The Landrum Antique Mall (Thrill of the Hunt) is a wonderful store. The mall offers good quality antiques such as jewelry, fine china, books, carnival glassware and more! It’s the perfect place to hang out and the items are priced well for any budget.

This review is more for Landrum itself and not the store. Landrum is a cute southern town at the base of the mountains. There are lots of antique stores with nice products. Each store has something for everyone. Yankee peach has collectables and trinkets. Thrill of the hunt has fancy antiques, and voyagers has old signs. There are also lots of little cafes and restaurants as well as a tasty coffee shop. Landrum is a nice town to visit.

Downtown Landrum is a wonderful little town. It is set in the northern part of the state of SC and is separated from other small towns that were connected by the railroad. It has a great area for spending the afternoon walking around and checking out the antique shops.

I great old building to look for treasures. We always enjoy searching the antiques. Looking for grandma's old dish or something for the yard. There is a blend of old, new and retro items. Even during COVID the antique mall has seemed to survive OK. It's time to get out and support these local shops

We have been a long term customer of this Landrum Antique for greater than 8 years. We have spent a lot of money in their store. However, we visited over the weekend and was taken aback by the lack of genuine desire to have their customers return to their store to purchase items. Let me explain, after driving for 1 ½ hours to their store. I inquired as to where the restroom was located. The cashier told me they no longer offered a public restroom since COVID and I could walk down the street to the CVS Store, and they had a bathroom. (I wonder how CVS employees feel having people walk in only to use their restroom?)Suggested Lessons for proprietors. Be Genuinely HAPPY to be back Open and have their Customers Return!1st, If you are afraid of your customers using your restroom due to COVID, you should not even have your store open. Your customers/patrons are walking through your store, breathing and touching your merchandise. If they do purchase something – they are going to hand it to you so it may be rung up on your computers for payment. Uncanny; however, I have yet to provide my credit card for a purchase and be told I am afraid to touch your card/method of payment. Show your customers you are happy to have them return to you. ACT LIKE IT. Make a restroom available. All you need to do is to spray Lysol or wipe the area with Clorox Wipes after the use. Provide a key so that you would know when the restroom had been occupied so that you may clean it. (Remember those paying customers are the ones that allow you to have your store open and for you to have the ability to pay your employees.2nd A valuable lesson I learned more than 40 years ago, once you have a customer in your location, you want them to stay there for items to peak their interest so they will purchase from you rather than your competitors.I/we are hopeful this is read by the Owners of Landrum Antique Mall

Attn: Kim Karaman, owner of the Landrum Antique Mall. If I could give you less than zero stars I would. Recently visited your store and not only did one of your vendors misrepresent an item we wanted to buy, your staff added to it by deciding to argue with me.Particular item that we found in one of your vendors stations was priced and laying on top of a couch looking like it was ready to buy.Nothing to hide here it was a dead fox. It had a ticket on it that said $68.50.We get it up to the register and the gal that works for you says ‘oh I’m sorry I can’t sell this to you’… she goes on to tell us that since it was Sunday she could not get a hold of the DNR in South Carolina to find out if she had PERMISSION to sell it… ?! THEN, she points out that on the other side of the tag it says item not for sale.So let’s get to the heart of the matter here. First of all why would it be on the floor where anyone could come by and pick it up and want to buy it?! So moving forward she took our phone number and said that once she checked with the DNR (oh wait a minute that would be to gain permission to sell a DEAD animal?! ) that she would call us back.So this morning she called us and told us that she had gained permission to sell the dead animal to us, HOWEVER the vendor says that the price is now $175.00 … WHAT THE HELL?!I’m sure by now you are starting to see why am upset with this scenario. After going back and forth with your employee and why these discrepancies have occurred, I offered to pay $100 and she stated that she would ask the vendor and call me back.Later in the day she calls me back and says no deal from the Vendor.Really Kim, you wouldn’t be able to call me back right now and offer that dead animal to me for free. But I am certainly posting this review to let everyone else know that if this is the way your employees behave and also the way that your Vendors behave I don’t think anyone should do business with your antique store!!No rebuttal required I don’t care to discuss it any further. My review of your store will accomplish what I need it to do.

Dang, seems some folks have no clue as to how consignment antiquing works and how involved DNR is about wildlife taxidermy (hint: it's to deter illegal harvesting and poaching) great antique store, I've been in town for 4 months on a job and would rate these folks on par with my hometowns black dog salvage

Alot of selection, many hard to find items, however the staff does not suggest an atmosphere of friendly, helpful service. With 3 antique shops in walking distance,I would think an urgency of politeness & courtesy would be an expectation.

Bought a Sessions mantle clock for a good price and it had the repairman's info in the back next to the original paper from the company. Lots of stuff and a large place to house it all.
