What can I say, I was treated like garbage and felt like garbage when I left. I visited Family Dollar in Iva today, 1/8/2024 at 4:15pm to pickup a few items after a long exhausting day at work, I too, work flipping retail ! So I know it can get overwhelming, but ranting and complaining and talking bad about a customer being stupid because they can’t read a sign that says cash only— absolutely appalled me. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE… EVER! This chain has gone downhill and needs to retrain their employees’ on how to treat their consumer’s with respect. I will spend my money elsewhere. Maybe someone needs to announce aloud that you are only excepting cash as they enter the store, I didn’t see the sign(s) as I walked in. I was judged so hard and talked down to, it was truly upsetting and I felt so embarrassed. I don’t shop at this store, so this was a quick in and out, because it was in passing. Sounds like they have this ongoing issue of the system going down, I wasn’t aware of this issue. I’d give this store a zero if it were an option. I kept apologizing and almost cried, honestly. But now, now I’m absolutely angered by my horrid nightmare of an experience. Seriously though, if you don’t like your job find a new one. And stay away from customer service because y’all are 100% terrible at it.

The store manager is absolutely terrible! Every single time I see her she’s outside smoking with another employee or even customers. She will sit there and talk down about customers right in front of them. It’s truly disgusting how bad her attitude is. I miss the old employees, this store is going downhill and I will be going to dollar general now.

Rude cashiers. Won't be back. I live in Iva and I'll be taking my business to Dollar general. Nice remodel on your store but you need to do something with your nasty tempered cashiers.

Came in the store the other night and the girl with the red hair smelled just like marijuana and I had my kids with me you can smell it in the air when I pulled in And the skinny short woman looks like she be high off pills or something and no ones comes to the register untill they just see you standing I would prefer you go to Anderson but I will be reaching out to someone about this situation need to hire the other manager back cause those are not it !!!!

Staff is generally as cheerful and lively as possible, working in retail, but the effort to be is noticable. Well stocked, without everything being all in the aisles--a long standing Iva chain store tradition-- and I haven't gotten home and upon closer inspection found that my lunch meat was green or the yogurt had fur, like at another Iva store I'll leave nameless in their non-stock-rotating-shame.

It was so hot when I went in. The candles looked like they were beginning to wilt and the chocolate is melted. Not sure why they store would even be open when they have a dollar tree a few blocks down and they are now basically the same store. Seems like a little common sense could go a long way way. I would recommend just going to the dollar tree. Tiny parking lot hot store over crowed floor.. poor girl working looked like she had been rung through and through management treats there own employees like that imagine how they will treat us.

The good manager left and now its just rude women, I never see someone doing cashier work until there's a long line up front so I wouldn't recommend coming in if you're trying to be fast.

Conveniently located in Iva South Carolina and remodel just a couple years ago. They have a good amount of food items and frozen foods from Ice Cream to Chinese you name it. Like most places today they were out of the good nasal spray the husband likes but plenty of other things to be found.

Great customer service, the manager is always super friendly but down to earth at the same time. Their is always clean & they seem to be on point with their inventory. I'd choose them over DG any day!

It's a nice dollar store. They are getting better with inventory control. Not running out of products they should always have stocked like dairys, breads, cereals etc. I understand it's a dollar store & there are sometimes limited quantities available but there are certain products not limited & they should always be available. If they are not your customers will go where they are.

Coke products 3 for $9 is misleading. It appears to be a case when it's actually 6 pack. I was too exhausted to take them back in when I realized what happened. Won't go back to shop there
