If you are looking for a place to have the owner talk down to you and make A promise to do something then never hear from him or have him avoid you when you call then this is the place for you. If you want a place to have your boat serviced only to have to carry it back the next day because they couldn't be bothered to run it after they serviced and catch the fact they crossed up plug wires then this is also the place for you. Patrick the owner is extremely rude and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Awesome time renting a pontoon from Meares Marina! The boat was beautiful- set up to make fishing easy.The guys at the marina were kind, knowledgeable and friendly! I’d rent from them again! Great experience!

Patrick and his staff at Meares Marine are the best service anywhere around. I had an issue with my boat during my recent tournament and they went above and beyond to get me back on the water!! Not to mention it was a great place to hang out most of the day and their hospitality was off the charts. Makes you feel like you have known them your entire life after 5 minutes.

My family of 13 went on our first vacation including 4 grandchildren at Lake Marion. I rented a pontoon boat from Patrick Meares. I can't say enough about Patrick and his staff. They went out of their way to make our vacation the best. We had an issue with the boat, I mentioned to Patrick that it seemed a little sluggish. He immediately sent one of his men up to the house and check it out. They discovered an issue and brought me another boat for my family. That was extremely proactive on his part. We are going back again next summer and have already told Patrick to reserve a boat for us.

I've been to Mears twice. First time for an upper and lower oil change and recently to have my motor raised up 3 bolt holes. It was mounted incorrectly elsewhere after having a center toon put on. Both times after calling ahead they backed up a trailer, pulled me out and gave me service while I waited.It nice to have a competent, friendly, locally owned place nearby.

Its a 1 from me too. Rented a pontoon over the phone and I had a ton of questions. The woman was nice and friend and specifically told me the whole day rental meant the boat had to be back by the 6pm closing. Had a great day on the water, and upon our return BEFORE the stated deadline.... we were berated by a very angry man for being an hour late. When i explained what i was told, he cut me off & said we close early on Sunday. Ummm I rented the boat for a Sunday so that should have also been relayed then, no? He angrily said that it was in the contract. The same contract that was handed to me already folded to the last page for signature. Literally no instructions given to me to read or verbally any DIFFERENT time stated other than the one I was previously given.I also want to add this was a family trip, not a drunken group of friends. We are all related and we had elderly parents with us as well as toddlers. The way we were treated was unnecessarily ugly, uncalled for, and certainly not appreciated. Customer service classes are advised as misunderstandings do happen from time to time & there are definitely better ways to handle things.

Meares marine is a great business. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Best service shop on the lake . If you are in wyboo in your boat swing by get you some fuel, snacks, ice and anything else you need.
