I was impressed with how much they paid attention to every little thing, and the results were fantastic. It's a hidden gem for pet owners who want exceptional care without spending too much.

The people who work here are super nice and helpful, which makes the visit really fun. They go the extra mile to make sure you and your pet are comfortable, and they give really great care. As soon as you arrive, you can see that making customers happy is really important to them. They pay attention to every little thing and give each person and pet special treatment. I went to a place that took really good care of my pet. The people there were very friendly and did everything they could to make my pet happy. They paid a lot of attention to my pet's needs and made sure they looked nice and were treated well. The place was really clean and tidy, showing that they cared about keeping things neat and germ-free. The team knew a lot about animals and made the place calm and peaceful. They did even more than I expected, and my pet looked and felt great when we left.

Tammy and her staff at this facility do an amazing job with our two Italian Spinoni. Both of our dogs are large, the older gentle and mellowed at 3 yo and the younger wired and playful at 2 yo. Solomon and Sam (respectively) went to one other groomer in the city before we discovered them. The other groomer did a fine job, however Bark n Meow staff consistently excel in everything they do! Our babies love them, and look so happy and spiffy when we pick them up. In our LowCountry are, few people know how to groom this breed, but we were ever so blessed to discover Tammy used to groom Spinoni in competition. How fortunate are we!Would highly recommend the salon, and be confidant your baby will get excellent care.

I recently discovered this groomer's sign on the road -heading to the dog park on Johns Island(another great place). I dropped off my daughter's golden retriever and my chocolate lab - and picked them up a few hours later all cleaned up. They looked great and were happy to have their hair and nails done. I was nervous to find a new groomer when I moved to Johns Island because my little girl get very anxious when in new situations, Tammy did an awesome job of taking care of Lilly and making me feel comfortable leaving her there. I called to set up an appointment. I inquired as to the prices and what all services they provide. We usually get our Pomeranian cut pretty close due to allergies in our family. I was rudely berated for shaving my Pomi and then told to try Petsmart as if I was not good enough to go anywhere else. She hardly gave me a chance to explain why we had him shaved just kept telling me how awful it was and I felt like a horrible person by the end of the call. There is a way to inform people and let them know the best treatment for your pet. She had very little tact and even if I decided not to shave my Pomi I wouldn’t use her services. So sad

Two weeks ago was my first time ever walking into the store. Very impressed by the inventory that such a small store had. Tammy who I had met for the very first time was very helpful. She took the time and went over different types of dog food and which each dog food represented and done. After being in the store for about 30 to 35 minutes she had packed a bag for me with over 10 different samples for my dog to choose from. Today I walked into the store, to let Tammy know which brand my dog enjoyed eating. She had the product in stock pulled it from the shelf rang me up and said let your dog choose a chewy for a treat. From here on out I will be purchasing all of my dogs needs from the little store on Johns Island. It was a breath of fresh air to be able to buy local and support a local business owner.

Have had outstanding customer service from this store! Went in to talk with Tammy (the owner) about switching dog foods. She spent about 15 minutes with me talking about what ingredients to look for in pet food, what to avoid, etc.. This lady really knows her stuff!The most incredible part - not only did Tammy spend a lot of time patiently explaining the world of dog food to me, but she wrapped it up by sending me home with several free samples of food for my dogs to try out. Where a lot of business owners might push to make an immediate sale, Tammy seemed to really care that I got something that was not only good for my dogs, but also something they really liked. It's tough to find that level of service these days!As long as Bark 'n Meow is still open, I'll always buy my pet's food from here.

Tammy did a great job with our very timid golden mix boy. He is scared of everything! She took the time to take each step slowly, build trust, and give him time to rest between steps. She even took the time to reassure my very anxious husband that Remi was doing well when he called (multiple times). He was calm, relaxed, and looked so handsome when we picked him up! The owner is incredibly helpful! I went into the store today needing help with dog shampoos. She offered many suggestions and inquired about the issues my dog was having. She offered me a sample of a shampoo her groomers use and personally wrote down instructions about how to use it for the best results. My dog is freshly bathed, and her incessant scratching and biting has finally seized. This was a much better experience than going to any other pet stores in town! I will definitely bring my business back!

Please do not take your pets to this business for grooming. Our dog was mistreated and physically harmed while there for a bath and toenail trim. She returned to me more dirty than when I dropped her off. Nails on two of her paws were profusely bleeding and she is limping and not able to put weight on a third paw. She also has what looks like a burn mark on her stomach.I asked to speak to the Owner, because I was sure that they would want to know that their employees were mistreating the animals that were left in their care. It turns out that the Owner is the one who groomed my dog. She was rude, confrontational, and even resorted to name calling. She denied any wrongdoing. I was calm when I was addressing the injuries to my dog, but she was not. I wish I had some other way to prevent this woman from ever getting near a dog again. Her anger and volatility was clearly evident and what she did to my dog is criminal.DO NOT PUT YOUR PETS IN THIS WOMAN'S CARE!

After going my first time, I asked about a cough that one of the owner's pomeranians running free in the lobby exhibited. She was honest and said it was kennel cough. Thankfully, my dog was up to date on vaccination but this only decreases severity of infection, it does not prevent disease entirely. This is a very contagious disease. I was hoping that there was some mistake in not asking for my proof of vaccination. I couldn't have imagined they didn't require vaccines since they have a boarding and grooming facility. Months later, I called to make a second appointment and asked if they had a vaccination requirement policy and Tammy (owner) told me no. I informed her that because of this I wont be able to continue my business there. Knowing that her own pet had kennel cough and she allowed it to be running around where the other dogs would be without informing owners unless they ask and not requiring vaccination is not good.Also, upon entering the facility, there were about 10 dogs running free in the lobby. No one even knew I came in the shop and it took about 5 minutes for someone to come up front. These animals could have easily escaped when the door opened or have been stolen by someone entering and had plenty of time to get away. I want to know my dog is safe and being monitored. I am personally not comfortable with the care of the pets there: knowingly exposing to contagious disease and not having a well monitored facility. I am sure the staff/owner love animals but that doesn't always mean the best care is being provided.I only post this review because I feel it is my obligation to pet's health and their owner's knowledge. With modifications to vaccination requirements and proper monitoring of the facility this could be a great establishment. I wish them the best and hope they can see their need to make these changes!

We purchased two Poms form Tammy, the first one , he was stubborn to house train. I taught him to sit, stay, dance, beg, play ball after a while it was just fine. The second puppy we bought a year later and he was smart a a wip. Of course the older dog does teach the younger dog the good habits and sometimes the bad. Tammy always gives great advice.

I was thrilled when this store opened on Johns Island. The idea of a local pet store with quality products was right up my alley. I've made 3-4 attempts to support this local business, but I've thrown in the towel.Do you have retractable leashes? "No, I don't like them." Insert face scrunch that smells a fart and the owner went right back to her gossiping conversation with the other lady seated near the desk. No assistance or further suggestion of the leashes in stock and not another look in my direction... Cue awkward exit stage left.Another time I went in for a new doggy dish. Same lady, same pleasant demeanor and same obvious portrayl of annoyance when I entered the store.Again, I attempted to support this local store and stopped in a separate time to inquire about giving my bear a birthday bath. I received the same awful attitude and abrupt response as previous visits.Who would've thought one individual could possibly be treated so poorly when attempting to give a small business money?Save the headache and go elsewhere.

Worst groomer I've ever experienced!!! They knicked my dog with the clippers SEVERAL times. Called to complain about the cuts and the owner never returned my calls. I can say this is a continuous issue with this groomer, as my mother has experienced the same problem with her own dog. Save your dog the pain and take them somewhere else to be groomed!!! Awful service. Awful groomers.

HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE MANNERS, HORRIBLE BEHAVIORI cannot speak of the grooming, however the way the owner/employees speak to customers is completely unhospitable and disgustingly rude. Several groups gathered outside watching her "train" A German shepherd puppy while dragging it across the cement (in front of the owner) for more than 20 minutes, not even using the proper harness, but instead a neck hold walking leash, and as more groups gathered and were calling the police on her, I came to warn her (since I was a regular customer for products) to let her know that there were some concerned citizens calling the law, and she went from 0 to 60 yelling at me from the top of her lungs to get out of her store and treated me very rudely. I am almost 9 months pregnant, and couldn't believe her aggression,her violence with shoving my husband who's holding our 1yr old,out the door. Maybe she must've thought I was one of the 3 gathered groups speaking to police, but either way I will never be back,and have warned several clients of mine who will now never be back either.
