After reading the reviews, my husband and I decided we had to go and meet his redhead for ourselves. We paid the stupid parking fees and fought the crowds to go have the rude experience. I was ready with my snarky comebacks and was excited to see a redhead behind the counter when we entered the store. My husband engaged in conversation with Red about Bubba, the bird. I must say she was quite friendly and pleasant. No rudeness. No yelling or staring with evil intent. She chatted, joked and rang us up without incident. I bought my over priced souvenirs without the drama I had anticipated. Google reviews are obviously not always a reliable source.

I don't know how to even explain the look of pure hate coming from the staff in this store. The red headed cashier was horribly rude and looked as if she hated us being there. I would NOT ever go back or even suggest shopping there.Why run a shop if you hate having customers... totally ridiculous! Stop supporting the hate these shops give off.. I don't know what or who her problem is with ... if it racial, or just hate in general but it feels so disrespectful when you are there helping her store strive.

This is a fun beachy store to walk through. We especially loved talking to Bubba and listening to him say “hello” to the kids! I also found a perfect glass container to collect sand and shells. The neighboring beach store did not have that!

We have enjoyed this store and Bubba for a lot of years!! My son always wants to go see Bubba on every trip.We always come back home with something from this shop!!This year we introduced some of the Grandchildren to the IOP and to Bubba!!

By reading past reviews, I'm not far off the target. Redhead cashier, employee, owner...I don't know. Psycho? Definitely! This THING started screaming...(REALLY LOUD SCREAMING), around 7:45 to check out NOW, OR GET OUT! Then, proceded to lock the doors. With about 20 customers (including myself), inside! Flip out much there, Cruela? Listen....don't say you haven't been warned. STAY AWAY. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!

Store was absolutely filthy & needed to be swept or vacuumed, plus the cashier was extremely rude. I know she sees tourists all the time, but smile & say hello &/or thank you. You have a job because of tourists.

Nice shop. Cool bird. The red headed lady cashier scrolling social media didn’t want to be there. I was getting ready to buy some stuff and my 3 year old who didn’t climb up to see the crabs the first time climbed up while I was getting ready to check out and the cashier asked me to please get my son which I promptly did. Not harm, no foul.Don’t know if she was having a rough day or what, because she shook her head in frustration with her head in her palm and an unhappy expression on her face. So she lost the owner of the store some money because I wasn’t going to give my money to someone with a sour attitude towards me. I hope she gets some joy & peace in her personal life because her attitude may drive more customers away. Lady, I hope you feel better...

the red head lady acted like she didn’t wanna be there, she was very disrespectful and was rude. i didn’t like her attitude at all. she sat there and watched me and my friend while looking at stuff as if she was trying to see if we were going to steal. it made us very uncomfortable. will NOT come back again!! oh & got a hermit crab & it died in a span of a day!

me and my friends go every year and the cashiers attitude seems to get worse every year. she always looks at us like we’re gonna steal and you can tell she doesn’t want to be there.

It was a nice shop until the red headed lady yelled at my child!! My child who cannot read yet grabbed some of the blue pebbles in the hermit crab display and was letting them gently fall back into the display out of her hand. This lady screamed at my child and said “no no no get your hands out of there!” She yelled loud enough for everyone in the store to hear her. I told her she needed to watch her tone when talking to children and that there was no reason to yell like that! She said well there are signs up. I said well my child cannot read yet! We left our things there and left, as did other customers who witnessed this. She has such a bad attitude even before this incident! I also noticed from the reviews that we weren’t her first victims. We will never go back into that store again!

It has cute souvenirs and other stuff but the people there are so rude. The red head lady is very disrespectful. The parrot talks more to you than the owner, and workers.
