The only draw back to this store is they are often out of things. I guess the location many people shop here and items sell out quickly.. Such as the DG brand necessities are often out of stock. Sale items are often sold out. The staff are awesome at this store though. Very friendly and helpful.

Wanted to purchase some clothes today that were outside- there was no way to tell a price because there was no tag- no sign telling if the items were on sale or anything.. asked about items and associate said I think they are $5 but I can do $2.50. How am I supposed to know if I paid appropriately?

Probably one of the smallest and for certain, the dirtiest Dollar General stores in the area - however, the staff are ALWAYS friendly & helpful and we are THANKFUL for this store in Lamar - our "own" little Walmart.

Dollar General might not be glamorous, but who cares? No business has done better for rural America in the 21st-century than DG. It used to be that if you lived in the country, you'd have to make a monthly trip to Wal-Mart. Now, you pop into a DG (I hear they're trying to have one every few miles) and you're golden. And you can get a loaf of bread for 88 cents! Never let anyone tell you that people can't afford food in this country. It's the best retail store for the little guy that's not a locally-ownes operation.

Lot of variety with necessities when you are in a pinch. However the store layout is junky and cluttered and finding things is not always apparent.

They say they are open till 9 PM but they will lock the doors 20 minutes before 9 and won't let anyone in they should say they close when they feel like it
