As an assistant store manager I felt that the customer service I was provided was below average. I wasn't greeted as I entered the building with my 5yr old son. Me and my son was also being followed and watched the entire time and I feel as it was because the color of our skin. This store use to be excellent but I won't be returning if things aren't corrected and fixed imediately

The store has an array of mediocre product, which by standard is what is to be expected of a dollar general. And the products are pretty neat for such a cheap price. But the down side of this store in particular was the appalling, lack of cleanliness. There were spit bottles full of dip, spit, and trash. Empty coke cans, some of the products on the shelf were damaged, and there were store floats everywhere. And the customer service could use some work as well. From what I remember the guy at the register said "I can't believe this, what are all of these people are doing here. Don't they have anything better to do." (There were max 12 people in there) but that's why this place gets a 3 star. And I'm pretty sure I'm being generous with that.

The cashiers are always so nice. Always speaks to my lo. The Manager even allowed me to get some boxes from the side of their building for moving a while ago. The store is always clean of clutter down the isles. Like most DG looks like my toddler had a field day in their stores lol.

Staff is friendly, but what all can you say about a dollar general? The normal spill going on here. Go to one you've been to all. Items on rocket karts where it hasn't been put up yet all in the isles. The normal typical I get paid minimum wage so it is what it is atmosphere. But knowing this already, awesome experience. Would go here again.

I shop here pretty frequently, I always stop in here when I need to pick up a few things quickly, but don't want to go to Walmart. Over the last few months this place has really declined. They seem to always be out of stock on something, the store is completely messy and disorganized, making it difficult to find things, or know where anything is. It doesn't seem like they do inventory or they just don't stock their shelves very often. For the last three I went in to pick-up something they have always typically had, and carries multiple brands of, but have been out of stock every time I go in. And it it like that with a lot of products. It's clear they either need a more involved owner, or a better general manager. As well as more/better staff. I used to really enjoy just popping in to grab what I need and heading home, but shopping here has become stressful and time consuming. I now pretty much avoid this place and just shop at Walmart.

Great store torun in and get what you want and run out without the wait (wal mart). You can get good deals on a lot of items. Don't forget to hold on to your receipt so you can use it to get $5.00 off of every $15.00 you spend. You can always create an account on line and they will email you the weekly specials and you don't need you receipt to get the $5.00 off all you have to do is put your phone number in and it will automatically bring it up for you.

There is way too much in this store. The shelves are never stocked with regular everyday items like it should be. It's cluttered and I get tired of going in there. DG has always a quick way for me and my family to pick up last minute things but not lately.

Nope! I have continously pushed myself to frequent this Dollar General as it's on one of my routes in the afternoons. I would much rather drive 10 miles into Ridgeway to their DG.This particular store seems run down or maybe lack of proper management I assume. Stuff is always out in every other aisle if not every single one.Employees stare at everyone like people are thieves lol just my opinion!😁

I went in for Alkaline batteries. I always get the Dollar General brand cause they seem to last just as long as the major brands and they're a lot cheaper. I asked one of the workers about a Bluetooth wireless ear for my phone. They didn't have Jabra or Motorola but she recommended a brand named Billboard cause she had a set like them and said they were good. I had purchased a Jabra Bluetooth several weeks ago but I couldn't adjust the volume up loud enough to hear well. I hesitated cause I knew this was a cheap brand but I gave them a try. I'm so glad I did. The pack comes with a pair but you can use one if you want. They pair very easy, both have a volume buttons and a call button. Plus they were $ 10.00, amazing sound and comfortable to wear. Thank you to the clerk that helped me at the Lugoff store.

As recently as 2016, I enjoyed shopping @DG on Roseborough Ln. Friendly & helpful staff. Frances Dixon was a fabulous manager, after her departure things weren't the same! Some staff do NOT even know what is stocked! R u shocked? Lol A major health hazard is the amount of dust and dust mites in all DG stores including other states! I've mentioned this problem repeatedly! I've had an anaphylaxis rxn to dust mites!! I'm not the only person who has dust allergies! This widespread dust problem has to come from DG WAREHOUSES! Please address this dust issue in your paper products etc before a customer has a anaphylactic dust mite reaction in your store, which avoid @ all costs to DG !

Love Dollar General... expectantly the one in Elgin before you get to the IGA. They have a new Manager and A new Guy that works behind the counter most the time and HE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AT his JOB. He is always super friendly, more than willing to help you anyway he can, and is always SO HAPPY to be at work. I believe his name is JOHN OR JOSH OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT... HE ROCKS

Prices good but couldn't get some items I needed due to all the stalking carts blocking isles. Only one employee. Now I have to waste gas and go elsewhere. 😭

The manager named "Tamika" (not sure on spelling) called my wife back referring to her application, and was very rude on the phone, and pretty much told her they didnt need her but if she wanted to come in and apply she could, but shouldnt waste her time.. The manager also made the comment of "I dont like being called about hours and such, it annoys me"... She was very unprofessional and rude. This is not how you manage a store.

They are good they keep everything packed at least where I am I want to say sometimes things are out of place even through it’s packed with what you need customers come in and just throw things around I don’t blame the workers and I’m not getting mad at the customers for because I also do the same sometimes at store.

This store always has rows of products stacked in the isles. Your options are to manhandle the carts to find what you are looking for or go someplace else. I get stocking shelves however when its 4:00 and you have an entire isle and then some just seems like poor management.

Cashier should focus on customer and ranging up items charge me twice for the same thing didn't greet me when I walked in the door I blame management for not properly training employees you don't even deserve this one star
