This place is our family favorite. Granted we are the more adventurous locavore type. You have the option of the farm's market or hunting/gathering your own! The kids love running through the strawberry patch! After rainy days, it's best to wear your rainboots in you are planning on gathering your own decadent fruits. Be prepared to get a little dirty while having too much fun!^best place for mini field trips to teach about life on the farm.

What an incredible farm. This place is THE place to get fresh strawberries and other such produce. The people are very friendly.

Beautiful spot to pick strawberries!! I've been here many times and have always enjoyed it. I just wish the website was kept up to date and they would answer the phone.

A really nice farm. Staff is so nice and friendly. Prices are a bit high and disappointing that there are no organic offerings. I have heard they are closing and that is a big loss...we really enjoyed strawberry picking at Beechwood (Mother's Day free strawberry shortcake was AWESOME!) and having a picking farm right here in Slater!! If there is anything we as a community could do to help Beechwood stay open, please let us know! Personally I think if you began offering some organic products you would see a HUGE increase in pickers...Travelers Rest is like the organic capital of Greenville and us crunchy folk are BIG on organic!!! Just a suggestion as well as a request from our family...we are always looking for local organic farmers to support and we would love to help you continue the wonderful tradition of your family business!!

Drove over from Greenville,SC in hopes of buying some fresh peaches. What a wasted trip. Only one car in their parking lot, and that was an employee. The peaches were a few small baskets of over-ripe peaches. When asked the employee where all the peaches were, she said, "They are out picking them". Finally went to Fishers Orchard at Dillard. Tons of peaches!

I was pleased to know that they accepted the senior vouchers. I was able to purchase some delicious produce; okra, tomatoes, crowder peas, squash, and watermelon.

Lovely farm to go visit and pick your own Produce. My advice is to wear good boots/hiking shoes as it gets dirty and difficult to walk between the rows. I made a lot of strawberry preserves and hope to come back soon when veggies are ready for picking!!! Please support your local farmers!

Last year I only bought one gallon of strawberries at Beechwood. The texture, color and flavor was off to me. This year I bought my first gallon of the year, but will be going back again and again. Dark red, large juicy berries with the sweet and tart flavor that let's you know spring is here and summer is on the way.

Loved this place! Got the most amazing, fresh strawberries that actually taste like strawberry; make sure to pick up their list of produce that's available by month, they have all sorts of things! Terrific stop!

This place was amazing. The sunflowers honestly looked like a greenscreen, that's how beautiful they were! I would highly recommend this place, but not just for the sunflowers and produce. We unfortunately lost our keys and spent an hour searching before we told an employee and she called her husband to help us. They brought out a metal detector, and voila! Our keys were found! The employees are kind, prices are cheap, and the fields are beautiful! This farm will be #1 on my list after my experience there.

The first time I visited Beechwood farms was not perfect but my second visit was great. I met with Donna, the manager, and she was really nice. She also introduced me to other employees and they were really nice as well. The farm itself is great, there are great vegetables to pick from and fruits. My mom, daughter and i were very pleased with our experience We will be going back really soon.

Fresh veggies are good. However, they put stuff in a cooler for days & when you want fresh they'll tell you it's fresh. Got a bag of "fresh" crowder peas & had to throw them away: Mushy, wet & molded, stank in the middle of the bag... Just be sure to ask when it was picked & if it's been in the cooler.

Sunflower were beautiful. However call before making the trip solely for them, because their not always available for viewing. Today the tracker ride was not available, but we were granted permission to drive our vehicle for $10 to view them for 30 minutes. That was long enough with the bees, heat, and mud.

My husband used to pick strawberries here as a child, and I've enjoyed this farm since my college days. We lived in the Northeast for the past ten years, but visiting SC we brought our six kids back to Beechwood Farms. Delicious strawberries, beautiful fields, quick in and out to get baskets and to pay. We love this place!

The produce is good, but the staff is even better! My car wouldn't start when we tried to leave, so three of the male staff members came to my rescue. They brought their truck & jumper cables and helped me get back on the road. I'm so appreciative of their time & positive attitudes!

Last year the farm was bustling with people buying fresh produce. This year produce was slim pickings. Watermelons and tomatoes were well stocked. I hope my visit was on a day they were packing for Farmers Market. Will try again soon. Field were green and lush.

A nice farmers market for produce. They do also have pick your own produce and times for various crops. A pretty good selection of product with reasonable pricing. They did have a few animals around, the goats were cute.

When you want plump, juicy, sweet strawberries, this is the place to come. Bring the kids and pick yourself, or just buy a bucket. Strawberry pie, cheesecake, shortcake, jam... endless strawberry possibilities
