I should have been more attentive....😢😢

One of the items that I was looking for I could not find, which wear a pair of men's house shoes is. They did have plenty of women's house shoes. The staff was very friendly and helpful.☺
