Overpriced for what was offered, but we had an enjoyable stay during the slow season. The pools were nearly empty (in December) and staff were incredibly friendly, for the most part. The older valet gentlemen were delightful, but the younger dude could use some skills on having a service industry attitude. Front desk staff were helpful and welcoming. A number of the restaurants were closed or had shortened hours which was unfortunate, but understandable. The room was comfortable and spacious.

The Boardwalk Inn has always been one of our favorite places to stay. Well no more. Our 1st night there was noisy and we just tolerated it hoping the next night would be better-WRONG!!! They were hosting a convention or conference and apparently the clientele there aren’t familiar with how to act in such a pristine facility. We would have left during the night but were too exhausted to make the drive back home. We are thoroughly disappointed! The observation of “quiet time” 10 pm-10 am is not adhered to nor are there consequences if you do it adhere. Also beware of the charges in place prior to your stay. There is now a charge to park your vehicle if you valet or not if $35.00. Lots and lots of added fees folks.Noteworthy details: Noisy and not restful facility any more

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this resort and we likely won’t be returning since we found our stay disappointing. We are Hyatt members and we have been mainly staying at Hyatt locations across the country. Comparatively, this resort was very busy and the food options were expensive but nothing was amazing. We did like the pizza place but wouldn’t go back to any of the other restaurants again. There weren’t many options for lunch or dinner if you are gluten free. Eventually we ended up going off site and loved some of the local places but we had hoped to enjoy being able to stay on the resort since the isle of palms on the weekend has heavy traffic. Overall, the resort was packed and it very difficult to find space to enjoy the pools even with the adults only pool. It’s also expensive to rent beach chairs and an umbrella ($45 per couple/day) and if you self park it would be a decent walk to get your own from the car to the beach. While we had two excellent interactions with staff members (Ty and a front desk female employee who worked in the evening) our other interactions didn’t match the excellent customer service and hospitality we have experienced at other Hyatt locations. While this resort is in a beautiful location and the rooms are very comfortable and clean we would suggest visiting other Hyatt Resorts instead. We were glad that we had only booked 3 nights here and the rest of our trip elsewhere.Rooms: Our room was not ocean facing and it didn’t have a patio but it was quiet and we had a pretty view on the resort side. It was very clean and unlike other reviews we found it updated and matching our expectations.

We had an amazing stay as a family of 5 in March 2022. We did a “staycation” night for our oldest son’s 4th birthday and brought along our then 2 year old & 5 month old. The staff, specifically the manager & valets went above & beyond making our son feel welcome & so special! They even had dinosaur & spider-man themed goodies & a cake waiting for him in his room. It was a memorable, enjoyable & stress free weekend. We’re making it a tradition & will be back in April! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our time here. The heat didn't work in our room and we had to change rooms. The staff working when we arrived was much more accommodating about it than the next shift who could seem to care less about our inconvenience of re-packing and moving after we had gotten settled. Rooms were very clean and nice. Property is beautiful and massages were very relaxing. Valet parking attendants were always available, polite and quick.

We've loved our stay here in Wild Dunes. The Inn is beautiful, peaceful, and very clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Great beach access and they make it easy to enjoy the surroundings. The only downside is that most of the food venues are closed since it's off season ... However, that makes the stay quieter and more chill because the crowds are so light. Overall, I'd love to return to the Boardwalk Inn. The customer service and amenities, and rooms are all top notch.

Very nice place to stay! Very classy and wonderful staff! Very elegant restaurant on the main floor that has amazing breakfast (try their French toast). This was a last minute mini beach trip and we found a room here last minute. We will definitely go back. It exceeded all of our expectations.

I will not go back place was totally understaffed. The public bathrooms were a mess with paper towels and toilet paper all over the floors. They ran out of food at one restaurant. The pool area you had to wait at the counter in long lines in order to get anything to eat or drink. Also on 2 different days they had no towels at the pool area. Was expecting a pampered resort and was Totally disappointed. I will be telling my friends that we will have to go to the other side of Isle of Palm to get better accommodation.

Been here several times and always really really enjoy it. Excellent bar food menu and the drinks are fabulous. Just go here and kick back and enjoy a great SC beach bar one of the best you will find located oceanfront behind the Wild Dunes resort Check it out for sure. A little pricey but the location makes up for it. Isle of palms is one of our favorite places to visit!

The rooms were nice. The valet area is chaotic. The elevator is slow. The pool areas are separated by kids and adults. The pool that was for kids was cold and over crowded. There was a long walk to the beach. The beach had sharp shells in front of the water. You have to pay extra for resort beach chair rentals. Everything is spread out on the property. It is very remote. There is a long drive to town. Very different from the online pictures.

First visit to this hotel. Very busy at arrival on Friday and Staff seemed a bit under trained. Simple side items very pricey for a snack.Upon checkout on Sunday, the Staff were very professional and answered the many questions we had about the beach. This was absolutely the "Best Shell Beach" we have ever visited! A great place to collect conch shells.

Not a bad place, drink and food is way over priced. The room wasn't the cleanest, the hallway was gross smelled like urine and the Stair Wells looked like you were in an old factory dirty and cluttered. The rest of the facility is really nice though. The staff is generally friendly but lazy had to call 3 times to get a receipt emailed and after using military alphabet to spell out my email 2 different times I was finally able to get it emailed.

Charming amenities, front desk staff very helpful. The casual island atmosphere was nice but sometimes overflowed to the wait and valet staff. The rooms were large, clean, beds comfortable and good views (we were on the 5th floor)

My fiance and I went to the Boardwalk Inn to meet with the director of catering for our upcoming wedding. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The gentleman manning the complimentary valet didn't make me feel like an idiot for going up the ramp in the wrong direction, but my fiance surely did. The place was very clean and well kept. We would definitely recommend this location to visiting friends and family.

This is our 4th stay at the Boardwalk Inn and we will be back in a few weeks. The service is always amazing. Lots of activities and fun for couples as well as families. The rooms are nice and the hotel feels quite quaint for such a large resort.

What can I say about this place. A totally 5 star hotel. Extremely accommodating, extremely friendly people, great pools, direct access to the beach, beautiful grounds and surroundings, room was beautiful with a great oceanfront view, valet parking, great breakfast, I can go on and on. Its pricey but oh so worth it....

Have stayed at the Boardwalk Inn several times. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and stylish with lots of modern upgrades. Ordered room service one evening and it was fast and the food was delicious.

We had to cancel our reservation three weeks prior to the reservation. The resort is very unresponsive when refunding the deposit. They do not return phone calls and do not issue a credit on your card. This is a very shoddy operation. They have been sitting on our money since January. Be careful doing business with them.

These people are amazing! We were there for a medical appointment the next day in the area. They were so helpful and accommodating. Ordered roomservice and the food was outstanding. We would absolutely love to return for a pleasure trip!

I'm always impressed with the staff and the facilities at The Boardwalk Inn! As a professional photographer in Charleston, I have the opportunity to visit lots of cool venues. Recently I had the pleasure of photographing family portraits on the beach at the end of the boardwalk. What a beautiful location with such picturesque views!!! If you're vacationing in Wild Dunes Resort, or anywhere on Isle of Palms, don't hesitate to reach out. We love photographing family beach sessions!

Boardwalk Inn has the BEST guest service. We had the tiniest problem(we just wanted to make them aware) and they went above and beyond to fix it right away, brought us gifts, wine, refunded $50 to our room and comp'd our souvenirs! The valet was prompt and courteous. When we visit Charleston again, we will be sure to stay here!

Does take a while to find the place in Wild Dunes, but was grear once there. Staff friendly and always helpful. Pools were great and there are chairs and umbrellas for rent on the beach.Boardwalk to pools and beach have shops. Food available between 2 of the pools.
