This place is absolutely wonderful! The staff are attentive and very friendly. The beer selection is great. We had the blackened shrimp appetizer which was delivered very quickly and was SO GOOD. The shrimp were huge and beautifully seasoned. I had a Cuban sandwich and sweet potato fries. Delicious!And the fries were crispy which is rare. My husband had fish and chips and ate every bite. I highly recommend this yummy out-of-the-way place!

Lovely day having lunch at the bar after helping my bf on a shoot of a pool. We had the orange hibiscus cider, lemonade, the fish and chips, side salad which was so good, Jeff got the special which was a chicken bacon ranch wrap that was hot and well-balanced, we had regular fries and cajun fries, we loved it all. Very sweet bartender taking care of us. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Plenty of salad and veggie options, hummus, sides, cole slaw, mozz sticks, onion rings, and the like

Favorite isle of Palms bar! It gets crazy crowded and the bartenders handle it with ease and smiles! Very local spot so be patient if locals get a beer before you, the bartenders know what they want.Awesome live music and nice new bathrooms! Great stop before a big show at the windjammer.If you’re eating try the French dip, burger or wings. Also, Caesar salad with chicken is good!

Indoor, patio, and outdoor seating. Almost like going to Cheers where everyone knows your name. Friendly servers, live music, good food and drink. Can't help but have a good time. I had the Dirty Elvis Fries and they were amazing!

Passing thru on our vacation( never been to this area before). Thought we’d pop in for a cold beer. Took a few minutes to get a beer and not a very friendly welcome from any employee. Sat down , observed for a while and figured out if you weren’t a local or a man- hospitality , customer service was awful… especially from the blonde woman with braids. No name tags. Observed any man walking thru the door and there was no wait or hesitation from the “said braid lady”. My sister owns a bar- I’ve been in customer service for years. Would definitely not recommend this place for a “female good time”.:Windjammers, Coconut Joes is the place to go!

Wow, this place had the best burger I have ever had ! Was a little worried when I walked in the door, bc it's more of a bar than a resturant. The food and staff are friendly. This is a type of place where everyone knows everybody. Very popular little place for locals. Plus great music.

We visited The Dinghy for a late lunch and had the fish sandwich and fish tacos (coconut shrimp tacos). The food was pretty good as well as the service. I requested a beachy, not-too-sweet drink and the server whipped up something fantastic! Still not sure what it was, but she seemed to know what she was doing. :) The atmosphere definitely has a local feel to it, and all the folks there seemed to be having a great time. This a a good spot to stop for a drink after a day at the beach, and is just across the road from a public access.

They should not advertise for takeout, if you try to call in an order they just hang up on you. *edit- once we did finally get a order, both hamburgers we ordered were severely undercooked and a order of shrimp that was on the receipt and paid for was not included in the order. It was a very discouraging start to our trip after driving a good part of the day to get to IOP.

BEST THING ABOUT IT...IT WAS STILL OPEN AT 10pm and had food!!ONLY $8 a Slice of cheese Pizza, smaller than ANY SLICE OF PIZZA ever had, might as well been the size of ONE slice of a personal frozen pizza, you could buy from Walmart!! DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT...ONLY REASON FOR 3 STARS WAS BECAUSE OF THE BAND, THEY WERE AWESOME!!

Went due to the latest review we read....Wow, not a good wow. Ordered 2 burgers and 2 beers... no service, then finally got food and had a Quart of mayo on each burger. Couldn't even eat it slid around. Maybe they should call them sliders. Beer was warm, no bathrooms and all this for the great price of $41.00!My guess is the few good reviews that we read were written by all the friends that occupied the bar and hung out with the help. It's a DEFINITE NO for us... never again. Should have gotten a snack from the gas station! If you are visiting on vacation... keep driving on by.

We stopped in for cheap drinks after time at the beach and it was absolutely perfect! Not a tourist trap like places right on the water, nothing fancy, just good drinks and a fun, divey atmosphere. They have their own parking lot which made getting in easy. There’s a long outdoor patio that’s dog friendly and has a good amount of seating, plus two indoor areas.
