Not only does Dog Tired provided a safe and comfortable environment but this team also went above and beyond with their canine enrichment practices. When I contacted them the first time, Joey was enrolled for temperament observation and the operation manager explained that his behavior and his obedience as well as seeing how he got along with other fur kids would be observed. Dogs are assigned to a group of the same size and temperament ensuring safe and fun socializing. Joey came back happier and more stimulated than ever before. From the 45 minutes of interactive play sessions, and then allowing interchanging rest periods, it's clear they prioritize mental and physical well-being. The staff's dedication to each dog's individual needs truly sets them apart. Highly recommend for any pup parent looking for top-notch care!

Dog Tired is the BEST! They take care of our Ruby Jingle at least once a week (she LOVES it!) - they are professional and truly care about the pups. I am never concerned about leaving Ruby and they always do their best to accomodate our needs. We use them for dog walking, dog sitting, day care & boarding. I cannot say enough good things!Saw your thank you! Not needed but appreciated! I could write a novel on how happy you guys make her and us!

My pup Moose loves Dog Tired!! They put pictures up everyday and he even made the cover photo. Somehow they are able to remember my dog and all of the other dogs that walk through the door and specifics about them. For example, I asked if Moose could do a bath, nail trim, and teeth cleaning the next time he is there (which was a week and a half later) and then when I took him in that day the very sweet check in person asked me without hesitation when I would be picking him up so they could time his spa day. They really know and love the dogs here. Another example, my pup pooped out something that looked like a mushroom to me (it wasn’t, total false alarm) but before I realized it wasn’t, I called them, they checked the yard twice and assured me they checked it every morning. I apologized when I realized I was incorrect and they were very kind in reassuring me it was no problem. Moose will keep going here until he inevitably stops leaving with me and moves in here. I assume they will put him to work at this point and I’ll have to come visit him at work. Anyway, 4 thumbs up.

I walked in one day to see if they would be willing to groom my Aussie, Cody, because he had a leg injury. I needed to get him groomed before surgery as he had a 2 month recovery time. Many people wouldn’t be willing to do so. They were happy to help! They were so kind to me and I left feeling great about FINALLY finding a good groomer in the area that showed compassion. When we arrived for the appointment the groomer (name escapes me at the moment) was so sweet to Cody. She was very thorough in finding out what I was looking for and attentive to his leg injury. She did a fantastic job with the grooming! I’m so thankful to them for the great experience and helping Cody prep for a tough surgery and long recovery. We will be back!

I have to tell you how much I love the staff at Dog Tired. My puppy is a different dog! She originally was having some issues with confidence causing her to be socially anxious and nervous tinkle. Now she is so confident, hasnt excited tinkled in MONTHS, and gets so pumped when I take her to daycare. She doesn’t even look back at me when i leave her! I started taking both the girls there and they LOVE it. Worth every penny

My puppy Potato LOVES this place. He is loved on, played with, and well taken care of every time he is there. We love Dog Tired and can tell the staff really cares. We love all the "crafts" they do and the pictures they post are always the highlight of our day. Can not recommend enough!!!

My dog seemed like he really enjoyed it. He was there for a week while we were out of town, the only issue was I gave them just enough food for the week while we were gone, but they gave me back a day and half worth of food for him.

I recently had my dog boarded here hoping for the best since I have a terrible experience at another local boarding facility. I can say I was beyond pleased with the way they cared for her. She is a senior dog and can be shy and it really looked like through the photos from facebook I saw she totally enjoyed herself. She was excited going in and happy when I picked her up. The employees there really seem to care for the dogs they watch over. Would highly recommend their services!

Our pups LOVE Dog Tired. Jessie has been going there for almost 9 years. Our new pup, Kaleigh about knocks the door down to get in, she is so excited to be there.They do a great job and our dogs are definitely Dog Tired when they get home.Love that they post pictures daily and I can see the pups enjoying their time there. They extra curricular activities are fun too.

We have had great success with Dog Tired Pet Sitters! We have used them for our dogs, chickens, and pet rats for in home care. They are great at matching someone knowledgeable with the type of animal. I love that they send pictures and personal updates while they are at your house. Ashley and her team at Dog Tired have been our go to for over 4 years to come visit our cat Rex whenever we are away for an extended period of time. We always ask them to come feed and care for him for 30 minutes in the morning. They always give him the best care with lots of petting and play along with his morning feeding, which he loves. They send me pics with each visit and give me a full update on how he is doing and what they did for him that day. When anybody comes through our front door Rex is always greeting them and we know he is hoping it is one of folks from Dog Tired for more food and fun. Dog Tired watched our pup over our wedding weekend, and also provided wedding nanny services for us. They brought him to our wedding and helped him pose for pictures with us. He was SO excited that we were really only able to get one good pose with him, but we knew that was a risk with him being so young and so energetic. They did a good job taking care of him over the weekend, and I'm so grateful that they were able to bring him to the wedding for us! The only negative aspect of our experience was that he did get kennel cough which turned into pneumonia after staying at their James Island location for his assessment day. However, I'm a veterinarian and have seen numerous other boarding facilities in the Charleston area have outbreaks of infectious respiratory disease over the last 6 months, so we knew it was a risk we were taking by using any boarding facility. The James Island location was also quite a bit smaller than I expected. We used the John's Island location for the wedding weekend, which has much larger yards, and had no complaints!

We are very happy with the dog walking service for our two older dogs! Mon-fri they look forward to their daily walk and we’ve seen a great benefit from this in them since we started it back in August 2022. The dog walking service has an easy to use portal that sends email messages post-walk with a little recap report and pictures! :)

I do NOT recommend Dog Tired. Do NOT trust them with your pet.First, I had to take my Golden to do an evaluation prior to being boarded. I talked to Dog Tired twice beforehand to inform the staff that it would have to be private due to medical reasons and therefore he could not interact with the other dogs. I communicated that he would have to wear a cone as well. When I arrived that day for the evaluation however I was questioned why I brought a cone. I was immediately concerned. I called previously to ensure the staff was well aware and they were not.Second, I called twice in one day when my Golden was boarded and no one answered. I was later informed that there are weekend hours and from 10 AM to 4 PM I would not have any contact with my dog. I find that absurd.Third, the day I picked up my Golden from Dog Tired I asked the staff whether or not they gave him his medicine and they did not remember. I was appalled. Fortunately it was not life or death but for another pet it could be. I immediately did not trust that they cared for my Golden properly the entire time I had him boarded.Fourth, I scheduled a groom for his final day at Dog Tired. I was informed that same day that the staff could no longer do the hair cut. They did confirm that they could bathe him, clean his ears, and grind his nails. When I picked him up he was damp and his ears and nails were untouched.I understand that the staff is new and learning but that said the health and overall care of my pet should not be solely in their hands.

Dog tired is amazing! Kate was super helpful with all my bookings for my little beagle penny during my wedding weekend. Penny tends to have seizures, and I had no worries knowing she was in good hands. I cannot say enough good things about Kathy our sitter. Not only was she amazing at taking care of penny, but she was the sweetest woman I have ever met. Penny has always been very skittish, an Kathy knew just how to calm her down. She even would lay on the floor with her the whole night. I ended up booking Kathy multiple times during our stay in Charleston. Our whole wedding party was sad to leave the last day, knowing we wouldn’t see Kathy’s smiling face. A week later an we all still talk about how amazing she is. Do not hesitate to book dog tired. You will not be disappointed! We love you Kathy !! 🐶

My family and I recently went on a trip over Christmas. We were so happy to find out that Dog Tired still had a spot open to keep our dog while we were gone. Christina and the crew are wonderful to work with. We knew our dog was in very good and trusting hands while we were away. We will definitely use them again. Lady G has been at Dog Tired for almost two years and we would not think of taking her any other place. All the staff is extremely competent and responsive! Lady g is very excited to arrive in the opening and comes home happy and exhausted! We love seeing all the pictures of her playing in group with all her friends!

We use Dog Tired Pet Sitting services for a last second weekend trip. The team came over and met our pups (we have 4) so they could get to know them. They took care of any and all issues while we were gone. We had a few accidents which the team did not hesitate to help clean up. They even took the trash out on the last visit of the weekend! I am glad we found such a great group to watch after our pups while we are gone. I would recommend to anyone.

We love Dawg Tired! We got Benji about 6 months ago - he was a 1 year old rescue Great Dane-Labrador mix, huge and FULL of energy. He has been to Dawg Tired every Wednesday since, and spent a few long weekends with Gray and her team. It's been wonderful. They're obviously knowledgeable about pet care and grooming, and the service is very professional. Electronic invoices, reminders, summaries... very nice. The facility is very clean and doesn't smell like a kennel at all. There are two nice play yards with sail shades overhead. My only problem is getting Benji from the car to the door... he's trying so hard to get in there that I can't keep him on the leash :)We've used 3 other kennels (with other pets, now since gone) and they were fine, but the dogs couldn't be brought home without a bath and it was hard to get in touch with them (had to call at certain times, get a call returned - which made me think they weren't always on-site). Gray or one of her team is always available and I forgot to mention that their hours are GREAT.Try them out!!!

I have a 16 1/2 year old cat and a 9 1/2 year old dog, who has several medical issues and is completely blind. I moved to Johns Island in late October and had to go out of town within 6 weeks of moving in. I went to 4 area vet offices for advice and help on who would be the best to take care of my dog. All 4 vets provided me with several groups but only Dog Tired was recommended by all 4. I went there and met Gray and the staff. They were very understanding and offered me several options. I had never left my dog home alone. And having just moved in, I was concerned as he needs time to adjust to new settings and people. After meeting with Kate and the pet sitters, I opted for the pet sitting. I have never travelled without worrying about my dog. I was extremely concerned this time as he was in a new house and he had never been left 'alone'. Well, I came back and he was so calm and happy - and the pet sitters were awesome. They sent pictures and updates which allowed me to relax as I could see for myself that all really was well. I travelled over that snow storm weekend so at the last minute, I contacted Kate and told her I was concerned my flights might get cancelled. She said, 'We have you're back'. And they did! I got home on time and while I was unpacking, I got a call from one of the pet sitters. She called to see if I made it because she was going to make another run to my house to care for my fur babies if I had been delayed. I have never been more impressed and grateful to the vets who all recommended Dog Tired to me. I am a forever client! They are the best.

Would give Dog Tired 10 stars - outstanding staff who takes such great care for my dog and always greets us with a smile. My dog gets so excited when he realizes he is there and has made some fun friends. The report cards always bring a smile as well as the daily pictures. Dog Tired keeps my dog busy with enrichment activities and provides an overall great experience - my dog is definitely exhausted after a day at Dog Tired. Love them!!!!!!!!

We used Dog Tired Pet Services for our Doggy Wedding Nanny! The staff came to our home before the day to meet the dogs and get to know their routine. On the day of our wedding, Claudia went to our house picked up our dogs, brought them to the reception site for photos, and took them back home and fed them dinner, etc. We have two dogs and one is a rescue and she was so comfortable with the handler! When we arrived for photos they had our two dogs with their flower collars on ready to go. They brought treats and their favorite toys to assist with the photos. Throughout the day we even got email updates including photos and details of their day! It made our wedding dreams possible to have our two dogs a part of our big day. Thank you for everything!

The Dawg Tired team is absolutely great! Our hyper terrier loves going to doggy daycare and we have seen so much improvement in his behavior at home as a result. I know when I drop him off that he is going to have so much fun and be well-taken care of. Dawg Tired takes such great care of our 3 kitties. We have been using their services for over 3 years now. We lived in West Ash and had wonderful service, then after moving to Mount Pleasant they were more than accommodating by reassigning one of their other sitters from this area. We always receive superb service with updates from every visit as well as a great hand written progress report when we get back! Our trash is even taken out : ) We won't use anyone else to take care of our kitties other than Gray's team at Dawg Tired.

This is actually just Day 1 of a week with Dog Tired. I had/have a private sitter who was not always available, so I contacted Dog Tired based on their reputation. They listened carefully then recommended one of their sitters with lots of experience with senior or special needs dogs. She spent A LOT of time with me to make sure they were clear on my dog's needs - spinal cord issues, dietary restrictions, and lots of meds - and then we booked our first stay. On the eve of their first stay I developed pneumonia and needed to reschedule, and was vague about when I would be able to fly to my Conference. They were very nice, understanding, and professional, and by the next day when I felt I would be able to travel - L the Sitter was there pronto - I got text photos, updates and some thoughtful clarifying questions as I was changing flights in Atlanta. Top notch. I'll update after the trip, but if Day 1 and the experience leading up to it is any indication - this organization is truly the best! Thank you Dog Tired! Kate and Leah - you are shining stars!
